The Room is spacious, and the Hotel is very clean. The drink bar from evening to night was also very relaxing and great. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious! I will definitely stay here again next time!

I have stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan with ocean views, but this was one of the most memorable. The views from the Room and the open-air bath were outstanding—thanks to the Hotel’s hilltop location with nothing obstructing the scenery, as well as the serene beauty of the Seto Inland Sea itself. There are very few man-made structures nearby, and the landscape created by the scattered islands is truly stunning. In the distance, we could see bridges of the Shimanami Kaido and parts of Imabari’s townscape, while boats passing below from time to time added a lovely touch to the view. I felt this Hotel is well worth staying at even just to relax and take in this scenery. Because it was listed as “Casual” on IKYU, I initially imagined a standard Hotel that simply highlights its views. In reality, however, we experienced warm, unpretentious hospitality from all staff members. Dinner was not a typical set menu; it showed thoughtful creativity throughout and was delicious. Breakfast was buffet-style, and in particular, I still remember how wonderful the locally harvested blueberries were. This time we rented a car at Hiroshima Station: on our first night we stayed at a Ryokan on Etajima; on day two we toured Takehara before taking a ferry over and enjoying beautiful Setouchi island views from Mount Kamimine prior to check-in. The next day we visited Okunoshima to spend time with its rabbits, then headed home via Mihara to Hiroshima Airport. The Hotel was also extremely convenient as a base for sightseeing routes starting from Hiroshima City toward Kure, Takehara, and Mihara—and we were fully satisfied with every aspect: scenery, dining, and hospitality.

Tokachi Gardens Hotel’s biggest appeal was that, despite its extremely convenient location right in front of Obihiro Station, it offers a large public bath with moor hot spring water. The rooms are not as sleek and modern as the newest hotels; instead, they have a slightly nostalgic city-hotel feel. However, they are well equipped with everything you need, and I was able to relax comfortably. Bath towels and face towels are provided in the public bath area, so it’s convenient to use it with almost nothing to carry from your room. Hair liquid, hair tonic, and aftershave lotion were available, but I did not see basic skincare items such as toner or emulsion/lotion, so if you need them it’s best to bring your own. There is also a coin laundry: in addition to drum-type washer-dryers, there were two sets of separate washers and dryers on the men’s bath side. The PIN-code system made me feel secure since it helps prevent others from opening the machines mid-cycle. Breakfast was also delicious—pork rice bowls (butadon), Totteppo yogurt, Hokkaido-grown rice, local eggs, and more—offering a taste of Tokachi even though it’s an in-front-of-the-station hotel. Those looking for Hokkaido’s great outdoors or the Tokachi Plain atmosphere as part of the hotel stay itself may find it a bit lacking; however, for JR travelers, business trips, or anyone with early-morning plans the next day, this is an extremely practical choice. Being able to enjoy moor hot springs right by Obihiro Station is a major advantage. Overall, rather than a resort-style sightseeing hotel, it felt like a highly practical station-front hotel where you can still get a small taste of Tokachi. Considering the price and location, I was very satisfied with my stay.

Conveniently located near the station. The Room amenities were easy to use, and I had a comfortable stay. Breakfast was also delicious. I was especially impressed by the sea bream chazuke.

Since it’s just one stop from Tokyo Station on the Sobu Rapid Line, I initially wondered if the access might be a bit inconvenient. However, after past experiences feeling overwhelmed by large groups of foreign tourists, I thought it might actually be quieter—and chose this hotel. It turned out to be absolutely the right choice. The Room was spacious enough for two people, and the large public bath was roomy and spotless. It was pleasantly uncrowded at just the right times, so we enjoyed it both at night and in the morning. At night, there was no noise from nearby rooms, and I was able to relax and sleep well. The standout feature was breakfast. These days it’s rare to see so many staff members on hand—everyone worked efficiently while greeting guests warmly. Both the side dishes and rice were delicious. A chef at the Japanese food station served corn takikomi rice and recommended their shaved ice as well, mentioning that even the syrups were homemade. I had matcha syrup with condensed milk, and my friend had Kaga roasted hojicha syrup with condensed milk. The ice was wonderfully fluffy, the syrups were rich in flavor, and the condensed milk had a clean sweetness—it was honestly the best shaved ice I’ve ever had. The front desk staff were also kind, efficient, and a pleasure to interact with. I’ll definitely stay here again when my friend visits Tokyo next time. Thank you very much.

Having a public bath was great for relieving fatigue. The staff greeted us warmly and pleasantly. Breakfast was also delicious.

We stayed with 10 family members across three generations to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday. At check-in, we were given a number ticket and had to wait a bit, perhaps because there weren’t enough staff. However, drinks were free-flowing, and the lobby was lovely, so we didn’t mind waiting. We stayed in the renovated main building. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was one mishap—the bathroom door wouldn’t close—but staff came right away and fixed it so it would close (though it still made some noise). We booked a kaiseki dinner plan and went to the dining venue, but we couldn’t find the reception desk and there were no staff around, so we sat at the table number written on paper. Even after waiting for a while, no one came. When we spoke to a trainee staff member, they came to take our drink order. After that, an experienced staff member in charge of our table came over. Since I had noted in our reservation that this was for my father’s 70th birthday celebration, they brought a red celebratory vest (chanchanko). On top of that, they surprised us with an extra celebratory dish “from the kitchen” and even a gift from the hotel—my father was truly delighted. As expected from Hyakumangoku Hotel. We chose this hotel because we stayed here as a family about 25 years ago and remembered it well—my father said he wanted to stay here again. After the renovation made everything even nicer, being able to return together with more grandchildren than before felt very special. It became a wonderful trip to remember. Thank you very much!

We stayed in a double Room for two. The Room was a bit small, but it was clean. The large public bath was smaller than expected, but it wasn’t too crowded, and there was also an open-air bath, so it was comfortable. We were surprised by the ice cream and probiotic drink after the bath—it was a nice service. We would like to stay again if we have the chance.

We stayed here to celebrate a special anniversary. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. We were able to relax very comfortably. Having a coin laundry on-site also helped us have a great stay. The canal was nearby, and the location was perfect for a walk. I’m glad I was able to purchase the hotel’s Travelers Notebook goods. It became a wonderful memory for us.

I had booked for June and was really looking forward to it, but due to flight cancellations caused by a typhoon I couldn’t make it (thank you again for your very kind and thoughtful support at that time). I’m truly glad I was able to visit this October. It’s already autumn where we live, but Okinawa still felt like summer, with cicadas singing—so we could enjoy a late summer vacation. We checked in late, but because the private pool and jacuzzi were pleasantly warm even at night, we were able to relax and enjoy both at our own pace. The morning pool was also wonderful—the landscaping was beautiful, and the scent of shell ginger was so soothing. The room had a microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, and a hot/cold water dispenser, which was very convenient. We also appreciated the drip coffee provided; it would be even nicer if there were Okinawa-style tea bags such as bitter melon tea, turmeric tea, or jasmine tea. The staff were very kind as well. When we mentioned we were going to Kaichu Road, they recommended soft-serve ice cream at the Nuchima-su factory and Kafu Banta. The two-tone blue-and-white soft serve looked beautiful and tasted great with its salty flavor—and the view there was amazing. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.

The seafood-based French cuisine that makes the most of Awaji Island’s bounty was delicious. We also appreciated the pairing suggestions for those of us who can’t drink much—truly what you’d expect from an auberge. All the staff were kind and welcoming, which was wonderful. The view of the Seto Inland Sea from the terrace and the sea breeze you feel across your whole body are truly soothing. There is no Onsen, and we wished the pool were a bit larger, but that’s not something easily changed. If we had to mention one thing, we would be happy if there could be a bit more space between tables at dinner, or if other tables were less in our line of sight. Even so, despite it being high season, both my husband and I had a very pleasant stay. We would love to visit again.

Although we work within the prefecture, we rarely have the chance to visit Hondo in Amakusa, and this trip finally made our wish come true. The staff were welcoming and made us feel comfortable with their warm smiles. The meals were delicious, and both the flavor and portion sizes were just right. When people think of Amakusa, they often imagine seafood, but there were also meat dishes, with a satisfying blend of Japanese and Western elements. We are originally from Osaka, and I’m sorry to say that we’re not fond of Amakusa’s sweet soy sauce. Especially for sashimi, we prefer Kikkoman soy sauce. We truly appreciate that you kindly accommodated this request. The room was very clean and relaxing, and we were able to unwind at our own pace. We also enjoyed a long, leisurely bath. Thank you very much for helping us make such wonderful memories—we would love to visit again.

The staff were courteous and guided us smoothly upon entering the lobby. The Room was a comfortable size, and it was kept very clean. The location is just off Kumamoto’s shopping arcade, so it’s easy to explore the area even at night. It’s also within walking distance of Kumamoto Castle and tram stops, making it very convenient for sightseeing. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, including several local Kumamoto specialties. We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights), and we appreciated that the menu changed. One point to note is parking. The affiliated parking lot is a bit far from the Hotel and comes with an additional fee. If the parking lot across the street could be used instead, it would be more convenient for guests traveling by car. Overall, this is a Hotel you can choose with confidence for sightseeing or business in Kumamoto.

We arrived early and really enjoyed taking our time soaking in the group’s open-air baths—it was wonderful. The hotel’s indoor bath was also spacious and comfortable. Our room had a lovely atmosphere with a great view, and it felt very refreshing. One small downside was that the heat-insulating film on the glass seemed to have deteriorated, making it look slightly cloudy.

This is my second stay. The staff, the cleanliness throughout the property, the bath, and the Room were all very comfortable. I also love the atmosphere—it really feels like Nagata, or Osaka. The location near the station and the excellent access are perfect! I will definitely stay again!

We stayed for one night from July 27 with two families. From the gentleman on the parking staff at check-in, to the young man in charge of our Room, and even the shop staff, everyone provided warm, friendly service that made our stay truly comfortable. In particular, my son became very fond of the staff member in charge of our Room and still proudly displays the letter he received at check-out. Thank you so much for being so kind to him. The Room was spacious, the view from the window was wonderful, and every dish was delicious. The Onsen had excellent water quality, and my skin felt smooth after bathing. Guests of many different age groups were staying there, and after experiencing it ourselves, we completely understand why. It’s a wonderful Accommodation where anyone can relax and enjoy their time. We also appreciated the complimentary Onsen eggs and “a little beer” service, which helped our whole family have a great time. We would love to visit again.

I stay here about once a month. The staff and everyone I meet at the Hotel are very kind, and I always enjoy a comfortable stay in the Room.

This hotel has a hot spring and a great atmosphere, and it’s nice that it’s new. We chose the plan with dinner and breakfast included; dinner was reasonably priced, with a wide variety of drinks and thoughtfully prepared dishes. For breakfast, there are both Japanese-style and Western-style options that international travelers can enjoy. The value for money is excellent, and you can walk to the historic old town area.

The parking lot was spacious and free, and the room was clean. I can see why the breakfast gets such great reviews. Considering the price, I was very satisfied. We were allowed to take the welcome drink up to our room, and the coffee was delicious. Amenities were set in the room, and extra items were also available in front of the elevator. I would love to stay again if I have another opportunity.
