The property, amenities, and hospitality were all excellent, and we happened to be able to watch fireflies as well, making our stay extremely satisfying.

Conveniently located near Saito-Miyakonojo Station and Hiroguchi Bus Stop, making it easy to find. The building is new, and the rooms and facilities are very clean. The "Tabibito no Yu" on the first floor is a natural Onsen, very clean with a large bath where you can relax and unwind. Breakfast offers both Japanese and Western options with a good variety and delicious taste. Within a 5-minute walk, there are many izakayas (Japanese pubs) and yakiniku restaurants, so there's no need to worry about dinner. I visited an izakaya where I enjoyed Miyazaki beef, pork, and chicken at an incredible value not seen in Tokyo. If I have another chance to visit Miyakonojo, I would love to stay here again!

This was my first time staying here. Having an Onsen allowed me to relax deeply. I was happy that I could use the bath all the way until morning. Since it was raining, I had dinner without going outside. The breakfast starting at 6:30 a.m. was also very helpful because I had an early departure. The staff and dining hall team were very kind, and it made my stay pleasant. Thank you very much.

They provided clear, courteous explanations via LINE even before our stay, which made everything easy to understand. During the stay, they also sent updates via LINE, so we had nothing to worry about. When we entered the Room, it was clean and smelled wonderful. The tableware and cooking utensils were well stocked, so we had no inconvenience. There were only a few amenities, but since preferences vary, it didn’t bother us. There is no TV, but we watched movies on the projector—it felt luxurious on a big screen. We stayed mainly for the sauna, and it was piping hot—very satisfying. It would have been even better with a cold plunge bath and relaxation chairs. You can see the Mogami River from the Room and the bath—it’s very soothing. It was an excellent sauna trip overall.

I visited with high expectations after reading the Reviews, and it was even more delicious than I expected! The building felt a bit old, but the Room was clean and nice. In particular, I loved being able to try small portions of many different dishes; everything was carefully prepared and delicious. The staff provided subtle, polished service, and their attentive yet unobtrusive approach made it very comfortable. A typhoon came through so I couldn’t go for a walk on the first day, but on the following days I went out for walks and enjoyed the scenery. The Room was spacious, and the sofa was very comfortable. It was also great to be able to relax in the large public bath late at night. Thank you very much.

Even after setting the navigation system, the destination disappeared along the way. Feeling a bit uneasy, we followed the signboards and drove deeper into the mountains on narrow roads—then suddenly, there was the Accommodation entrance. The warm light that appeared in that moment was a real relief. The staff’s welcome and service were also very courteous. We headed straight to the private indoor bath in our Room. Just as I was about to soak in the retro-style tub that felt like an old hot-spring cure retreat, a large hornet—stuck and unable to get out through the window—greeted us first. We somehow dealt with it using the free-flowing natural hot spring water (quite hot). Once adjusted to just the right temperature, it felt amazing on the skin and was incredibly relaxing. When my wife took her turn, this time a rhinoceros beetle stopped by to say hello. Just as explained in advance by the Accommodation, we had a rare experience surrounded by rich nature. From the scenic open-air bath, we enjoyed views of mountains stretching out as if they were ours alone. The meals were also carefully prepared. We were able to spend a truly unhurried time here. We stayed as a three-generation family of six. Since it was the Obon holiday period, we expected crowds everywhere, but unlike a Hotel, it was much quieter than we imagined and we were able to relax and enjoy a truly wonderful time. The interior has high ceilings and feels very open, and it was spacious enough for six adults to stay comfortably. Because of the typhoon, it got so chilly at night that we turned on the heater, but the air conditioning worked well and kept us comfortable. The Onsen was also delightful, and the beautiful greenery visible from the window was very soothing. This time we ate out for dinner, but next time we’d like to use the hot plate and enjoy cooking together indoors. (One of us doesn’t like insects, so we’re glad we didn’t do a terrace BBQ. There were no bugs inside.) We also really appreciated having a washing machine (with dryer function) and detergent provided—it was extremely helpful when we suddenly needed to do laundry. Our parents were very happy as well and are already saying they want to come again, so we would love to visit again. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!!

We stayed at Calm. From the moment we arrived, the kids let out a huge cheer when they saw the pool. Even between sightseeing and tours, as soon as we came back they jumped straight into the pool and had a blast. Even on departure day, they were able to play in the pool right up until the last minute, so we were glad we could enjoy it to the very end. The sauna is set at a lower temperature, so it’s more for gently warming up. Because the pool is quite deep, our kids (around 120 cm tall) couldn’t touch the bottom, which made it thrilling and fun for them (though parents can’t take their eyes off them). It was also very helpful that you lent us swim rings. On top of that, you gave them a turtle plush toy as a gift—they were absolutely delighted. Thank you very much. The location was excellent as well—easy access to nearby attractions such as Motobu Genki Village, the port used as a meeting point for snorkeling tours, and Fukugi Tree Road. On departure day we woke up early and took a walk along Fukugi Tree Road while there were still hardly any people around. We continued on foot to Bise Beach—it was truly beautiful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. An early-morning walk along Fukugi Tree Road is highly recommended. All of the staff were very pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay throughout. If I had to mention one thing that stood out, it would be the bathroom layout. In our Room this time, the bathroom was on the second floor, so after swimming we had to go upstairs each time; going back and forth was slightly inconvenient for adults. However, it seems other villa types have both bathroom and toilet on the first floor, so next time we’d love to stay in one of those. We stayed for two nights this time; since you can enjoy both the pool and local sightseeing at a relaxed pace here, I recommend a Multiple Night Stay. Breakfast was delivered at 8:00 and was delicious. We had been told that spicy sauce for taco rice would be served separately; however, it came already poured over it this time so our child couldn’t eat it. On our first night we also ordered shabu-shabu catering—it was excellent—and even with two kids plus two adults (four of us), three servings were more than enough to leave us full. You also lent us an astronomical telescope; unfortunately we couldn’t figure out how to use it well this time. Next visit we'd love to look at stars while getting some guidance from you. Both kids and adults had an amazing two days. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a family of three. The Onsen was wonderful—smooth and silky, a truly great Onsen. The meals were also excellent. We chose the course with sukiyaki. Everything—sukiyaki, sashimi, tempura, miso-grilled chicken, and more—was carefully prepared and delicious. Breakfast was served in a different dining area filled with morning sunlight, and it was just as tasty. The building was very clean, the Room was spacious and spotless, hot water and cold water were provided, and the futon was very comfortable. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and attentive, so we had a great time. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again.

The staff came out to our car with an umbrella to greet us when we checked in in the rain. One of the female staff members was especially pleasant and welcoming. All of the other staff were also very friendly, and we were able to enjoy a comfortable stay.

Perfect for a family of four! The views are spectacular—no doubt about it! The owner is a true gentleman—no doubt about it! As others have mentioned, the Room has a stylish scent (maybe from an air freshener?), and some guests may feel differently about it. Sing karaoke, dance, enjoy the Onsen, have a BBQ, take in the night view and the morning view—and check-out is at 13:00. We had a wonderful time!

Thank you for taking care of us the other day. I hope this will be helpful to others, so I’ll share my comments by category below. Guestroom & Amenities: We were accommodated in the large room on the 1st floor. Incense was gently burning, which made it very pleasant. The restroom was also spacious, so even elderly guests can feel at ease. The water provided in the in-room refrigerator was truly delicious. Hospitality & Service: This was exceptionally good. The proprietress was very kind, and my two elderly parents seemed genuinely happy. Everyone else as well treated us not by following a script, but with their own sincere words and attitude. I’ve stayed at quite a few places over the years, but this is not something easily done. In the end, I believe this is how true care is conveyed. Hot Springs: We gave the private open-air bath to an elderly couple, and I used the large public bath on the 2nd floor. The quality of the water was excellent—so much so that I almost regretted rinsing off afterward. I took a look at the open-air bath too; it was beautifully decorated with flowers. That said, they mentioned that the water temperature felt a bit low—but that’s simply personal preference. Facilities & Equipment: Since there are only stairs, going up to higher floors may be difficult for elderly guests. We stayed on the 1st floor, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Seasonal flowers were displayed at corners along the hallway, creating a lovely atmosphere. I also wished I could have spent more time looking at the Chichibu Meisen display corner. Meals: No complaints about either taste or portion size. The finishing udon noodles were light and refreshing—excellent. Also, the multigrain rice was wonderfully soft; it tasted completely different from what we cook at home. Overall Satisfaction: There is a star rating system; on a 5-point scale, every category is 5 out of 5. If it were out of 10 then it would be 10/10—and if out of 100 then it would be 100/100. We had no complaints at all—only thoroughly satisfying time throughout our stay. With my elderly parents’ stamina and traveling such a long distance to stay overnight, this will probably be our last trip together. It may sound like closing remarks, but I’m truly glad we chose your inn. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Lastly, to our dinner attendant (I apologize for not asking your name), please take good care of your knee. We look forward to visiting again someday.

I stayed at Ne no Hana at Otoiroka no Toki once a long time ago, and because all Rooms are separate villas with spacious, relaxing interiors, I chose to stay again after a round of golf. I was very satisfied with the thoughtful service from the staff. The meals were also excellent, and it was great that additional dishes could be ordered separately. Above all, the head chef personally came to greet us and brought homemade pickles—I enjoyed them so much that I asked for seconds three times. The way the natural flavors of the ingredients were highlighted while still being refined deserves high praise. This Accommodation is highly recommended for anyone who wants to spend quiet, private time. At check-out we were seen off, and it was my first time ever to be personally seen off by the head chef as well. His smile was wonderful and made me want to come back again without hesitation. Since I’m a big foodie, I tend to rate an Accommodation based on its meals; from the very first dish I felt confident it would be great—and in fact I returned to my Room completely full and satisfied. I hope to stop by again around early autumn. Thank you very much for everything.

This was our second stay. Our previous visit left a strong impression, and we were looking forward to coming back. The owners’ warm hospitality was just as wonderful this time, and we had a very comfortable stay. The Accommodation was kept spotless throughout, making it a relaxing place to be. The meals were excellent, and we especially enjoyed trying ingredients we rarely get to taste, such as wolf eel. This trip was also for a special anniversary, and thanks to your thoughtful kindness, it became a truly memorable stay. Thank you very much. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to see the starry sky like last time, but every sightseeing spot you recommended was fantastic, and we were able to fully experience the charm of Eastern Hokkaido. When we visit Eastern Hokkaido again, we would love to stay here again.

Everything was well provided, which was very helpful. The room was clean, the bathroom was easy to use, and it was comfortable. There was also a coin laundry and an ice machine with disposable paper cups. A phone charger was available as well. It was very convenient. The amenities such as the bed and TV were also comfortable. Several Hotel staff members were kind and helpful, and I would like to stay again.

Despite the very convenient location, it was quiet and peaceful once inside the hotel. At first I wasn’t sure where the parking lot was, but it was actually in a very easy-to-find spot. It was perfect for a woman traveling alone. Being able to enjoy delicious meals without going out was wonderful. Thank you very much.

Now that our family schedules finally lined up, we stayed at Yunishikawa Honkan again. The open-air bath is the perfect temperature for us, and this wonderful natural hot spring keeps our bodies warm until the next morning when we soak slowly and relax. We also always look forward to the Japanese meals, which are consistently delicious. The many dishes and the local sake tasting are excellent as well. The Onsen egg served with breakfast is outstanding, and this time too we ordered two packs to take home as a souvenir. For us as a parent and child who enjoy mountain stream fishing, this Accommodation is an important place to unwind, so even when it’s not for fishing we’d like to make time to visit again and enjoy the wonderful Onsen. This time we stayed in the Room at the very end of the 5th floor, and it was very comfortable with a toilet and air conditioning. We also enjoy hearing the owner’s stories every time—about hunting bears long ago, catching giant char, and gathering large maitake mushrooms. We are truly grateful to the proprietress emeritus, the proprietress, and all staff for their hospitality. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you in advance when we do.

I stayed on the No Meals Included Plan. I really liked the Room and was able to spend a fulfilling time. The staff were very kind, and I had a very pleasant stay. It rained this time, so if I have the chance next time, I’d like to relax on the rooftop.

This is a wonderful Accommodation. We truly felt the kindness in your hospitality. The meals were lavish and absolutely delicious. The quality, portion size, and flavor were so exceptional that we almost felt guilty enjoying them at this price. Breakfast was also very satisfying, and the fluffy rolled omelet was truly impressive. When we mentioned that we would be staying to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday, you served sekihan (red bean rice), which deeply moved her. This time, since the bath was under renovation, we went to a nearby Facility to bathe; once the bath is completed, I’m sure this will become an even more outstanding Accommodation. If we have the chance, we would definitely love to stay again. To everyone at Yohkosou, I know you are very busy—please take good care of yourselves. The staff were kind and attentive. The Room was spacious and comfortable. I wished the bath could have been available one hour earlier in the morning, but I was able to use it at night at a relaxed pace, and I slept very well. Thank you.
