I stayed for three nights with my son during summer vacation to watch baseball at Belluna Dome for three days. The hotel is old, but the staff were courteous, the location is close to the station, and there’s a 24-hour supermarket right in front of the station—everything you need is nearby, so we had no problems at all. I’d like to stay here again if I have the chance.

It was very convenient, located just a short walk from the Shin-Osaka Station exit. Amenities are picked up at the front desk. Pajamas are not provided in the Room, so you will need to pick them up as well. The building faces the railway tracks, so you may occasionally hear train noise, but it wasn’t too bothersome. The Room has highly light-blocking blinds, so I was able to rest well until morning.

The front desk featuring robots and dinosaurs is quite unique and entertaining. Staff are also quick to assist via the phone next to the front desk. However, the lack of hot coffee in vending machines might be disappointing for Western guests accustomed to drinking coffee. It would be preferable to have coffee instead of tea in the Room as well.

About a 20-minute walk from Utsunomiya Station. There are no convenience stores nearby, so it’s best to buy what you need in advance. The complimentary late-night curry service (until 8:30 PM) was very helpful. The Hotel vending machines are very reasonably priced. There is a clean public bath that can fit about five people, but it is for men only. The Room TV even supports YouTube and smartphone mirroring. I was traveling alone, but the twin Room was spacious. Breakfast isn’t luxurious, but it offers a well-balanced selection—from Japanese side dishes to bread, coffee, and juice. A Hotel with excellent value for money.

I stayed here while accompanying a family member in the hospital. The location was convenient, and I really appreciated the light breakfast. They were also considerate enough to arrange Rooms next to my relatives’ separately made Reservations on the day. I was very satisfied with both the price and the stay.

The property was clean, and the service was excellent. The bath on the top floor had no roof, so it was cold even in Okinawa. The complimentary meal was fairly standard but tasty. Everything except the bath was wonderful.

This was my third stay here, and it’s always one of the Accommodations I consider when visiting Takayama. Some parts of the building do show their age, and compared with newer Kyoritsu Resort properties like “Nono,” it does feel a bit dated. The beds in the guest rooms are a mattress placed on Ryukyu tatami, so they’re low to the floor and feel more like sleeping on thick futons. I’ve seen this style at other Accommodations as well, but personally I prefer a standard bed. The large public bath on the top floor has great views and an open, airy feel. However, the outdoor bath area is somewhat small, so it can be hard to use comfortably when it’s crowded. On the other hand, the three private baths are a major highlight unique to this Accommodation. In particular, “Azumanishiki,” located furthest inside, is outstanding in both size and view—easily one of the most satisfying private baths I’ve used. It seems some of the hinoki wood has recently been replaced, and I also enjoyed its pleasant aroma. It does get busy due to its popularity, but it’s still well worth using. Their signature late-night soba is still available as expected from Kyoritsu properties, and breakfast is Dormy Inn quality. There are plenty of menu items featuring local ingredients as well—I look forward every time to dishes like tomato gyudon and hoba miso. Given Takayama’s popularity, there are many international guests staying here. Also, with only two elevators for the number of rooms, wait times can feel long depending on the time of day. While there isn’t much new in terms of Facility updates, that also makes the Accommodation Fee very reasonable. With such a strong draw in its private baths, it’s easy to see why this place remains so popular. Once again, all staff were kind and pleasant in their service, making my stay very comfortable. Despite some aging Facilities here and there, it more than makes up for them with its charm—and I’d gladly stay again next time I visit Takayama.

We stayed with 4 adults and 2 children. Using a coupon made it very affordable. The hostess (?) gave a rather reserved impression. The Accommodation felt a bit old, and the TV was small. I thought we might be able to enjoy some hot tea, but there was no tea provided. I figured that was understandable given the low price. Breakfast was very satisfying!

I made a Reservation simply to stay overnight. The Hotel staff were polite and helpful. I was happy to find welcome curry rice and drinks, and I also enjoyed the breakfast. The shower required adjusting the hot and cold water yourself to get the right temperature, so I was a bit surprised that this type still exists even today! I had a comfortable stay and thought it was a good Hotel.

The price is low, and it’s the same rate even on weekends and holidays. Breakfast is included at this price. I wouldn’t call it the best breakfast, but for what you pay, it’s more than acceptable with no complaints. Personally, there wasn’t an outlet near the pillow area, so it might have been difficult to lie in bed and use my phone while charging. The Room and shower room were thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. If the parking lot on the Hotel grounds is full, you’ll be directed to another parking lot about a 2–3 minute walk away. That could be inconvenient in the rain.

It’s a small Hotel, but it was very nice. The day before, after a long drive, my husband’s back pain got worse, and they prepared a wheelchair for him—it was a huge help. Thank you very much. The Onsen was very relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious. My husband also said he definitely wants to come again.

The Room is fully equipped, with a standard refrigerator, a microwave on top of it, and a washing machine near the entrance. Of course, the bath and sauna were excellent. Rather than staying at a Hotel, it felt like I was staying in an unused Room at someone I know’s home—it was very comfortable. I definitely want to come again.

Last year I stayed in the main building, but this year I tried the auberge. On the first day, after watching the sunrise at Inubosaki, I headed south along Sotobo through Katsuura and Kamogawa, visited Nojimazaki Lighthouse, stopped by Awa Shrine, and then returned to this Hotel. First, I relaxed in the scenic-view Onsen to ease my fatigue. Soaking in the bath with the vast Pacific Ocean right in front of me was a truly wonderful experience. Back in my Room, I enjoyed listening to music and reading, savoring a pace of time different from everyday life. One piece of good luck on this trip was having the teppanyaki dinner entirely to myself as a private booking. I enjoyed a delicious meal while chatting pleasantly with the chef and staff. The dishes were carefully selected with a focus on local ingredients, and they were also beautiful to look at. Another bit of good luck was being able to see the sunrise the next morning. The forecast had been cloudy with occasional rain, so I had given up on it—but when I woke up, it was clear. I hurried to the scenic-view Onsen to wait for sunrise and saw it right at the time indicated by the Hotel’s guidance. It made for an incredibly refreshing morning. I could also enjoy breakfast buffet-style in a private room at a relaxed pace—maybe I ate a little too much. On my way home, I headed north along Uchibo and ended up making a full loop around the Boso Peninsula. I would definitely like to visit again when I have another chance.

I used it to stay cool while waiting for a live show. Next time, I’d like to book an overnight stay.

Honestly, it isn’t brand-new, and the parking lot can get crowded on holidays, but I think it’s a highly satisfying Hotel for the price these days. The lounge has instant coffee, and you can choose amenities like shampoo and makeup remover in the lobby. They also provide cold hand towels, there is a free coin laundry, breakfast is tasty for a Business Hotel, and all the staff were kind. Also, about a 5-minute walk away there are a few izakaya where you can have dinner, which was really convenient. I asked the dining staff for some ice, and they were so cheerful and helpful—thank you very much!

The bathroom and other water facilities were very clean. It was appreciated that the bath could be reserved for private use by time slot. The coffee machine in the Room was also very helpful.

This was my third stay. As always, in the separate container units you can hardly hear noise from neighboring rooms—only the sound of doors opening and closing at the entrance (you can hear traffic and trains). On the other hand, it’s great that you can relax without worrying about the noise you make. I often use R9 Container Hotels because I can unwind alone at my own pace. The bathtub is a bit larger than in a typical Business Hotel, and the bed is very comfortable. It’s also helpful that they offer frozen light meals.

The building has a sense of history, but the complimentary massage chairs let us unwind and relax. There were also other complimentary services and a free breakfast, so we were able to spend our time comfortably.

I stayed with the No Meals Included plan. Since it was during summer vacation, I was happy to be able to choose a welcome drink in a plastic bottle. The parking lot is spacious, and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it’s very convenient. The Room was simple, and I had a comfortable stay. There is no large public bath for women and the amenities do not include makeup remover, but several types of sunscreen were provided, which felt like thoughtful seasonal consideration.

The sea right in front of us wasn’t too crowded, so we were able to relax and take our time. Breakfast was delicious as well—highly recommended for anyone looking for a laid-back stay.
