It was a wonderful Hotel that exuded classic history and elegance. Not only were the in-house Facilities excellent, but we were also truly impressed by the delicious cuisine and the breathtaking panoramic view over Toba Bay. Above all, the staff’s attentive care and warm hospitality were outstanding, allowing us to spend our entire stay in comfort and relaxation. At the club lounge, we enjoyed a leisurely time along with high-quality drinks and lounge-exclusive dishes. The cheesecake—so well known that people say “Toba International Hotel means cheesecake”—was indeed as delicious as its reputation suggests, adding a special touch to our stay. In addition, the “Pearl Aurora Bath” infused with pearl ingredients at Shiojitei on the grounds was exceptional; its shimmering water gently soothed away our travel fatigue. The food, location, bath, and service from the staff—everything made for a highly satisfying stay. This is a truly wonderful Hotel that we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

I stayed here on a solo trip. Everyone at the Accommodation was incredibly kind and helpful! The meals at the Accommodation were beautifully presented and delicious—I was very satisfied. I was surprised that the drinks in the Room were free! I enjoyed having alcohol on the terrace to cool off in the evening, and drinking oolong tea after a bath, haha. In the morning, I made drip coffee using hot water from the water dispenser and spent my time feeling refreshed. The Room was also very clean, and the in-room bath was an Onsen. There wasn’t any mold at all in the bathroom. The grout was spotless, the faucets were shiny, and even the drain was clean. The large public bath was great too—the design is lovely. This time my goal for the next day was visiting shrines, so I went to Ishigami-san, Hikodaki Daimyojin, and Isawa Shrine. They kindly explained nearby roads and how to get around, which helped a lot. What’s more, even after I had checked out, they actually ran after me just to give me a taxi company phone number. Thanks to that, I could take a taxi when traveling from Hikodaki Daimyojin to Isawa Shrine and arrived an hour earlier! They also recommended a very kind taxi company, so the driver told me what preparations I needed for visiting Isawa Shrine as well—and I made it up safely! It turned into such a wonderful trip! I’d definitely love to stay again!

The food was delicious, the free drinks were great, and we could watch the fireworks right in front of us—it was amazing. Thank you very much. If we have another opportunity, we would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Onsen was wonderful. Thank you for the complimentary champagne service at dinner.

We were planning an Onsen trip to celebrate my mother, and it was the first trip for three generations of our family. Since my mother cannot use the large public bath, we looked for a Room with a private open-air bath. Thanks to that, she was able to enjoy the Onsen. The bath in our Room was also fed by Onsen water, and she was very happy. We chose the standard kaiseki meal, but the portions were more than enough—so much that my sons had to give up at both dinner and breakfast. When I requested a cake for my mother’s 88th birthday celebration, they even prepared a red celebratory vest (chanchanko) for her as well, and we truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. The building was clean. The large public bath was small but spotless, and we were very satisfied. In the lobby there was a local sake tasting service, and in the morning there was also coffee service—everything felt very well provided. Our whole family was extremely satisfied. All of the staff were kind, and we had a comfortable stay. It became a wonderful celebratory trip. Thank you very much.

We stayed for our wedding anniversary with a Plan where we went fishing and the head chef prepared the fish we caught. We had such a wonderful time, and it was an Accommodation that made us truly glad we chose it for our anniversary. First, the atmosphere of the Room was fantastic, and it was lovely that you can see the ocean from every Room. It felt great to relax while gazing out at the sea from our Room. While fishing, we caught a fairly large fish that we both said might be a conger eel. We never expected it to be pike conger, so we were surprised when we found out later (laugh). If you bring the fish you catch back to the Accommodation by the designated time, the head chef will turn it into one dish for dinner. This time, our pike conger was served as a dish layering zucchini tempura and pike conger tempura, with ume plum paste and salt on the side. The flesh was incredibly fluffy and delicious. I think what makes this Plan special is being able to have “the fish we caught ourselves turned into such a wonderful dish.” It also became an unexpected travel memory. For dinner, I had mentioned in advance that I’m not good with raw fish, so they cooked mine through. They prepared it in ways that suited each type of fish—grilled or lightly seared—so I could enjoy everything deliciously. What left an especially strong impression was how attentive the staff were. They cleared away an egg-and-soy dipping sauce that came with sashimi once, but later my husband and I mentioned that since there would be udon at the end after Matsusaka beef shabu-shabu, “We should have kept that egg-and-soy sauce.” Then they brought us a fresh serving of egg-and-soy sauce, which made us very happy. It felt like they even noticed our small conversation; not only was the food excellent, but their thoughtfulness really stood out. During our stay there was also a group visiting from overseas, but because dining areas were separated, it never felt noisy and we could enjoy our meal at ease. The baths were also very spacious and well equipped—sauna; open-air bath; cold bath; jacuzzi; standing bath; and more. It was so nice that we wanted to go in again and again during our stay. The Room, cuisine, baths—and above all the considerate care from everyone on staff—were all completely satisfying. It became a wonderful stay worthy of our wedding anniversary. This is an Accommodation where we’d love to stay again for another special occasion.

We stayed here with four adults—my parents and us as a couple. This was our second visit, and we were able to relax thanks to the seasonal cuisine and wide selection of drinks. Since everyone has different preferences, the all-inclusive plan made it easy for all of us to enjoy both the meals and the baths, making it a truly wonderful trip.

As a devoted fan of Toba Grand Hotel—and as “Donguri Captain”—please allow me to share a few ideas with heartfelt appreciation: 1) Extend lounge hours (until 11:00 p.m.) Spending time in that sophisticated lounge is truly special. If guests could enjoy complimentary drinks until 11:00 p.m., the evening would become an even more memorable experience. 2) Revitalize the retro game arcade & festival-style corner If an energetic “festival corner” were added to that nostalgic and welcoming game arcade area, it would surely become a signature spot where both adults and children—across generations—could have an amazing time together! 3) Seasonal limited-time “all-you-can-eat fruit” buffet feature For example, “all-you-can-eat strawberries” in early spring or “all-you-can-eat melon” in summer. Having seasonal highlight events at the buffet would help attract repeat guests throughout the year and generate even more buzz—I’m confident it would be a great success. Of course, I fully understand that your staff’s working environment and operational considerations must come first. With that in mind, I would be grateful if you might keep these ideas in mind simply as one fan’s dream of “how wonderful it would be if this became possible.” With Toba Grand Hotel’s potential—and the passion of your entire team—I truly believe you will continue to be the region’s undisputed number-one Hotel. I was looking for an Accommodation with availability during the holiday period, and this was my first time staying at this Hotel! As mentioned in the Review, the building and baths are old, but everything was kept very clean. The changing area was also clean, and it really helped that there were plenty of hair dryers so I didn’t have to wait. The meal included a boat platter with spiny lobster! There was a generous amount of food, and it tasted great—I was very satisfied. In summer, the beach is right in front of you, so I think it would be nice to stay here for swimming as well.

At dinner, the proprietress came to speak with us, and when we mentioned our 30th wedding anniversary, she gave us a wonderful handwritten gift that truly moved us. We were so happy. We have it proudly displayed at home. The unexpected present became a very special memory.\nThe views from the Room and the dining area were exceptional as well.\nAt breakfast, we also had the chance to chat with a staff member from our hometown. We were touched by everyone’s kindness and thoughtfulness.\nIt was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much. We hope to visit again someday.

I stayed here after visiting Ise Shrine. A typhoon was approaching and it was raining, but it was disappointing that, due to the building’s layout, I couldn’t pull my car up right next to the entrance. Because of the typhoon, there were strong winds and heavy rain all night, and the window design made the whistling wind and rain noise noticeable. The Room felt a bit dated, but the bath was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and kind, which made up for the tough beef and dried-out yellowtail at dinner. If it hadn’t been priced for Silver Week, it would have been a perfect 100 out of 100.

I thoroughly enjoyed the all-inclusive experience. The meals, drinks, and snacks were all delicious, and the breakfast staff's efficient service was especially impressive. Unfortunately, it rained on the day of our arrival, so we couldn't see the sunset, but the next day was

The food, the Room, and the warm hospitality from the Hotel staff were all wonderful—we were completely satisfied. Everything we ate was delicious. The spiny lobster sashimi and assorted fish sashimi were very fresh and truly excellent. The Matsusaka beef was amazing, the abalone was delicious, and all of the other dishes were great as well. It felt very luxurious. The breakfast horse mackerel mirin-dried fish was tender and incredibly tasty, and even the seaweed—smoked over charcoal—was thoughtfully prepared. The complimentary breakfast coffee service was also excellent. The coffee machine was a De’Longhi. In the Room, there was a De’Longhi Icona kettle, Narumi coffee saucers, and quality sweets (Shell Raines)—everything provided was top-notch. We were able to relax in our guest Room with an open-air bath. With an ocean view and the sound of the waves, we enjoyed a truly special escape from everyday life. Thank you as well for responding so quickly to an unexpected issue. We learned a lot about true hospitality here. We would love to visit again.

We stayed as a couple in a twin room with a private open-air bath. There was no view from either the in-room bath or the open-air bath at the large public bath. The private open-air bath in the room was fairly spacious, so we could relax and enjoy it. The meals were buffet-style and average, but there was crab at breakfast—why not at dinner? People who like alcohol would enjoy having crab with a drink. The late-night tantanmen ramen was surprisingly light, which was nice. The front desk staff were experienced and kind, which we appreciated.

The room I stayed in felt outdated overall, and the three-piece unit bathroom was particularly small and inconvenient. However, everything else was clean and well-maintained. The view from the accommodation lived up to its reputation as a "scenic inn," offering stunning sunsets. A sandy beach is just a short walk away, making it ideal for swimming in summer. Guests can enjoy a private open-air bath once for free. There are two options: a cypress bath and a larger-than-usual tub bath; I recommend the tub bath for its size. Although the public bath lacked scenic views, I had it all to myself during my visit, allowing me to relax fully with plenty of space. The meals were exceptional both morning and evening—highly recommended for sashimi or seafood lovers! The spiny lobster sashimi was sweet and incredibly delicious. The next morning's spiny lobster miso soup had rich flavors from the broth and was equally delightful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making this an accommodation I'd love to visit again!
