We stayed for two nights starting on the 14th. What amazed us most was how lavish both dinner and breakfast were! So much sashimi—freshly caught in the Hyuga-nada—and an endless variety of dishes made with truly fresh fish. The “fresh sashimi” you eat in Hakone, Atami, or Boso doesn’t even compare to the sashimi at this Accommodation—it’s that delicious! The difference in quality was so striking that we were simply moved and amazed again and again. It’s almost too good—after this, you won’t be able to eat supermarket sashimi anymore (in the best way), haha. And on a clear day, the view from the Room is absolutely breathtaking! The scenery is so beautiful it makes you not want to step outside even once. The owner’s thoughtfulness is also incredible. The marinated seafood rice bowl was outstanding, and when I casually said it was so good I wanted to have it again, he remembered—and served it at our final breakfast. He also sent us off with his homemade mochi rolls filled with sweet red bean paste that my husband raved about as “amazing!” Even though he runs everything on his own, I couldn’t help wondering how he manages to be this attentive—it impressed us all over again. There isn’t an Onsen or a large public bath, and there may not be any flashy features—but soaking in the bath while gazing at the stars from your Room is wonderful, and you can spend your time in complete peace and quiet. This Accommodation comes highly recommended! We definitely want to stay again. Thank you for helping make our trip so special.

It was an Accommodation that made wonderful memories! This beautifully crafted traditional Japanese house, complete with an irori hearth and a kamado stove, was amazing! The kids loved getting to try cooking rice on the kamado. The freshly cooked rice was glossy and unbelievably delicious! The owner was also very kind and lovely—their warm personality really showed through. There’s also a Shiba Inu named Chachamaru, and he is just too adorable!! We’ll definitely come back to see him again!

The Room was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. Another point I’d recommend is that it’s within walking distance of the Bikan Historical Quarter. The only drawback was that the parking location was a bit hard to find.

Even during extreme heat, the property is located in a cool area, so you can stay comfortable and feel refreshed. For travelers who mainly cook for themselves or eat out, the kitchen utensils and tableware are provided—just bring your ingredients and enjoy meals on your own schedule.

The facility is somewhat old-fashioned, with water facilities reflecting a bygone era. It may not be suitable for those accustomed to the latest amenities, but I found the retro and calming atmosphere of the café space to match well with the interior of the Ryokan. The bath had a limited capacity, requiring some consideration, but there was no crowding, and using the bathing area was smooth. The bathtub was filled with many floating citrus fruits (zabon), which gave off a wonderful fragrance. We only requested breakfast, which featured standard Ryokan-style dishes with plenty of side dishes to accompany rice. It left us feeling very full. One highlight was meeting the resident cats! At designated times, we visited their room where four cats were present—just watching them was soothing. The hostess kindly ensured that everyone could interact with them comfortably, and even children enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Around the front desk were various cat-themed items that showcased their love for cats clearly. Our children adored the cats so much that they said they want to visit again! If we have another chance in the future, we would love to return here again!

I booked immediately after seeing it on the website, and when I actually stayed there, it was spacious with a great sense of openness.

The owner is very kind. The interior and furnishings are thoughtfully designed, and the Accommodation is very clean. It’s also within walking distance of the beach, which is very convenient.

It was a town that somehow felt nostalgic, as if I had stepped back into the Showa era. After checking in, I was free to do as I pleased and could relax deeply. It was a place I’d like to visit again.

The Accommodation was very clean, especially the bathroom and kitchen areas. The futon was comfortable to sleep on, and the sofa was also very comfortable—overall, we were very satisfied.

The sauna was incredibly relaxing—absolutely amazing! Without being tied to a schedule, we could enjoy a barbecue and use the sauna whenever we liked, making it a truly blissful stay. The host was also very kind, and I definitely want to come back again. For this price, the overall experience was exceptional—outstanding value for money.

Our first four-generation trip was so enjoyable and comfortable that we returned for the first time in three years. The lush natural scenery through the large windows is wonderful, and opening the windows in the morning to feel the refreshing highland breeze helps us recharge every time. The children were completely absorbed in playing with the toys in the kids’ Room. The living room, bedroom, and each Room were all kept very clean, and with high-quality cooking appliances, cookware, and nearly all amenities provided, we could stay in great comfort. Above all, the owners are such a lovely couple that our trip becomes an even more special memory. We would love to stay again next year.

This was our second time staying at this accommodation for a solo-parent trip. We were a group of 4 children (two 3-year-olds, one 5-year-old, and one 6-year-old) and 2 adults. We were very grateful to be guided to a room located close to the bath area. The room was a spacious tatami-style room with no obstacles for the kids to bump into—simple yet perfect. The futons had thick mattresses, which provided great support and allowed us to sleep comfortably without any back pain. Breakfast was a delicious and easy-to-eat Japanese set meal, and they kindly provided child-friendly tableware. We would love to stay here again next time. Thank you very much!

Both the view from the garden and the Room itself were beautiful and very comfortable—I felt like I could live there. Picking herbs and blueberries, relaxing in a hammock, and more let you unwind freely and feel like a kid again. The owner couple were also cheerful and wonderful people. It’s such an amazing location that you can understand why, after traveling to many places, they chose to settle here in Biei. I’d love to stay again.

This stay met almost all of our needs, and we had a truly satisfying time. We booked a Multiple Night Stay, and it was so enjoyable that we felt even three nights would have been great—our whole family loved spending time together here. Specifically, we enjoyed the selection of books and picture books, as well as kid-friendly items like darts, billiards, table tennis, and a projector. My wife relaxed on the sofa reading, and as a couple we enjoyed coffee while playing table tennis and billiards, reading, and listening to music—overall it was wonderful family time in an elegant setting. There are also many nature spots nearby, so we were able to go out to enjoy both greenery and the sea. (Just one point—this may have been due to timing.) It wasn’t extremely upsetting, but I was a bit disappointed that a staff member opened the door without permission while I was using the restroom and did not apologize. (At first I thought it was my child playing around; even though I responded verbally from inside, the door was still opened. I also intended to lock it but may have made a mistake. In general accommodations this would be very unlikely.) That said, my desire to stay again has not changed at all. I really relate to the Facility concept as well. This stay also strengthened my interest in rural living—I want to support this place—and both my wife and I agree that we would love to return when we want to refresh and Clear our minds again. We hope to make another opportunity soon and come back for a relaxing getaway.

It looked just like the photos, but seeing it in person, the Room exceeded my expectations, and the IKEA-furnished interior was wonderful!! I also loved that the indoor bath was hotter while the open-air bath was cooler—the open-air bath felt so relaxing, as if it blended into nature. It was such a comfortable stay from start to finish that one night felt like a waste!! Next time I come to Kumamoto, I’d love to stay in this Room for two nights or more!! I stayed here alone. It’s very close to the station and the location is great, though I got a little lost at first. It was my first time staying at a guesthouse in a while, so I was nervous, but the owner was very kind and easy to talk to, and also recommended some great nearby places. Even though it was December, the Room was warm and I could relax. I’m glad I stayed here. I’d love to stay again next time.
