Ryokami Onsen Kokumin Shukusha Ryokamisou

It was my first time in an Onsen in a while, and it was amazing. I ended up soaking three times! The meals were delicious too. I thought about adding extra meat, but there was a buffet, so I was completely full. Since I don’t usually eat much for breakfast, the breakfast buffet was perfect as well. We also really enjoyed the private table tennis room—my child had a great time working up a sweat. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We’ll be back again. Thank you very much.

I stayed here on this occasion to coincide with the Chichibu Pilgrimage “Uma” Year Special Opening. Being able to see a hidden Buddha that I had never been able to encounter before felt truly extraordinary—if I were to put it in modern terms, it was like finally meeting, in person, someone you’ve supported for years.For those who can keep confidences, Chichibu is a precious and sacred place where you can come into contact with many important secret traditions handed down by great people of old. (It does take just a little imagination and an interest in history.)This Ryoshinso is also, in fact, a venerable Accommodation where a world-famous figure once stayed when they were young. And like Chichibu itself, you can’t fully understand it from just one visit.
