Natural Hot Spring Sekiyama no Yu Super Hotel Joetsu Myoko Station West Exit

Used for a memorial service. There aren’t many shops in front of the station, but there is a shop inside the Hotel, as well as izakaya pubs, Komeda Coffee, and Ootoya. A convenience store and an Onsen Facility are on the opposite side of the station, about a 7–8 minute walk away. The Room has a unit bath, but there is also a large public bath (women’s side is locked). Loungewear and amenities are placed in front of the elevator; there are also a washing machine, ice maker, and microwave, which was convenient. Breakfast portions are small, but there are both Japanese- and Western-style options—more than enough. Recommended if you can allow plenty of time. Every staff member was pleasant and very kind, which made our stay comfortable. The Room isn’t large by any means, but it was clean; you can choose your pillow type; and there were welcome drinks including alcohol—overall excellent value for money and we were very satisfied with this Hotel.

I have stayed here many times. The clean facilities, pleasant Onsen, and satisfying breakfast are all very good. However, that was something I could say because the room rates used to be affordable. Perhaps due to recent inflation, the rates have increased significantly compared with before. In the past, weekends and holidays were not much different, but now they feel much more expensive. During Golden Week and Silver Week in particular, the rates are considerably higher than those of a neighboring Hotel. Since there used to be little difference, I chose Super Hotel without hesitation, but next time I may have to think twice. I hope that once inflation settles down, the pricing will return to what it was before.
