  I finally got to vis...

  I finally got to visit Kusatsu Onsen. The Facility has a historic atmosphere, the service was average, and the only amenity provided was a toothbrush. I would have liked a bottle of water in the refrigerator. It was pouring rain and my shoes and clothes were soaked through, but I still had to wear wet shoes the next day. It would have been nice if there had been some consideration, such as drying them. I was satisfied with the baths and the meals.

  There won’t be a second time.

  The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. However, the property felt dated in places, and the hallways and bath area were quite dim. The meals I was most looking forward to were also nothing special; the beef in the sukiyaki was very thin, and it felt like I was eating tiny leftover pieces from the pot. Overall, everything felt somewhat half-baked, and I don’t think I would stay again.

  The staff were very courteous, and I had a comfortable stay. All of the meals were delicious, and I was very satisfied! I will stay again.

  This is an accommodation with heartfelt hospitality.

  This accommodation offers exceptional hospitality, treating guests with great care and attention. Meals are served in the dining area, and staff kindly see you off at the exit after each meal. Even during check-out, cleaning staff pause their work to bid farewell until the elevator doors close, showcasing thoughtful service that makes you glad to have chosen this accommodation. The ryokan was renovated in 2021 and features a stylish modern Japanese design. While there are no surprising activities or facilities, it allows you to fully enjoy a relaxing time at Kusatsu Onsen and within the accommodation itself.
