Forest Resort Yugawara Mizunokaori

This was my first stay in Yugawara Onsen.The water is quite hot, which I personally like.The dishes were beautifully plated and a delight to look at as well.We were also very grateful to the staff who assisted us during meals—they were always smiling and very attentive.This isn’t specific to this Hotel, but regarding children’s meals: when we choose Child Sharing Existing Bedding and order only the meal, most places serve something like a kids’ set. Even if it’s paid, we would really appreciate having the option to choose just rice and miso soup. Our 2-year-old was kindly provided rice and miso soup free of charge. For our 5-year-old, we felt it wouldn’t be right not to order a meal, so we did—but we would be very thankful if there were options to choose from. I don’t want to end up finishing what my child leaves behind instead of enjoying the wonderful food myself—an admittedly selfish request.The dried horse mackerel at breakfast was absolutely delicious. We look forward to staying again when we visit Yugawara.

I chose this Hotel for its location and strong Review ratings, and this was my first stay.Upon entering the building, I noticed a faint scent of new tatami mats.Overall, the layout feels spacious and unhurried, and it gave me the impression that even older areas are being carefully maintained.With carpet throughout the floors, I didn’t notice footsteps or other noise; even though I stayed over a weekend, I was able to relax in peace.Many of the staff are from overseas, but everyone greeted guests with a smile and seemed to enjoy their work.For bathing, I used both the indoor large public bath and the open-air bath.The Onsen wasn’t overly hot, so it was easy on the body and I could soak at leisure.To the Hotel manager:Even when tapping the vanilla button on the ice cream vending machine, it switches to a chocolate product instead, so vanilla cannot be purchased.Please check this.This is simply a personal wish, but I would be even happier if there were a Plan that allows guests to choose bread for breakfast as well.I would appreciate your consideration.It was a wonderful holiday.I will stay again.
