I stayed for two nights. Overall it was good, but I was disappointed that the in-room slippers were so thin they tore easily (though I was given a new pair). Also, I was on the 8th floor, and it was inconvenient to go down to the 4th floor first and then take a different elevator up to the 18th floor to use the bath. The view was great and overall it was good. Thank you.

At dinner, the proprietress came to speak with us, and when we mentioned our 30th wedding anniversary, she gave us a wonderful handwritten gift that truly moved us. We were so happy. We have it proudly displayed at home. The unexpected present became a very special memory.\nThe views from the Room and the dining area were exceptional as well.\nAt breakfast, we also had the chance to chat with a staff member from our hometown. We were touched by everyone’s kindness and thoughtfulness.\nIt was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much. We hope to visit again someday.

The Room was spacious and had a sofa, so we could relax comfortably, and the bath was wonderful—like a stone bath. If I may mention just one thing, since pets are allowed and there is a small garden, it would have been even better if it were fenced so that small dogs could run around. Of course, even without that it was more than good enough! We would love to stay again.

The location was great, and the bed was large and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of options and was very satisfying. I would like to stay here again.

Ever since our first stay two years ago, we’ve loved this place and have been coming back every year for a two-night Multiple Night Stay—three years in a row. It seems seasonal, but they had a festival-style stamp rally for kids, which was a great touch and kept our child happily entertained. It also happens to be our child’s birthday around this time, so celebrating here has become our family tradition. The Onsen temperature, the Room size, and overall layout all feel “just right.” There’s also a late-night tantanmen service we always look forward to—though this time we were too full after dinner to enjoy it, which was a shame! The building seems to have some history, but everything is spotless and well maintained, so it never feels old. Above all, it’s incredibly comfortable—a wonderful Accommodation where our whole family can truly relax. Whenever we go to Akita, this is the only place we choose.

Just as I stepped out of the entrance to go for a walk, it started raining and I wasn’t sure what to do, but the front desk staff immediately brought me an umbrella, which was a great help.

I made a Reservation because I was drawn to the title of this Accommodation, and it was absolutely the right choice! This is a simple, historic Accommodation, yet it feels spotless throughout. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles from the staff, and we were very satisfied with the quality of the Onsen water. The “Taste of Local Bounty” dining menu was especially memorable—above all, being able to bite into a whole river fish from head to tail was an experience you won’t find elsewhere.

Since we didn’t rent a car this time, we traveled by bus from Hakodate Station, but it was only a 3-minute walk from Tropical Botanical Garden-mae, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. A friend said the interior and the Room were far better than you’d ever imagine from the exterior. I believe I made a Reservation for the cheapest Room type, but to my surprise we were upgraded to what seemed like one of the best Rooms. It was a wonderful, spacious Room with a very comfortable sofa where we could truly relax. If I have the chance to visit again, I’d like to make a Reservation for the best Type A Room. I was looking forward to enjoying sparkling wine in the lounge, Hakodate milk soft-serve ice cream, and Misuzu Coffee—and they even had watermelon as well, which made me really happy. The soft-serve was unbelievably delicious. I don’t usually drink coffee, but Misuzu Coffee is so good that I decided to have it while in Hakodate. Being able to enjoy it as many times as you like until 10:00 p.m. is much appreciated—though my friend mentioned that in the morning there was only Misuzu Coffee. The bath is available even late at night, which is also very helpful. Even if you fall asleep after dinner and drinks, it’s great to be able to wake up and take a bath during the night. Dinner was an omakase sushi course that included fugu tatsuta-age; between the tuna selections and seasonal sushi, everything was satisfying and enjoyable. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options—I especially loved the soup curry. Overall, I think this is an excellent Accommodation with courteous front desk staff and a very positive impression. Just one thing: many Hotels these days provide deodorizing sprays, but I’m sensitive to fragrances—so I would prefer not having them in the Room or used during bed-making.

Conveniently located near Hakata Station, making it easy to find and comfortable to stay. Looking forward to staying again!

The freshly baked breakfast bread was incredibly delicious, and I had seconds many times. They kept baking more, so even when it ran out, I could quickly enjoy freshly baked bread again. I’m giving 4 stars because the Room was a bit small and there was only one hair dryer in the bathroom. Otherwise, I was satisfied. Thank you very much.

We stayed for one night to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. All the staff were always smiling, and their service was polite and attentive, so we had a very comfortable and enjoyable time. Upon arrival, we were shown to a private room next to the lobby, where we enjoyed some tea and sweets while choosing yukata. The lobby also had books and a souvenir shop. On the rooftop terrace there was a footbath, and we could truly relax while looking out over Lake Ashi and the surrounding mountains. We didn’t use them this time, but there was also a table tennis room (paid) and a kids’ room. The view from the open-air bath in our Room was amazing—I ended up soaking three times: on the first evening, at night, and again after breakfast on day two (haha). It seems they can also adjust the set temperature of the open-air bath upon request. In addition to the shower next to the open-air bath, there was also an indoor bathroom in the Room. I was happy that the hair dryer in the Room was ReFa. We had both dinner and breakfast during our stay. Both meals were served in the same private room we were shown to upon arrival. Dinner started at 18:00, and breakfast could be chosen between 8:30 or 9:00—great for someone like me who isn’t good at waking up early. Dinner included dishes such as salt-crusted grilled spiny lobster as well as lava-stone grilling of Kanagawa beef and Ashigara beef, which made it really fun. Both dinner and breakfast were truly excellent, and my girlfriend was very satisfied. The large public bath wasn’t very big, but it wasn’t crowded at all—we were able to bathe almost privately most of the time. The water was milky/opaque (nigoriyu), and my skin felt pleasantly soft afterward. I’ve been to Hakone several times, but it’s rare to find an Accommodation this good. We would definitely love to stay again. Thank you very much!

The Room and Hotel are very clean, more spacious than expected, and easy to use. Even for someone quite particular about cleanliness, there were no concerns at all! The unit bath is convenient, and the bedding is comfortable. The reception staff are friendly, and amenities like lotion, emulsion, cleansing products, toothbrushes, and face wash can be picked up at the front desk. However, as others have mentioned regarding pajamas that touch the skin—they are placed in bulk near the elevator on each floor for guests to pick up themselves. It would be appreciated by those who are particular if they were already placed in the room. I did not use the dining area so I cannot evaluate it. For solo female travelers or business trips: it’s conveniently located near a station with a convenience store on the first floor (accessible from within the Hotel), a family restaurant (Gusto/Shabu-yo) on the second floor, as well as nearby restaurants and even Don Quijote!

I stayed one night each in a single Room and a twin Room. The twin Room was smoking, but the smell didn’t bother me much, which I appreciated as a non-smoker. In older Hotels, the air conditioning can be connected and smoke odors sometimes drift in even in non-smoking Rooms, but that wasn’t an issue here. After work, I was able to relax in the large public bath and head home feeling refreshed, so I’d like to stay again if I have the chance. Also, when I stayed in the single Room, I didn’t receive a drink coin—are there any conditions for receiving it?

This was my third stay. I stayed in the same Room with a kitchen as last time. The Room had been renovated and was very clean. In the evening, we could see Mt. Fuji from the Room, which made my mother very happy. For dinner, instead of ordering the boat sashimi platter we had last time, we took out sushi and ate it in the Room. Dinner is served in your Room here, so you can relax without worrying about others. I wanted to take it easy in the morning, so I chose no breakfast. If you want a hearty breakfast, I recommend booking a plan with breakfast included.\nThe beach was quiet since it was before Obon. There were lifeguards on duty as well, so it felt safe. Unfortunately, perhaps because it was after 3:00 PM on the day we went, the beach huts were closed. It rained the next day, so we gave up on going to the beach—but students from some school were swimming even in the rain.\nI’d love to come back to Iwai for another beach trip next year too.

Despite the very low open price, the meals—such as the pilgrim menu—were generous in portion, and every dish was carefully prepared and wonderfully delicious. Both the Room and the entire property were thoroughly cleaned, so we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

My main purpose this time was to visit Arashiyama, so I stayed at this Hotel in Shijo-Omiya. The nearby bus stop is also conveniently located, with many bus routes to various areas of Kyoto. The Room had an unusual design—a Japanese-style Room with beds—but it was comfortable. If possible, I would have liked a floor chair. The large public bath was also nice, but the only drawback was that the shower pressure was so strong it hurt when sprayed on my face. Also, I heard the women’s public bath was extremely crowded on Saturday night, so it would be helpful if the TV in the Room could show how busy the public bath is, like some other hotels do.

It was wonderful. It’s close to Shin-Narashino Station, and Makuhari Messe is just two stops away. It also seemed like many guests were visiting TDR. Despite that, it was very affordable, and I was able to stay in a clean Room. After a standing concert, it was such a pleasure to soak in the warm large public bath. Since space is limited it does get crowded, but even back in the Room there wasn’t a weak hair dryer—there was the same type as in the large public bath. Even though I washed my hair quickly to free up the washing area sooner, it dried smooth and silky right away. The front desk staff were kind, and although I’m sure it was simply because availability allowed, I really appreciated being assigned a Room on the same floor as the large public bath—such thoughtful attention to detail. Having separate floors for men’s and women’s baths also made me feel safe. This is a Hotel I would definitely stay at again if I visit Makuhari Messe.

I stayed here because it had been renovated. Although it was a single Room, it was spacious, clean, and well maintained, so I had a very comfortable stay. I used the large public bath twice—once at night and once in the morning—and was satisfied with that as well. This is a Hotel I can recommend.

We enjoyed the clean Room, the amazing view, and the meals. We weren’t sure if a Ryokan with an Onsen would be okay with preschool-aged children, but the Room was spacious and we were able to relax at our own pace. We were very satisfied with the food as well—fresh sashimi and crab were excellent! The Onsen water quality is great, but there is no open-air bath in the men’s bath and no sauna in the women’s bath, so we thought it would have been nice if they could alternate by time slot or day so guests could enjoy both. We usually don’t stay at the same Accommodation twice because we like trying different places, but this was a warm, homey Accommodation that made us want to come back. Highly recommended for families with children.

I always stay at Kiraku when I’m on a business trip to Yamaguchi. The experienced woman at the front desk always greets guests with a warm smile and friendly service, and she even said, “It’s been a while,” which made my stay even more comfortable. I look forward to staying again.
