I have stayed in the most luxurious rooms, including ones costing 2 million yen per night, and I travel over 30 days a year, staying at various accommodations. This time, the room for two adults was priced at 68,200 yen. The accommodation is a renovated traditional Japanese house. Firstly, there is no adjacent parking lot. The designated parking lot is about 300 meters away and very far. Additionally, as the road in front of the facility prohibits entry, it was not possible to unload luggage directly in front of the facility. This was very inconvenient. Upon arrival, we had to unload our luggage and park at a distant parking lot. In the evening when going out for dinner or returning afterward, we had to walk back and forth from this distant parking area each time. On departure in the morning with light rain falling, although umbrellas were provided on-site, our feet got wet due to puddles. The interior of this renovated traditional house has significant drafts making it extremely cold inside during wintertime. The window glass lacks any insulation properties due to its thinness; only shoji screens are placed before them as an additional layer but provide little help against cold air seeping through wooden frames holding these windows together—resulting overall difficulty warming up rooms effectively even after setting air conditioning units upstairs/downstairs both maxed-out temperature settings (30°C).
