Sapporo Sunplaza

I stayed in Sapporo for two nights and chose this place for value. First of all, the parking fee is only 660 yen, with free in-and-out access during the stay—an incredible deal. At other hotels, I think it would be around 3,000 yen.The Room is a bit dated. I did notice poor ventilation in the bathroom, but it was clear that cleaning is done thoroughly. The front desk staff were also kind. There are many restaurants around the Hotel, so you can enjoy yourself without going all the way to Susukino. I used to stay only in Susukino, but my family liked this place too, so I’d like to stay here again next time.

There was a sign marking the Hotel’s 40th anniversary, so it seems to have quite a history, but the lobby, guest rooms, and hallways felt fairly new and were very well cleaned, making my stay comfortable. It was under 8,000 yen with breakfast on a Friday at the end of September. The area around Kita-Nijuyo-Jo Station is convenient and calm, with many places to eat. I wanted a Multiple Night Stay for three nights, but there was no availability on Saturday and Sunday, so next time I’ll book earlier.
