Hotel Marroad Hakone

It was a lovely, small Hotel with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The free-flow option was great. The chandelier in the dining room was sparkling and beautiful. The meals were delicious as well. I was satisfied with the Onsen, the Room, and the service. Above all, it wasn’t noisy or crowded—just calm and peaceful.

We stopped by on our way back from a memorial service. The elevator, the corridor leading to the large public bath, and the shared restrooms on the 2nd floor did feel a bit dated, but we were told that the 4th floor—where we stayed—was renovated two years ago, and both the corridor and our Room were very clean and refreshed. Unfortunately, last time we couldn’t make use of the free-flow service, but this time we checked the hours properly and enjoyed it to the fullest. The free-flowing hot spring bath was also set to a slightly lower temperature for this season, which made it very comfortable. Most notably, both the French full-course dinner and breakfast were exceptionally delicious and truly impressive. From an elegant pumpkin soup to fish dishes with no unpleasant odor and beef that practically melted in your mouth, each dish felt filled with care from those who prepared it. The staff’s warm smiles and thoughtful hospitality made everything taste even better. We will definitely stay again next time. Thank you very much.
