I’ve stayed at various Vacation Villages, but Retreat Azumino Hotel was completely different from any of them! This Hotel is too good to enjoy in just one night. It made me want a Multiple Night Stay. It’s quiet, spotless, and I have nothing to complain about.

The property itself is a bit old and worn, but it was very clean and well maintained, and we were very satisfied. All of the staff were kind. At mealtimes, the staff brought each dish at just the right time and also shared lots of local information, which was wonderful. The staff at the hot spring reception were also extremely helpful—when I didn’t have a coin for the 100-yen locker in the changing room, they kindly lent me one, which I really appreciated. This time we stayed with our dog as well, and thanks to everyone’s kindness we were able to relax and enjoy our time without feeling self-conscious anywhere in the facility. The indoor dog run is a little small, so it may not be suitable for large dogs, but small and medium-sized dogs can enjoy it 충분ly—our dog looked so happy running around. If we have a chance to visit Shizuoka again, we would love to stay here again.

As we did last year, my husband and I stayed with you again this year. The cleanliness of the facilities, the thoughtful care from the staff, and above all, the meals were outstanding. There was a great variety, and the quality and taste were excellent—I only wish I were younger so I could eat more. However, there is one disappointing point. We would love to visit next time as a family of three with our daughter, but when we looked into it, we couldn’t find an affordable room for three guests. As parents, we’d really like to let our daughter enjoy that delicious food and wonderful experience too—please consider offering reasonably priced options for three people.

This Hotel is truly convenient, as it is close to Nagoya Station. The Room was clean and well equipped with everything I needed, the bed was large, and I really enjoyed the large-screen smart TV—overall I was very satisfied. The breakfast selection isn’t as extensive as at larger Hotels, but I could also try Nagoya specialties and left feeling full. If I may make one request, there is nothing to hold onto in the bathroom such as grab bars, so adding something would make it easier to stand up. I would definitely like to stay here again whenever I have business in Nagoya.

Whenever I travel to Sapporo, I always stay at this hotel. This time as well, I was able to fully enjoy a relaxing spa, a delicious breakfast, and the pleasant hospitality of all the staff. They upgraded my room, so I could unwind and enjoy an extraordinary getaway. I will definitely visit again. I’m looking forward to planning my next trip.

I was very satisfied with the newly renovated room. The fresh scent of new tatami was especially pleasant. The meal also came with a careful explanation and was very satisfying—especially the sukiyaki beef, which was more generous than I expected. The free drinks were a pleasant surprise as well. Breakfast was delicious, too. Of course the hot springs were great, and the large public bath was spacious and relaxing—completely satisfying. I enjoyed three baths in total: before dinner, after dinner, and in the morning—it couldn’t have been better. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the chance.

Congratulations on your 102nd anniversary. This time, I stayed with you to enjoy a relaxing girls’ trip with my mother and to visit my aunt the next day. I truly love your baths. The space isn’t large, but the tub is just the right depth. I can’t quite explain why, but it feels wonderful. That depth also made it easier for my mother, who has trouble with her legs, to get in. (Hotel bathtubs are often shallow; she can get in, but standing up to get out is difficult and often a struggle.) In addition, even when sitting on a shower chair, she can still reach the amenities in your bath area. There is also enough space beside the tub to place toiletries, which was very helpful. If I may ask for one thing, having grab bars by the bathtub would be perfect—but overall I feel your bath is simple yet thoughtfully designed. Once again, we had a wonderful time chatting late into the night while enjoying the beautiful view, sleeping soundly, and making great memories. Thank you very much. P.S. The gift from the bees gathered on your rooftop (honey) was wonderfully sweet and delicious. Thank you very much.

I was truly overwhelmed by the many wonderful paintings displayed throughout the property. The collection of rare vintage wines in the cellar—such as aged Romanée-Conti and Château Margaux—was also very impressive. After dinner, I took a walk through the garden and returned to my Room, only to realize my smartphone was missing, so I hurriedly consulted the front desk. Even though it was late at night, the staff worked hard to search for it, including in the restaurant that had already closed and deep into the garden. In the end, they also advised me to use my Apple Watch’s location feature, and we were able to safely find it where it had fallen into a gap between chairs in the entrance area. I sincerely appreciate all of your staff for their quick thinking and kind, warm support. It was a truly wonderful stay.

This was our second repeat stay. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. [Room] The staff member in charge of our room was the same person who looked after us so well last time, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful, attentive hospitality. Because I have trouble with my legs and found the floor chair in the room inconvenient, I asked whether a regular chair could be provided next time, and they listened carefully and sincerely to my request. [Meals] Once again, the explanations of each dish were very easy to understand. As each course arrived, everything was a delight for both the eyes and the palate—enjoyable and impressive throughout. Both breakfast and dinner conveyed how wholeheartedly the chefs strive to create their best dishes in harmony with the seasons. With details such as information about ingredients’ origins and small hands-on touches like grilling or grating at the table, every meal had variety and a wonderful sense of rhythm that never became monotonous. [A moment in the lobby] While waiting for our meal, we enjoyed tea in the lobby and had a pleasant conversation with a staff member from France who spoke fluent Japanese. We could also feel how brightly motivated—and seriously dedicated—the younger staff members were as they worked. There were many things we learned from everyone on staff. [Hot spring] We were extremely satisfied with both the view and tranquility of the private bath in our room. Soaking at leisure while watching scenery change over time truly feels luxurious. While bathing, I was able to rediscover not only nature’s beauty but also how precious time is—and even learn something new about myself. [Byakudan] Byakudan is a place where its people, cuisine, hot springs, and atmosphere gently welcome every guest. Next time, we hope to visit again in spring. I’d also like to try an esthetic treatment for the first time—so until then, I’ll do my best at work!

From the moment you meet the shuttle bus driver, whose warm and pleasant service sets the tone, your enjoyable trip begins. This was our second stay, and just like last time, we truly appreciated the heartfelt hospitality. Last time we arrived late and missed out on the pancakes, but this time we were able to enjoy them fully and were very satisfied. We choose this property for its rare teppanyaki dinner option, and every time we are delighted with the meal. This visit also made for a wonderful birthday celebration. We hope you will continue to provide the same thoughtful and creative hospitality in the future.

We stayed in a Japanese-Western style room. Hotels that offer this type of room are rare, and it was especially helpful for us traveling with children that it’s not far from Shin-Osaka. They also lent us a baby bottle sterilizing set and a diaper pail, which was a huge help. What we also really appreciated was having a microwave and washing machine in the room. The microwave was perfect for warming baby food, and we were able to wash clothes that got dirty (and having detergent provided was an amazing bonus!). On top of that, checkout is at 11:00, which is very convenient when traveling with kids. We could stay until the last minute, making it much easier to plan the rest of our day. Overall, all of the staff were incredibly attentive (including at breakfast and at reception), so we felt comfortable throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel for families with small children. We would love to stay here again when visiting Shin-Osaka.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The entire Hotel was unified in FAUCHON’s signature pink color scheme, beautifully balancing charm with refined luxury. From the moment I stepped into the Hotel, I was surrounded by an exotic atmosphere, as if visiting a luxury Hotel in Paris, and I was able to enjoy a truly special time. At the top-floor restaurant, I also noticed many guests visiting from France, and it was impressive to feel such an international ambiance while staying in Kyoto. Thanks to the beautiful interior, sophisticated space design, and the warm hospitality of all the staff, this stay was once again comfortable and elegant. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

Even before our stay, you emailed to let us know that the Room we had reserved would not have the view we requested, which left a very positive impression on us. After reading these Reviews, I was a little worried about how long check-in might take and about the Room’s smell, but there were no issues at all. That said, I felt the check-in process could be made a bit quicker. We were completely satisfied with everything—the view from the Room, the atmosphere, and how easy it was to use the bathroom area. Above all, every staff member was full of hospitality and truly wonderful. It made us feel reassured and happy. We also liked the Club Lounge’s pleasantly casual atmosphere—it wasn’t stiff or formal at all. We enjoyed drinks such as vodka freely. When we visit Osaka again, I’d like to make a Reservation for a Room with a north-facing view and stay here again.

As I prefer gluten-free options, I usually stay at Japanese-style Ryokan with mainly Japanese cuisine. This Hotel also offered gluten-free meals, and the Room was clean and functional. The staff provided excellent service. The view from the Room was outstanding. I’ve already made my next Reservation.

The Onsen water was excellent, and the meals were more than satisfying. Although this is a long-established Ryokan, it doesn’t feel overly formal, and the check-in guidance was efficient and pleasant. With a good balance between service, Facility quality, and price, I think this Accommodation can satisfy most types of guests. There are three main bathing areas, each offering different spring qualities with free-flowing hot spring water. I especially liked the bath called “Saru-no-Yu.” It’s a large Ryokan, but the Onsen is so good that even hot-spring enthusiasts should be satisfied. The dining area is also very spacious; we were told all 96 rooms were fully booked on our stay, but at the times we went for dinner and breakfast it felt relaxed, with only about half of the tables in use. There is also a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, so guests who enjoy alcohol should have plenty to choose from.

The eel rice is made to order, and it was even more delicious than expected—I was very satisfied. Even though I was full, I tried the pho as well, and it was also authentic and very tasty. When I visit Nagoya, I’d like to make this my regular Accommodation!

I have used Kansai International Airport many times, but this was my first stay at this hotel. I booked an Economy Single, but they kindly prepared a twin room for me, and I was able to relax comfortably in a spacious, clean room. My friend stayed in the North Wing and I stayed in the South Wing, so our rooms were far apart, but we had no inconvenience and were able to enjoy breakfast at a leisurely pace. Thank you very much.

Everything—from the meals and the Room to the amenities and hospitality—was outstanding, and we were completely satisfied with our stay! The open-air Onsen bath in the Room was incredibly convenient, as we could soak anytime we liked, and it felt wonderfully luxurious. Also, because this Accommodation has only 10 Rooms, we rarely crossed paths with other guests at “Owl no Yu,” so we could relax and enjoy the Onsen as if it were private. The kaiseki dinner was exquisite across the board. In particular, the miso-glazed eggplant (dengaku) and steamed eel rice left a lasting impression—they were truly delicious. You could really tell each dish was prepared with great care, and we enjoyed every bite to the very end. Breakfast was also excellent. It was my first time trying Nanban natto, and I liked it so much I wished I could take some home. The rolled omelet was fluffy and delicious as well. From the cuisine and Onsen to the Room—and above all, the heartfelt service from all of the staff—this was a wonderful Accommodation that satisfied us in every way. If you’d like to unwind in an Onsen while enjoying a drink and spend a relaxing holiday forgetting everyday fatigue, this is exactly the right place. We would love to visit again!

Not only the front desk staff member who assisted with check-in, but also nearby staff greeted us with smiles, which was wonderful. We added breakfast, and the Japanese set meal was delicious and very filling, but we finished it all. I had a brief chat with a female staff member at the restaurant, and she was very pleasant, making it an enjoyable time. The lounge was also a lovely space where we could spend meaningful time. Thank you as well for changing our room. I would love to stay again if I have the opportunity.

My spouse and I stayed here as a couple. The jacuzzi on the balcony was wonderful. It felt like an open-air bath, and we could see the ocean—an amazing view. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights: sunbathing on the beach, then back to the jacuzzi, and meals of Chinese cuisine made with local ingredients. We had an incredible three days.
