Conveniently located near the station, and the front desk staff are very kind. The Room was clean, and I had a comfortable stay! I stayed during a three-day holiday weekend, and the price was reasonable—I will definitely stay here again when I visit Fukushima!

We always stay here when traveling with three generations, and we truly appreciate your hospitality. (It also feels nostalgic because my father worked here back in the Kanpo days!) Since the renovation, it has become even more comfortable for children, and we made more wonderful memories again this time. As part of the summer vacation program, our kids were thrilled right after arrival with the cardboard maze and the guests-only soft-serve ice cream and ice pops! At dinner, there were also summer-only treats like chocolate bananas and shaved ice—like a fun festival. They were set up so they couldn’t be seen from our seats at first, so after the kids finished their meal and we told them about it, they happily went to get some. We really like that both breakfast and dinner are served at the table rather than buffet-style, so we can relax and enjoy our meal. The dishes used Yaizu sashimi and rice, and we could feel the care put into the food. And we were absolutely full!!! The Onsen water quality has been great for years, and my mother and daughter were able to relax together. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and had a welcome little visitor (a cicada)! The kids loved it (it was gone by morning). The staff at the front desk and shop were kind and helpful as well—this is a Hotel where we can feel safe and comfortable. If there were a Room that could accommodate six people, that would be perfect; from next time we will need to book two rooms. We would be very happy if there were an option where everyone could stay together. Thank you again for your continued support.

The exterior gives the impression of a traditional hotel, but once inside, it feels like a bright and clean luxury Ryokan. The rooms and hallways have a touch of Showa retro atmosphere, yet everything is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The staff's hospitality is excellent. As for the meals, true to the hotel's name, there are many recipes featuring apples that were both enjoyable and delicious. However, the highlight was definitely the Onsen. The large public bath was almost always private whenever I visited, and the water quality was incredibly smooth—leaving my skin warm and moisturized after bathing. I also appreciated how they separated bathing areas for day visitors and overnight guests, which added to the special feeling of staying there. The welcome apple was not only delicious but also a charming idea that brought warmth to my experience. I would love to visit again!

Stayed for work.\nSince I only needed a place to sleep, I wasn’t expecting much, but it was a completely satisfying one-night stay from check-in to check-out.\nThe front desk service was excellent. And when I entered the Room—what a surprise! It was very spacious, and the bed was huge!!\nBecause you take off your shoes at the entrance, I could relax and didn’t worry about dirt on the floor.\nThe table was large, and the TV was big and easy to watch.\nThe sink area is separate and convenient, and the bath and toilet were clean and spotless.\nThe wallpaper and flooring colors felt modern yet calming.\nThe mattress firmness was just right! The only thing is that the pillow was a bit low for me—I would have liked it higher—but for one night it was acceptable.\nEven the freezer section in the fridge froze properly. I also appreciated having plenty of hangers.\nAbove all: clean, beautiful, and comfortable!!\nAnd breakfast impressed me. There were lots of local dishes as well as desserts, and everything I tried tasted great.\nIt was a very satisfying breakfast.\nThere is also plenty of free parking.\nWith Marunaka supermarket right across the street, shopping is easy too.\nI liked being able to make bath salts in the lobby. We stayed in a Japanese-style Room with a private open-air bath fed directly from the source. First, about the Onsen: the open-air bath in our Room was truly luxurious and easy to access from the Japanese-style Room. Even though it was still a bit chilly seasonally, we were able to use it comfortably. The large public bath is located in a secure area inside the building, and although we stayed just before a holiday weekend and had it almost to ourselves, we never felt uneasy about safety. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very comfortable. As a result, we enjoyed going back and forth between the private open-air bath in our Room and the large public bath many times! Next, about the meals: dinner was very filling, and we enjoyed a wide variety of local ingredients from appetizers through to the main course. The luxury items—especially grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) marinated in yuzu sauce and Noto beef—were beyond what we had imagined. Breakfast also offered various delicious “rice companions” that paired perfectly with great rice, so we thoroughly enjoyed it. Since this is not a new building, I was initially concerned about heating and other measures against the cold, but there were no issues with temperatures either in our Room or throughout the Facility. We were able to relax comfortably in a spacious, clean, calm Japanese-style Room. We had packed plans for the next day as well, so we left early on the first Shuttle Service bus; looking back, I think it would have been nice to take things slower at this Accommodation. There aren’t many places to visit right around this Accommodation, but we did enjoy short walks such as Rosanjin’s Iroha Soan and around an atmospheric public bath area nearby. Access is also reasonable: it’s about 10–15 minutes by Shuttle Service bus from Kagaonsen Station (and it takes only around 5 minutes from getting off the Shinkansen to boarding). There isn’t a lobby café or trendy services like breakfast buffets that you often see these days; however, for anyone who wants to unwind at a calm Ryokan with an old-fashioned sense of comfort and security above all else, I can highly recommend this Accommodation. It may also be because we splurged somewhat on a good Room option they prepared for us, but overall my spouse and I were completely satisfied—we couldn’t find anything to fault. Lastly, thank you very much to our attendant for your warm hospitality. We would love to stay again.

The riverside open-air bath was closed, but we used the outdoor Onsen reached by going down 300 steps. The staircase is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. We were told it’s open until 11:00 p.m., but we were worried about our footing at night, so we went in the evening and again in the morning. While soaking, we enjoyed the river’s flow and the mountains, listening to the sound of the water. The stairs were tough, but I truly felt glad we came. The semi-open-air bath down about 20 steps was also wonderful, with a clear view of the mountains right in front of you. The temperature was perfect for me. I didn’t expect much from the indoor bath, but it had large windows and felt very pleasant; there was a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, and a hotter pool where we could relax comfortably. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind and welcoming. Dinner came in many small dishes. The beef and the meatballs in the hot pot were delicious. Even simple items like the beef sauce, hot-pot broth, and pickles were all excellent. The portions were just right for us as a couple. I think you need to be fairly fit to visit an outdoor Onsen that requires going down 300 steps—but I’m really glad we did. This isn’t about the Accommodation itself, but both the bus driver from Nasushiobara Station and the person at Shiobara Onsen Terminal who explained a map of Shiobara Onsen were incredibly friendly, which made our memories of this trip even better. The Hotel and rooms feel a bit dated, but it was quiet and I slept soundly. Breakfast included, unlimited manga reading, and included alcohol and soft drinks were very helpful. I will stay again.

The mist felt like a shower of beauty serum, and my skin became truly soft and deeply moisturized. After enjoying the hot stone sauna, the open-air bath, and the radon Onsen, even my knee pain had eased by the time I left. I was amazed—my knee could bend again! The staff were all very warm and welcoming, and breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. I prefer this style over a buffet. I would love to visit again.

We planned a last-minute trip as a couple, and never expected to find such a wonderful Accommodation available during the Obon holidays at such an affordable price. Dinner was impressive, featuring dishes that brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients, served on Hagi-yaki–style ceramic tableware. The buffet breakfast was also full of delicious options. While the annex is not very large, it felt newly finished and was comfortable. Above all, the location alone—an expansive view of the majestic Sea of Japan right below the window—seems worth tens of thousands of yen. The staff were warm and welcoming as well, making it an unforgettable stay.

My parents stayed here because they had been interested in it for a while. Since it was a weekday, it was fairly quiet and they were able to relax. They were also happy that other older guests were using the pool too, so they felt comfortable using it without hesitation, and they said the food was beautifully presented and delicious!

I stayed here while visiting the Dewa Sanzan shrines. The Accommodation had a very relaxing atmosphere, the meals were delicious, and the bath was excellent. I also signed up the night before and was able to join an early-morning visit to Mt. Yudono. It was a truly rare and wonderful experience. I will definitely return. Thank you very much.

Used this Hotel for an Eastern Hokkaido golf tour. We rented a tall SUV to load golf bags, and the parking lot includes flat areas, which was convenient. We had a Multiple Night Stay under separate Reservations, and thanks to the staff’s consideration we were able to stay in the same Room throughout, which was very helpful. The Onsen was great—very much what you’d expect from Dormy Inn—with a semi-open-air bath that felt wonderful. Breakfast was also excellent, with locally sourced ingredients and a very satisfying selection. We will stay here again on our next Eastern Hokkaido tour.

Every year, our family of six goes on a trip, and this time we visited Nagato Yumoto Onsen, Hagi, and Tsuwano. On the first night, we stayed at Gyokusenkaku. The staff were very kind, the value for money was excellent, and the food was great. Even though many places now ask guests to do things themselves (like laying out futons), we really appreciated that they prepared our futons for us. As a treat for myself, I also enjoyed a massage—something that fewer places offer these days. The Onsen bath water was gentle and soft on the skin, and we were very satisfied.

We stayed as a family of eight. The Japanese-Western style room had three beds, and futons were provided in the tatami room. It was spacious enough for us to relax comfortably. The welcome drink and amenities such as shampoo were great. We booked a Plan that included vouchers worth 2,000 yen per person for a nearby Chinese restaurant, and we were able to eat until we were completely full. Thank you to all the staff for welcoming us with smiles.

This was my first stay. Located right by the sea, the live squid sashimi enjoyed while watching the sunset was outstanding. The building is a bit old, but the detached annex is two stories and offers a nice sense of privacy. The location is great, and I was able to relax at a leisurely pace. Even before check-in, they kindly let a family member who wasn’t feeling well use a resting area, for which I’m very grateful. I’d love to stay again and have already shared it with friends.

Our group of nine across three families stayed for three nights, and it was a clean, spacious Hotel that everyone—from adults to children—could enjoy. It was well stocked with amenities, from essentials to thoughtful extras. We’re planning to visit Miyakojima again next year and would love to stay here again.

The Room was clean and spacious, and the bedding—including the pillows—was thoughtfully maintained to prevent odors, making for a very comfortable stay. I stayed here due to moving and was completely exhausted, but I was able to rest well. The bathroom was also spacious, which was great. I’ve stayed at other Sotetsu Fresa Inn locations as well and think they offer excellent value for money.

As described in the title, the bathtub was spotless, and the thoughtfully crafted breakfast menu was excellent.
