The amenities were excellent (a choice of teas, bath salts, sunscreen, etc.), and the service was very good. Cleaning was perfect except for a bag of trash under the bed and a tea-like smell coming from the kettle. There were many thoughtful touches, such as an emergency smoke hood bag, a fire blanket (maybe for a mobile battery fire?), a microwave, rental manual washing machine, and a card used in place of a Room key. For a Multiple Night Stay, fresh towels are hung on the Room door, which is convenient. They were courteous both when storing luggage and at check-in. Check-out can be done on the in-Room TV, but I wasn’t sure whether the Room key card should be left in the Room or returned to the box by the entrance.

This was our first time booking, and we were extremely satisfied—the price was very reasonable, and the food was delicious. We are truly grateful to have been able to stay at such an affordable rate. There were three of us, and everyone was very happy; they even thanked me for choosing this place.

After a tiring day of sightseeing, I contacted the Shuttle Service and they came right away, which was a huge help. The entire property was spotless, and the staff were very courteous. The Room had a kinsen hot spring bath with luxurious free-flowing water available 24 hours a day—I was truly impressed. I soaked many times and felt great every time. The kaiseki dinner, late-night tantanmen, and breakfast buffet were all delicious and left me completely satisfied. The staff member in charge of the tantanmen service was especially polite and provided outstanding hospitality. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including many local specialties, which I really appreciated—I enjoyed it so much that I went back for seconds. The drink service in the lobby and in the Room was also very helpful. I was happy to find a wide selection of skincare amenities in the Room as well. Throughout my stay, there wasn’t a single unpleasant moment—I felt comfortable until the very end. At this price, it’s truly appreciated. I will definitely stay again next time. Thank you for such an enjoyable time.

Pros Great location and easy to find; a convenience store on the ground floor; late check-in available; smooth check-in/out; new Facility; reasonably clean; a large public bath is available, with good amenities. Cons It’s fair for the price, so not really a complaint, but it felt a bit small for two people. Depending on the person, there was a slight musty smell around the bathroom area (not severe). I also would have been happier if extra towels could be borrowed.

The modern Japanese-Western style room was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail for small children, such as pushing the beds together and limiting the height of the cushions. The meals were excellent, and the dessert pudding was especially delicious—I wanted to buy some to take home as a souvenir. Kinosaki in the rain also had a charming atmosphere, and we were very satisfied.

I have wonderful memories of the Accommodation’s atmosphere and hospitality from my first stay, and this time I returned for the first time in seven years. I heard that during the COVID period you improved the parking area and the path to the Accommodation, and it was even easier to access than before. The atmosphere is still just as lovely, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I especially recommend the spiny lobster sashimi and the simmered golden eye snapper. This time, I also asked in advance for a birthday surprise for my friend, and you kindly accommodated my request. My friend was truly delighted, and I’m so glad I asked. Thank you very much for your pleasant hospitality and service. Above all, one of Hana Noren’s greatest charms is Toi Onsen, which helped melt away my everyday fatigue. At night I enjoyed the bath in my Room, and in the morning I woke up early to use the private bath. I truly love this time spent forgetting daily noise—the sound of flowing Onsen water and birdsong brought exceptional comfort. Thank you again for another wonderful stay. I was completely satisfied with everything. Next time, I hope to return again sooner. Thank you very much!

The in-room Facilities are excellent. It’s quiet, so you can sleep peacefully and relax. The sofa bed is also much more comfortable than those at other Hotels.

Enjoyed a stylish and affordable stay! It felt more like being in a chic boutique than a Hotel! The free alcohol drink time from 18:00 featured a DJ, creating a club-like atmosphere! The front desk staff were multinational, very accommodating, and left a great impression. I plan to stay here every time I book a Hotel in Osaka city!

I stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and the Room was simply outstanding. The spaciousness, cleanliness, design, and the in-room Onsen were all excellent. Since we didn’t order meals this time, we had limited interaction with the staff, but we didn’t experience any inconvenience. I’d love to visit again.

The hospitality, the stylish dinner, and the ochazuke breakfast were all wonderful—I’m glad I was able to stay here. However, I have some concerns about my legs, and I didn’t realize from the Accommodation photos that it is a two-story building; I would have been happier if the toilet were on the first floor. What is the entryway area inside the Room (the earthen-floor space) intended to be used for?

After a round of golf, I drove about 100 km on the expressway with my group and arrived at the Ryokan. Contrary to the first impression from the exterior, I was surprised by the charming atmosphere the moment I stepped inside. The Room was clean and well maintained, and the Onsen had excellent water quality that left me feeling refreshed. Dinner offered an appropriate number of dishes with well-balanced seasoning, and I was amazed by the boat platter of sashimi. Breakfast was also very delicious, and we left the Ryokan with a great impression—everyone in my group was pleased.

On my previous trip I stayed here with friends, but this time I had the pleasure of staying with my elderly mother to celebrate her 88th birthday. Because she has difficulty walking, I was a little worried about accessibility, but you kindly assisted us in every situation and we were able to stay comfortably. Although it rained unfortunately, we were able to relax and talk in our Room, and also enjoy a pottery painting experience, making it a truly happy time. The meals were also very delicious. Not only the Akaushi beef and fish, but the Yamato vegetables were wonderful as well. We could also feel the scenery of Nara through the tableware, and the seasonal hydrangeas painted on it delighted us visually too. On our way to the dining area, we found a large snail. Seeing my mother smile happily like a child left a strong impression on me, and it made me realize again that choosing Ubusuna no Sato for this trip was the right decision. Thank you very much for giving us such a happy time. I’m already looking forward to receiving the plate we painted.

Simple, but the room was clean and comfortable. Since there are no food options available, it’s best to bring your own food and drinks in advance. It’s a hotel I’d like to stay at again.

From check-in, everything was easy to find and I was able to spend my time comfortably. The bath was available until 2:00 a.m. and again from 5:00 a.m., so I could use it whenever I wanted, and I really appreciated the guest-first approach rather than rules set for the Accommodation’s convenience. The Facility was also clean—nothing to complain about.

This was our first trip to Mikuni, and also our first time staying overnight there. Our child couldn’t wait to get into the hot springs, so we checked in almost as soon as check-in opened. We headed straight to the baths with our child. Because the bath can be reserved for private use by a family, we could relax without worrying about other guests and truly enjoy it. Both the indoor bath and the open-air bath were a comfortable size, with just the right water temperature. After bathing, dinner began. We had Wakasa beef steak and a whole grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) seasoned with salt. The vinegared dishes and chawanmushi were also delicious. My partner was especially happy with the perfectly balanced salt seasoning on the nodoguro! We were also delighted by the owner’s warm hospitality. Our child was thrilled too—hamburg steak, fried shrimp, and more made for a very happy dinner! The owner told us about local fish and Mikuni specialties such as momi-wakame seaweed, which made for a truly meaningful time. Then all three of us enjoyed another private bath together—my wife and child were both very satisfied! We all went to bed at 9 p.m., then headed back to the baths first thing in the morning. After that came breakfast—the moment we’d been waiting for. Drinks were plentiful too, including green smoothies and orange juice! For breakfast, we adults had mackerel, while our child had salmon; both were exceptionally tasty. The owner also recommended visiting Mikuni’s roadside station (Michi-no-Eki) to look for souvenirs, which helped make this one-night trip feel wonderfully complete. It’s a small inn, but thanks to their kindness toward children—and an excellent balance of meals, baths, and service—we had an outstanding stay. There seems to be a resort hotel near Tojinbo as well, but we’re glad we chose Kaze no Mori instead. Thank you very much.

The in-room hot spring bath is very spacious. The cuisine is carefully prepared course by course, like French dining, and absolutely delicious. The staff are incredibly kind. I can’t find a single fault. The hot spring is wonderfully relaxing as well. I’ve stayed at many hot spring destinations, but I was truly happy to stay at a ryokan like this. Thank you very much—I would love to visit again.

We stayed here after viewing the cherry blossoms in Miharu. It’s a small, standalone Accommodation, but the hospitality was wonderful! The bath is private for each Room, spacious, and available 24 hours. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches that let you soak in the Onsen while using a face mask. As expected from an auberge, every dish was refined and delicious. We were also very satisfied with the pickles at breakfast. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again!

While looking for an Accommodation where we could stay with our dog, we discovered “Wa no Ie” and stayed there as a family. It’s surprisingly easy to find pet-friendly Hotels, but since we were going to Karuizawa, we wanted a place that truly felt luxurious and where we could enjoy time with our pet both indoors and outdoors. That’s when we found Wa no Ie—an outstanding piece of architecture surrounded by nature—and after seeing the photos, we decided almost immediately. When we arrived, the harmony between the building and the natural surroundings was even more beautiful than in the pictures. The greenery visible through the windows and the way light streamed in made it an incredibly comfortable space. Because we were traveling with a child and a dog, our only concern was the number of stairs. However, before our stay they had already set up baby gates for us, so both our child and dog could relax safely without any worry of falling. We really appreciated this thoughtful attention to detail. The interior was spotless, and the area around it was truly quiet. Away from the bustle of town, it felt like we were the only ones in the forest—something I personally loved. In the morning, I woke up naturally with sunlight and found myself thinking, “How long has it been since I last woke up like this?” My wife and child baked sweets and played games while our dog lounged with us—it was a place where you end up wanting to enjoy simply spending time there rather than going out sightseeing. If possible, I honestly wished we could have stayed for several more days—living there while working remotely. A private rental that offers nature, luxury, and an environment where you can stay comfortably with your pet is hard to find. We would absolutely love to stay here again whenever we visit Karuizawa. Excellent service, excellent meals, and excellent baths & sauna. This was our first trip with our dog, and we made wonderful memories. We’d like to come again in summer. It was an outstanding Accommodation.
