This was my second visit this year, and it’s soothing no matter when I come. The service strikes just the right balance of attentiveness and privacy, the rooms are spacious, and the meals keep evolving—overall, it’s a place with an exceptionally high level of satisfaction. 　This time in particular, the breakfast—renewed since this spring—was outstanding. In contrast to the gorgeous French dinner, it’s a simple Japanese-style meal, but each dish is truly delicious. They’ve also changed how they cook the rice, and the finishing bowl topped with dashi was superb. 　I’m already looking forward to being impressed again on my next visit.

Dear Kamon Team, To celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary, we stayed here for the first time, choosing your Accommodation based on Reviews around the Hakone area—and it turned into the best anniversary we could have hoped for. My wife and I are truly grateful. From check-in to check-out, we received impeccable hospitality in every way. Starting with the attendant whose wonderful smile looked after us, every member of staff was exactly as described in the Reviews—flawless in their manners and attentive to even the smallest details. The beautifully renewed design blending Japanese and Western styles was delightful, and everything throughout the Facility was thoroughly cleaned and well maintained, creating an exceptional sense of freshness and comfort. As lovers of traditional Ryokan stays, both my wife and I were completely satisfied. We were also impressed by the wide selection of stylish women’s yukata—and it felt almost too wonderful to receive a cute drawstring pouch filled with amenities as well. When we mentioned in advance that we were visiting for our anniversary, thoughtful touches awaited us at dinner: a framed red-and-white crane mizuhiki decoration, chopstick rests marked with celebratory characters, sekihan served in an adorable bowl with “good fortune” written on it—and even a commemorative gift of a ceramic tumbler set. The dinner course itself was outstanding: exquisite ingredients beautifully presented on elegant tableware, with staging that delighted all five senses. We could truly feel the aesthetic sense and craftsmanship of everyone in the kitchen team throughout. Of course, there was nothing to fault—the taste, portions, hot/cold balance, and perfectly timed serving and clearing were all impeccable. We have stayed at many luxury Ryokan and heritage Hotels every year for our anniversary, but there is no doubt that Kamon has become an unforgettable Accommodation for us. Even on our way home we couldn’t stop talking about your hospitality together. We would love to return again—thank you very much in advance when we do. We sincerely wish you continued prosperity going forward.

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s first birthday. It was our first family trip with the puppy we had just welcomed home, and we had many worries, but thanks to the kindness of the staff and the well-stocked amenities, we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. And above all, the meals were delicious!! We had both breakfast and dinner, and both left us completely satisfied—full in body and heart. The Onsen in the large public bath was wonderful as well. The open-air bath in our Room is not an Onsen, but it was spacious and relaxing. Our family has already been saying how we want to come back again soon.

We had a relaxing stay as a couple. The service was excellent, and the property was kept very clean. The meals were especially outstanding, and we could really feel the care and passion of the kitchen staff. Everything was beautifully and thoughtfully presented, and the flavors were superb. We stayed here during my 7th month of pregnancy for a maternity trip. It was our first time staying in Gora, and while choosing among the many Accommodations, we decided based on the availability of an in-room open-air bath, Reviews of the food, and the high level of service—and it was absolutely the right choice. Every dish was delicious, and from check-in to check-out we had a truly comfortable experience. It was our last trip as a couple before welcoming our baby, and it became a very memorable journey. My husband also said that although he has stayed at many Accommodations before, this one left a particularly strong impression and he was very satisfied. We would definitely like to stay again.

The meals are delicious, but above all, from the warm welcome to the send-off, every member of staff is truly wonderful, and no matter when we visit, we always feel at ease. We would love to come again during the autumn foliage season later this year—this is an essential place to stay for anyone traveling with a dog.

This was my first stay. The welcome drink included alcohol, and it made a fantastic first impression. After checking in at the compact yet open and airy lobby, I headed to my room. It was efficiently laid out, spotless, and so well designed that it felt like my home had been upgraded. The semi-open-air hinoki bath smelled wonderful, the water temperature was easy to adjust, and I was able to relax fully at just the right temperature. The amenities were excellent, and I was especially happy to try a Kinujyo hair dryer for the first time. Dinner was a creative kaiseki course and truly outstanding. The Inaho dish had an addictive flavor, the apple gratin was delicious, and the hamo (pike conger) and duck dobin-mushi was exceptional. They kindly made rice balls from the matsutake rice I couldn’t finish, and even the late-night inari sushi snack was delicious—everything felt thoughtfully prepared with no shortcuts. The clam soup at breakfast was so good that I asked for seconds. I also appreciated that service at both dinner and breakfast was attentive yet unobtrusive—not overly pushy—which can be hard to balance. Check-out being at 12:00 allowed me to enjoy the hot spring again after breakfast. I had a wonderfully relaxing time enjoying both the hot springs and the meals, and I would love to stay again.

We stayed to celebrate my father’s 81st birthday. From the warm welcome at our car, the staff’s courteous and heartfelt hospitality left a strong impression, and we were able to spend the entire stay in great comfort. Not only was every detail thoughtfully taken care of—including arranging a wheelchair—but the all-inclusive offerings were also exceptionally fulfilling, allowing us to relax and enjoy a luxurious time without worrying about the clock. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious, and together with the atmosphere and interior design throughout the Hotel, we felt quality and attentive care in everything. I’m truly glad we chose this Hotel for such a special occasion as a birthday. I had assumed it might be used mostly by younger guests, but there were many older guests as well, so we could enjoy a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to everyone’s kindness, it became an unforgettable memory for us. This is a wonderful Hotel that makes us want to return in another season. Thank you very much for your sincere hospitality. Not only the building itself, but also the hanging scrolls and other details in the Room were wonderful, allowing us to spend a relaxing time while appreciating art and culture. As we stayed on a weekday, I mentioned at check-in that I was interested in the building, and the Accommodation staff kindly showed us several of Meijikan’s highlight Rooms. My parents and I were very satisfied. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. The in-room dining was also excellent, including freshly cooked white rice prepared right in front of us and abalone with a tender bite. We will visit again.

This was our second repeat stay. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. [Room] The staff member in charge of our room was the same person who looked after us so well last time, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful, attentive hospitality. Because I have trouble with my legs and found the floor chair in the room inconvenient, I asked whether a regular chair could be provided next time, and they listened carefully and sincerely to my request. [Meals] Once again, the explanations of each dish were very easy to understand. As each course arrived, everything was a delight for both the eyes and the palate—enjoyable and impressive throughout. Both breakfast and dinner conveyed how wholeheartedly the chefs strive to create their best dishes in harmony with the seasons. With details such as information about ingredients’ origins and small hands-on touches like grilling or grating at the table, every meal had variety and a wonderful sense of rhythm that never became monotonous. [A moment in the lobby] While waiting for our meal, we enjoyed tea in the lobby and had a pleasant conversation with a staff member from France who spoke fluent Japanese. We could also feel how brightly motivated—and seriously dedicated—the younger staff members were as they worked. There were many things we learned from everyone on staff. [Hot spring] We were extremely satisfied with both the view and tranquility of the private bath in our room. Soaking at leisure while watching scenery change over time truly feels luxurious. While bathing, I was able to rediscover not only nature’s beauty but also how precious time is—and even learn something new about myself. [Byakudan] Byakudan is a place where its people, cuisine, hot springs, and atmosphere gently welcome every guest. Next time, we hope to visit again in spring. I’d also like to try an esthetic treatment for the first time—so until then, I’ll do my best at work!

It was a calm, quiet hotel less than 10 minutes by shuttle bus from Gora Station. The meals were excellent. The free-flow drinks from 3:00 pm can also be enjoyed on the terrace. The view in the rain was lovely as well. The staff were very kind. The hot springs were great, but the step down into the indoor bath was deeper than expected, so I thought it would be helpful to have a notice posted somewhere. The milky-white hot spring water was wonderful, and the outdoor open-air bath was also very nice.

We stay here every year in early summer. It’s quiet, and we can relax at our own pace while enjoying the in-room bath whenever we like. The property is close to the museum, and after checking out we always stop by the museum and then head home by walking down through Gora Park. As seniors, we’ve been eating less over time, but the portion sizes here are always just right, and above all, each dish is carefully prepared and truly delicious. The staff are always smiling, with very polite service and language, so we can enjoy our stay comfortably and with peace of mind. It’s probably busy during the autumn foliage season and around New Year’s holidays, but we’re thinking of trying it next time.

The hot spring water is simply outstanding. Meeting the friendly and kind proprietress is also one of the highlights. I’ll be back again later this year. Thank you for everything!

This Accommodation has become more upscale in recent years and is now a bit of a splurge for me, so I visited this time to take advantage of a great deal. As always, the Onsen was wonderful, the meals were delicious, and the Room was spacious and very comfortable. I was also happy that you remembered my various requests from previous stays. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality again—I’d love to visit again when I find another opportunity.

I stayed with my elderly mother, my niece who had returned from abroad, and my daughter. They were very kind and attentive to foreign guests, and they accommodated our food requests exactly as asked. We are truly grateful. Unfortunately, it rained heavily both days so we couldn’t do much sightseeing, but Hakone Shrine was within walking distance for a stroll. The next day the roads were closed and it was quite difficult, but the staff informed us early in the morning, which helped a lot and became a good memory for my nieces as well. I would definitely like to visit again.

I gifted my mother a stay here for her 75th birthday. She’s a real foodie who’s always trying restaurants, and she came home excited, saying, “The restaurant was simply amazing!” and “Dinner was especially outstanding!” They even celebrated with a dessert plate, and I’m truly grateful to all the staff. She also thoroughly enjoyed the snacks placed around the property and the great variety of books—making it the perfect celebration. This isn’t the kind of place that serves flashy dishes or relies on lavish luxury ingredients, so I hesitated a bit about giving it to my elderly mother—but it turned out to be exactly right for her! She said, “I was tired of the typical meals you find everywhere, so this was really wonderful,” “I hope more people learn how special it is,” and “It makes total sense that there are many international guests. It’s a truly rare restaurant where you can genuinely experience Japanese culture.” Looks like my choice as her daughter was spot on (lol). *On the other hand, if it’s not your style, it really won’t be—so please keep that in mind if you’re giving this as a gift!!!

This is my favorite Hotel in Hakone Onsen. Every staff member is extremely kind and helpful. The dinner is enjoyable, as the appetizers vary each time we visit. After that, I get a body treatment; it’s always with the same therapist, which feels reassuring, and they are very skilled—I really like it. Highly recommended.

Since we reserved a detached Room, we were able to check in early and enjoy the open-air bath at the large public bath at our own pace. The Room was spacious and spotless, and above all, the charming open-air bath was outstanding. The meals were not only made with quality ingredients but also thoughtfully prepared with extra care, which we enjoyed to the very end. Every member of the guest room staff was pleasant, chatting with us in a friendly way while keeping a comfortable distance. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again.

I had a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing stay. Every staff member had a lovely smile, and their service felt truly professional and well trained. There were many international staff as well, but everyone was excellent and spoke Japanese very well. The meals were all delicious and beautifully presented, with perfect tableware and plating. This is an inn that makes you want to return, and I would gladly recommend it to my friends. Since there are Fufu properties across Japan, it might be fun to visit different locations for comparison.
