I wanted to support a locally run, family-owned Accommodation, so I chose Irifune this time. The moment I stepped inside from the entrance, I was thrilled! After leaving the large public bath in the morning, I relaxed in the lobby with a cup of coffee. Spending unhurried time in the lobby while enjoying the traditional old house atmosphere was wonderful. The Room, the private bath in the Room, and the meals—everything was outstanding! I also purchased a pair of geta sandals. From now on, every time I wear them, I’ll remember Irifune and enjoy that lingering feeling in my everyday life. If I use them as indoor slippers, I’ll have more chances to wear them, so I plan to use them indoors. To all the staff: when I come back to Kumamoto, Irifune will be my only choice for a Reservation! I requested allergy accommodations, and I am truly grateful for the kind and attentive support you provided. Also, the way you interacted with our child was incredibly respectful—treating them as an individual. You gently answered all their questions while expanding on the conversation, and it seems they not only made new discoveries but also genuinely enjoyed connecting with people. After waving goodbye until you were out of sight, they even burst into tears. This is an Accommodation I can wholeheartedly recommend to families with children!! The curry you served our child at dinner was delicious!

We stayed for one night and two days. After passing Kurokawa Onsen, the Accommodation appeared quietly tucked away. Inside was very clean with an elegant atmosphere. The Room had tatami flooring and a bright, stylish design. It seemed everyone was spending a relaxing time in their Rooms. The open-air bath was spacious, and no matter when we went in, we had it all to ourselves—such a luxurious time. The water quality was excellent, and we were very satisfied. The meals were well balanced and truly delicious. Since it is not in an Onsen town, this Accommodation is recommended for those who want to rest and relax at the Accommodation.

The staff were very pleasant, and everyone was courteous. The Room was clean and spacious, and the garden view from the Room was also beautiful. It was great to see the azaleas in bloom as well. Since it was the rainy season, we couldn’t see the starry sky, but I’d love to try again if I have another chance! Both the breakfast and dinner buffets offered plenty of local dishes, and everything was delicious. I used the open-air bath while it was still bright after check-in. The view is wonderful, but there is no shade at all, so I found the UV rays on my skin a bit uncomfortable. It would be nice to have some sun protection such as a hat-shaped shade or parasols—especially for women. Overall, it was a Hotel I was very satisfied with!

I splurged on a one-night stay at an Accommodation I’d long admired. Having watched it on YouTube, I knew what to expect, but it was still an overwhelming experience. The attentiveness and demeanor of the staff in charge of my Room, along with their polite language, left a strong impression—it truly felt like a luxury Accommodation. The Room was absolutely wonderful, and the private bath was exceptional as well. The cuisine was stylish and very satisfying. They even accommodated my request during the evening performance, making it an unforgettable night that felt far removed from everyday life. I’ve stayed at many Accommodations over the years, and this is the best one yet. Thank you for such a wonderful day.

We stopped by during a drive trip to Mt. Aso. We traveled with our 1-year-old child, and we really appreciated the thoughtful consideration for meals. The food was delicious, and the open-air bath was excellent. We would love to visit again if we have the opportunity.

The Room was spacious and clean. The free-flowing Onsen bath in the Room was incredibly relaxing. The meals were delicious, and we were completely satisfied and full. The staff’s service was excellent as well. We would definitely like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

We stayed for one night with two people on June 11. To sum it up, we were extremely satisfied. We chose the recommended No. 1 Plan with breakfast and dinner: the Japanese Black Wagyu lava stone teppanyaki Plan. Every dish was truly delicious, the timing of each course was perfect, and the female staff member who served us provided excellent hospitality. If you stay at this Hotel, we definitely recommend choosing a Plan that includes dinner. The Room was clean, and although the large public bath is on the smaller side, the water was great. We also appreciated that a basket with a yukata robe and towels was prepared for taking to the bath.

Both breakfast and dinner offer a wide selection, including meat, fish, tempura, noodles, salads—everything you could want. The food is delicious. There are many kinds of desserts, and you can also take them back to your Room to enjoy. The herbal tea was excellent. The staff’s friendly greetings were wonderful. It’s a Hotel that’s hard to book, so if you get the chance, definitely give it a try.

The food was truly delicious. The dishes were so elaborate it was surprising, and the quality was so high I completely forgot I was staying in a cottage. I even made another Reservation right away and stayed again after just one day. I chose the same meal again, and it was genuinely excellent. And then there’s the open-air Onsen surrounded by vast, unspoiled nature as far as the eye can see—it’s truly something special. I love the carbonated Onsen water as well, and overall I was completely satisfied with the cottage, the scenery, and especially the food. Even though it was cloudy, after dinner at night I went outside, and I could clearly capture many summer stars even with my iPhone. This is an Accommodation I would definitely love to visit again.

There was a great selection, from treats like crab and grilled eel steak to local specialties such as ramen and dango-jiru. They also had ice cream for dessert, which was very satisfying. I used the large public bath early, so it wasn’t crowded and I could relax. There is also a private family bath, making it convenient for families with small children.

We stayed as a group of eight—my daughter and six grandchildren. There was a festival-style fair, and the kids were thrilled to use the pool both before and after meals. Above all, the buffet was delicious. We would love to come again with everyone.

The star-filled night sky was breathtaking, and the night trekking—something you rarely get to experience—was simply amazing. I was able to make irreplaceable memories with my 8-year-old daughter. Thank you so much.

This was my first time staying at a ranch, and I’m truly glad I chose “El Patio Ranch.” The Room was very clean and stylish. Since it’s surrounded by nature, I expected it to be a season with lots of insects, but the interior was meticulously maintained and spotless throughout, so I had a very comfortable stay. This time I enjoyed an early-morning horseback riding experience. It was almost my first time on a horse, but the trainer carefully taught me how to ride and how to interact with the horse, so I could relax and enjoy it with confidence. The weather wasn’t perfectly sunny, but riding while taking in Aso’s magnificent scenery in the clear, slightly misty air became a truly special memory. All of the front desk staff were kind and welcoming from start to finish, making my stay very pleasant. I didn’t use the large public bath or dine on-site this time, but even so, it was such a satisfying stay that it made me want to come back. During my stay, someone I happened to meet even took wonderful photos for me, making my travel memories even more special. The adorable horses and the resident dog were also incredibly soothing—I felt everyday fatigue melt away. I wholeheartedly recommend this Accommodation to anyone who wants to truly refresh in nature or enjoy horseback riding with peace of mind. This was my first ranch stay experience, and it couldn’t have been a better start. When I visit Aso again, I would definitely like to stay here again.

I’ve stayed here twice as a solo traveler! Each Room is in a separate annex and comes with a 24-hour free-flowing Onsen, so I loved being able to enjoy it anytime. The bath was also large enough for several people, which was amazing! The Room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Meals were served in a private dining room, so privacy was fully maintained and I could relax and enjoy them. The seafood, meat, and rice were all delicious—I was completely full and very satisfied! The service was pleasant as well; it’s a wonderful Accommodation. I’d love to stay again!

The buffet is very delicious, featuring local specialties such as horse sashimi. There is a wide variety of dishes, and the inclusion of regional menu items is especially appealing. It offers excellent value for money and made our trip truly satisfying. There were also plenty of sweets. The view of the grasslands from the Room was outstanding. I would have liked more information about the Onsen’s benefits and properties.

All the staff were cheerful and energetic, and their service was excellent. The Room and the bath were spacious and comfortable. The view from the Room was outstanding. Every dish at dinner was delicious. I would definitely like to stay again when I visit Aso. Thank you very much.

True to the meaning of an auberge, the full-course dinner and the breakfast are exquisite. The tableware, flowers, furnishings, and above all the madam and the chef’s son made it even more special, allowing us to spend a truly wonderful and enriching time. Google Maps navigation led us onto an unexpectedly difficult road to reach the Accommodation, but from the warm welcome by the madam until our departure, our whole family was deeply moved by their heartfelt hospitality. This is an unforgettable Accommodation we would love to visit again in a different season.

It hadn’t been long since last month’s Kumamoto earthquake, and we weren’t sure if it was appropriate to travel, but we’re truly glad we came. Even my son, who doesn’t like fish, enjoyed the sea bream poêlé, and from the appetizers to dessert and breakfast the next morning, our whole family was very satisfied. Even after returning home, we keep reminiscing about the wonderful food and enjoying happy conversations. We would love to visit again.

After climbing Mt. Inaboshi in Kuju as a couple, we stayed here. It rained throughout the hike and we got quite cold, but after coming down, soaking in the warm Onsen, enjoying our favorite beer, and having a delicious course meal was the best. We were comforted by the warm hospitality of the couple who run this Accommodation. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.
