This was an Onsen trip with my mother and two daughters. Overall, both my mother and I were very satisfied. The price is not cheap, so it goes without saying that the Facility, amenities, and meals were excellent, but above all, the staff’s attentive service and thoughtful hospitality were outstanding. The bath in our Room was wonderful, and we also enjoyed the large public bath that switches between men and women in the morning and at night. The Onsen is sulfur-rich and warmed us up thoroughly. If we have the chance, this is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

The Room was a beautifully renovated guest room with an open-air bath, and I was happy to be able to relax and enjoy the Onsen in the Room as well. The staff were very courteous, and we had a comfortable stay. Dinner was delicious, featuring mainly seafood. We also really enjoyed watching the explanation and live demonstration of Oga Peninsula’s specialty stone-grilled dish. Breakfast was a buffet, and everything was tasty—we were completely full. It was a bit of a long trip, but we made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

The parking lot is less than a 1-minute walk from the Accommodation, but cars cannot be brought right up to the entrance, so the proprietress came to our car to pick up our luggage. Dinner was the Shige-no-Ie group dining Plan; the hot pot was served with their homemade broth instead of ponzu, and it was very delicious. The soba rice porridge served at breakfast was also very tasty. However, we chose a room with an open-air bath, but perhaps due to its age, one tile had come off and there were quite a few dirty bits of sealant and debris floating in the water, which was disappointing. There were several other spots that felt loose when touched, so I think they should be repaired before more tiles come off. My husband used it and said both the Onsen and the garden were wonderful, but my daughter and I couldn’t use it because it felt unclean, which was unfortunate. All of the staff were easy to talk to and spoke to my daughter every time they saw her; everyone was very friendly and it was great.

Although the building and Room are not the newest, the staff’s thoughtful hospitality—clearly reflecting excellent training—felt genuinely warm rather than scripted. The food was also stylish and delicious, and we had a very comfortable stay.

Thank you for the wonderful service—it made our stay truly exceptional. First, I accidentally made a Reservation with the wrong gender, but you quickly brought us yukata in different sizes, which was very helpful. With fewer guests staying, the attentive, personalized service really stood out. We also enjoyed the complimentary pudding—it was delicious. The Onsen was available at night as well, so we could relax and take our time. The bed felt a bit firm and slightly uncomfortable to sleep on, but other than that we had no complaints at all. Also, it was pouring rain at checkout, and you kindly handed us towels—this helped us so much. We truly appreciated your thoughtful attention to detail. We would love to stay here again when we visit Kusatsu.

Surrounded by delicious meals, a free-flowing natural hot spring bath, and adorable cats, I was able to spend a gentle, peaceful time. Thank you very much.

Both the Room and the Onsen are wonderful, and the staff and the proprietress are warm and welcoming—every visit is truly relaxing.

We were able to stay at Kashiwaya again this year as a family, and we had a truly wonderful time. With only a few Rooms, we hardly ran into other guests even in the baths, so we could quietly enjoy the excellent waters of Bessho Onsen. The meals are gently seasoned and make the most of local ingredients, and no matter when we visit, it’s a mysterious Accommodation where we always sleep soundly at night. We look forward to visiting again.

We stayed here as a family of four during summer vacation. We chose the No Meals Included plan because we planned to enjoy street food along Dogo Onsen’s Haikara Street, and it turned out to be an outstanding stay: everything was spotless, the Onsen was excellent, the futons were very comfortable, and access to Haikara Street was great. Above all, the staff worked seamlessly as a team and responded quickly and courteously—it was truly impressive. Our whole family agreed we were lucky to find such a wonderful Accommodation. This time we booked No Meals Included, but the Ryokan meals also looked delicious, so next time we’d like to stay with meals included. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again. The free-flowing, continuously fed Onsen was wonderfully abundant, and each private bath had a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine was perfect for wine lovers, with rare wines to match. The interior design—and the lamps placed throughout—were all beautifully chosen. Right in front of the Accommodation, there is a row of cherry trees along the riverbank; I can only imagine how stunning the view must be during cherry blossom season. I won’t wait until then—I will definitely return again soon. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We made a Reservation to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was very calm, and it was so quiet and relaxing that we almost forgot we were in Dogo. The Onsen was wonderful, and we were amazed by the generous breakfast. We enjoyed a luxurious meal in the morning and then relaxed again in the Onsen. The hostess and all the staff provided outstanding service. We would love to stay here again.

The meals were delicious, and having a private family bath allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay. I was happy that yukata-style loungewear was provided. I did feel the waistband elastic could have been a bit tighter, but it was still comfortable to wear. We could sense thoughtful attention in many little details, which made us feel warmly welcomed. We stayed here for the first time with our dog to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The welcome drink and dessert were very delicious! The welcome treat for dogs also seemed tasty—our pup finished it in no time! There’s also a drink bar available at certain times, which was great. They even have alcohol, which was the best!! The dog run was air-conditioned, so it was comfortable even in midsummer. Our dog ran around until completely tired out. Dinner is buffet-style, so it’s hard to decide what to eat (lol). The roast beef and sashimi served as a one-plate set at the table were amazing! Alcohol is available for an additional fee, but the food is so good you can’t help wanting a drink (lol). You can dine together with your dog, and there’s also a buffet just for dogs, so we really enjoyed the meal. Since it was our daughter’s birthday, we ordered a cake for an additional fee, and it was delicious as well! The staff celebrated with us too, and our daughter was thrilled! You can also use a private bath. We used it this time; we had 90 minutes, so we could relax without rushing. Dogs are allowed in the private bath too, which is wonderful! There were post-bath drinks and ice cream in the fridge—also fantastic! It’s well worth paying the extra fee! By the way, I also used the large public bath in the morning. The view was great, and it felt wonderful bathing while looking out over Lake Hamana! The breakfast sandwiches were filling and very tasty! They come with pudding too—again, amazing! One of the reasons this Hotel felt so good is definitely how pleasant all of the staff are!! Everyone we met was smiling; they talked to our dog and played with him too. Our pup got lots of love! If I had to mention something negative: although parts have been renovated, there were some areas where you could feel that the building itself is old and showing its age. But personally, there were far more positives than anything else. How easy it is to stay with your dog here, how great the staff service is, how delicious the food is, how relaxing the baths are—we went home satisfied as a whole family! I’m glad we chose this Hotel for our first overnight trip with our dog. We’d love to stay again!!

We stayed for one night in Yayoi in July with our dog as a couple. We’ve stayed at many dog-friendly Accommodations, and this is the best one for us. I especially love sulfur Onsen, and while other dog-friendly Accommodations we’ve stayed at had Onsen, none had sulfur springs. Here, there is also a free-flowing natural hot spring bath in the Room, so we didn’t have to leave our dog waiting to go to a public bath. Even though many places don’t allow dogs in the bathroom area, this Accommodation provided a dog bathtub, shampoo, and towels—I've never stayed anywhere so thoughtful. Our senior large dog kept coming to watch us enjoy the Onsen with curiosity. Just walking through the spilled water from the free-flowing sulfur spring at the washing area turned his rough, cracked paw pads into smooth ones—just like the Reviews said. It’s truly an amazing Onsen. The Imabari bath towel after bathing was fluffy and very comfortable. Since it was a No Meals Included stay, we mainly brought takeout from Nasu restaurants. We also bought Nasu cheese and sausages along with drinks and snacks, and picked up bread and yogurt for breakfast at a nearby shop before heading to the Accommodation. With the best sulfur Onsen, delicious food and drinks from Nasu, a quiet setting, we were able to relax completely. Our dog also seemed very satisfied with the cool highland climate, peaceful greenery-filled surroundings, and private feel without running into other dogs—he looked truly relaxed. All of us were soothed by both nature and the Onsen and went home extremely happy. My husband said he wants to come again in winter too—so we’ll be making another Reservation. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining Room, so we could relax and eat at our own pace. The service timing was perfect, and we were fully satisfied with the quality and generous portions of the meals. We also loved that they featured plenty of locally sourced ingredients. The fireworks were spectacular from the rooftop, and the open-air bath in our Room was excellent.

Our family of four, ranging in age from our 60s to 90s, enjoyed a relaxed and unhurried stay. We were very satisfied with the Onsen, the meals, and the Room, but above all, the warm hospitality of the staff truly put us at ease. The calm atmosphere of Owani Onsen was wonderful, and we would love to return once more before the snowy season begins.

This is a wonderful Ryokan that moves me every time I visit. The Room, baths, cuisine, the staff’s smiles, and the overall atmosphere throughout the property are all exceptional, and time seems to slow down. Both the fresh enthusiasm of the younger staff and the understated attentiveness of the experienced staff naturally bring a smile. The welcome service includes soft drinks as well as wine—and that wine is surprisingly delicious. Breakfast also comes with a choice of drinks; the 100% peach juice is pure peach—peach! peach! peach!—and absolutely worth trying at least once. And the cuisine is outstanding. Though the chef is young, everything—from seasonal menus and presentation to masterful use of dashi—is superb. The creativity is remarkable, and the expressive artistry of each dish (including the tableware) is truly next level. The view from the open-air bath in our Room—sunlit green trees against a blue sky—was beautiful, and soaking in an open-air bath during a sudden downpour was an experience with its own special charm. This is a lovely kappo-style Ryokan that soothes me every time I stay. Having visited in spring and summer, I would love to return in autumn next time.

Our dog weighs around 10 kg, so we really appreciated being able to walk him on a leash. The building is spacious, so we were able to relax without running into many other dogs. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The meat and fish were very fresh, with a wide variety of dishes—we were completely satisfied. Every staff member was kind and welcoming. We would love to stay here again if we have the chance. Thank you very much.

We returned to Koyokaku for the first time in a year. When it comes to Ureshino, Koyokaku is our favorite Accommodation as a couple. This time we stayed in a twin Room with a private indoor Onsen bath, and being able to enjoy the Onsen anytime is truly luxurious. For dinner, we enjoyed grilled Saga beef, colorful salads, and sashimi until we were completely full. After that, we took a relaxing walk together—something we don’t often do in everyday life—and realized again that this special time was possible thanks to this Accommodation. We were able to rest comfortably as well. Breakfast was just as wonderful: Onsen tofu, salad with roast beef, grilled fish, an Onsen egg, and rice porridge with six different toppings—such a luxury, and everything tasted amazing. This trip was another fantastic one. Thank you very much to all the staff for your kind hospitality again. We will definitely visit again.
