Koyo Grand Hotel

We stayed in a twin Room. For a Hotel in the city center, the Room was spacious and exceptionally well cleaned, making our stay very comfortable. The staff seemed well trained, and the service was excellent. We had the Japanese set breakfast, which was delicious. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Sendai Station, and there is a subway station and bus stop right in front of the Hotel, making it very convenient for getting around. We would like to stay here again when visiting Sendai.

The building itself is old—likely from the bubble era. The lobby is gorgeous. While the age of the Room and facilities is noticeable, the location is excellent: it’s right in front of Hirose-dori Station (one stop from Sendai on the Namboku Line), and it’s a comfortable walking distance both toward Sendai Station and toward Kokubuncho.I came by car and was looking for an affordable Hotel near a station with parking, and ended up here. With many station-adjacent places, parking can be expensive or located away from the Hotel, but here (as of 2026/8/19) it’s JPY 1,000 per night, and the parking lot is in the Hotel basement—so you won’t get wet even when it rains. Even with a Multiple Night Stay, two nights would be JPY 2,000. Some Hotels charge additional parking fees between the first day’s checkout time and the second day’s check-in time, but that does not happen here.I’ve been staying here around Obon for several years now, and I’d like to continue doing so in future years as well. The rates are very reasonable, which I truly appreciate. If anyone is worried that such low prices might mean something questionable—please don’t be. It simply seems to be an older Hotel offering great value for money. For me, it’s unbeatable cost performance. Thank you as always.
