Jiyu Tabi Club Kiso Mikawa House

I stayed here during a motorcycle touring trip! The staff were kind, and I was able to relax.Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. I don’t usually eat that much, but I ended up getting seconds several times.The Room has no windows. When you turn off the lights, it becomes completely dark. Since I’m sensitive to light and noise, I slept very well. (I felt there weren’t enough toilets.)

Excellent value for money.What I liked:The drink bar is free and available 24 hours a day.Dinner:I chose the Plan with a selectable set meal. It was genuinely tasty, came with several small side dishes, and was very satisfying.Alcohol was also reasonably priced, which was great.Breakfast:It’s free, but the quality is higher than staying at an inexpensive Business Hotel.Points to note:It can be hard to find staff at the front desk outside of check-in hours. (It feels like thorough cost-cutting, which I actually appreciated.)There were items left in the refrigerator from a previous guest, and it was broken. (I reported it to the front desk and they replaced it right away, so that was good.)The sauna in the bath area wasn’t turned on (power off?), so I couldn’t use it. (They handled it when I told the front desk, but it took time to heat up, which was a bit disappointing.)Having a sauna is nice, but since it’s located in the changing room area, the temperature there gets high and you don’t cool down easily.There were a few minor issues, but considering how affordable it was for this level of service, I’d definitely like to stay again.
