Biwako Lakeside Gourmet Inn Futabasou

This was a calm, relaxing Ryokan right in front of Lake Biwa. The three of us—my older sister, my 93-year-old mother, and I—stayed here to celebrate my mother’s birthday.All the staff were very kind, and above all, every meal was delicious and truly enjoyable.The amber tea sweets are Futabaso’s original specialty and were incredibly tasty. I wanted to buy some but had given up because there was no shop on-site. When I asked a staff member, they told me it could be ordered for delivery, and they kindly prepared it for us before we left—making it the perfect souvenir. It was such a comfortable Ryokan that it made me want to book a Multiple Night Stay.Thank you very much to all the staff.

We stayed for two nights as a couple. Dinner was served in the Room. The meals, including Omi beef, fish and vegetables from Shiga, and local sake, were all delicious. It is conveniently located near historical sites such as Hikone Castle, Omihachiman, Nagahama City, and Chikubu Island, making sightseeing enjoyable. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.
