This time, I stayed with my toy poodle. As soon as we arrived at the parking lot, a staff member came right away and helped carry our luggage on a cart, which was very helpful. Everyone at the front desk was kind, and they were gentle with my dog as well. The complimentary treats were a nice touch. The Room had a clean, Western-style feel, and being able to grind coffee beans with the coffee mill made it feel special. There were also snacks prepared for both people and dogs in the Room, which showed great thoughtfulness. The only concern was that the bedding had an animal-like odor that seemed to have soaked in. I would appreciate deodorizing and sanitizing. At the restaurant, every table had space for dogs, so being able to dine together with my dog was truly wonderful for guests traveling with pets, and we were able to enjoy a special time. My dog happily ate the beef menu at dinner, but the next morning didn’t eat it—perhaps because the meat was a bit tough—which was slightly disappointing. Our meals used high-quality ingredients, and we could enjoy even the low-allergen options with peace of mind, though overall they felt slightly lightly seasoned. The freshly baked bread service was well received. For late-night noodles (yonaki soba), I chose the soy sauce flavor. It was delicious. I was also satisfied with the breakfast buffet. However, since the coffee machine brewed one cup at a time, it tended to get crowded; offering coffee in decanters would make it even more convenient. The large public bath was clean and relaxing, and I also appreciated the free ice pop service after bathing. The dog run even had photo spots where we could capture fun memories. Since all guests were traveling with dogs, conversations naturally started among us; it created a very friendly atmosphere with an appeal you can’t experience at an ordinary Hotel. For drinks at the restaurant, I used Kyoryt Maintenance shareholder benefit vouchers. I personally own a small number of Kyoryt Maintenance shares as well, and after experiencing such a wonderful Hotel firsthand, I genuinely felt glad that I bought shares in this company. It ended up being satisfying not only as an overnight stay but also from a shareholder’s perspective. If only the bedding odor could be improved further it would be even more comfortable; aside from that point I was very satisfied overall and would like to stay again with my dog.

I stayed here on the recommendation of an acquaintance who has visited Karuizawa many times. It was just a few minutes’ walk to Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza, so it was very convenient for exploring the area. The Room and the large public bath were both spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I really enjoyed both meals—they were delicious. I requested the Shuttle Service, and the vehicle was clean and the ride was excellent. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. If I had to mention one thing, it would have been even more comfortable if the TV supported network features. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Karuizawa.

This was a repeat stay following last year. Last year, the Room felt slightly more spacious, so I assumed it had been upgraded. This time, it was the Room I reserved, but it didn’t feel cramped at all. I rented a massage chair and a foot massager, so the area around the desk became difficult to walk through, but that was on me and not an issue. I was able to relax. I was also impressed by the number of power outlets. I also enjoyed breakfast at a leisurely pace—it was delicious. Thank you very much.

I recently stayed for the second time, and it was truly a wonderful Hotel. In addition to the comfortable atmosphere throughout the property and the delicious meals, what impressed me most was the thoughtful attention of all the staff. This trip also served as a celebration of my daughter’s pregnancy, and they kindly prepared separate menu options for her, so we could relax and enjoy our meals with peace of mind. With discreet yet attentive service that anticipated our needs, it became a trip filled with gratitude. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. Thank you!

We were blessed with great weather and enjoyed many activities, including tennis, golf, the Onsen, shopping, and walks. The Hotel staff were very attentive, and we were extremely satisfied. Personally, I’m looking forward to our plans for autumn and to seeing how the large-scale renovation of Karuizawa Prince develops in the coming years. Standard Double (Non-Smoking) – 1 Night This was my second stay. I had been checking availability for months because I really wanted to stay at this Hotel. It’s close to the station and very clean. The bicycle rental is also a great feature. I was also very happy that there is a relaxing floor on the second floor where you can get drinks! I picked up amenities in front of the front desk and checked in. The front desk staff were very kind and courteous, which reminded me again what a great Hotel this is. Even though I stayed alone, the Room was very spacious and spotless! There was plenty of space to move around even with my suitcase open. I could relax comfortably with the large TV, big table, and sofa. I thought it would be nice to have a mirror in the Room so I could do my makeup in good lighting. (Was there a mirror provided? I looked for one but couldn’t find it.) I rented a bicycle, and it was cheaper than renting elsewhere. The bikes were newer than they were a few years ago and easier to ride. When I visit Karuizawa again, I’d love to stay at this Hotel!

We stayed at Karuizawa Prince Hotel East, where we used to come skiing when our children were little, to celebrate our daughter’s university acceptance. The atmosphere was unchanged and full of nostalgia. We were satisfied with everything—the staff’s service, the Onsen, and the meals. We made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

I stayed here in early June. Tucked away behind Karuizawa Suwa Shrine, the lush and quiet surroundings were truly soothing for both body and mind. The friendly staff and the warm welcome from the large bear in the lobby made me smile, and the clean, spacious Room was comfortable and relaxing, with thoughtful attention to detail including amenities. Breakfast featured delicious vegetables, with a choice of mains that felt nourishing and wholesome. I enjoyed it so much that next time I’d love to try dinner as well.

We had a wonderful time with our dog. The meals were delicious. The service was excellent. We were able to spend lots of quality time with our dog. We’d love to come again.

This is a very comfortable and pleasant Hotel. The Hotel is located right in the center of Old Karuizawa, within an easy and enjoyable walking distance for an early-morning breakfast. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, always with a smile. We were upgraded as there was availability, and they even let us check the Room before check-in. There are chairs along the corridor leading to the lobby, making it a nice spot to sit and relax. Thanks to everyone on the staff, we were able to enjoy a truly relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

My sister and her husband from the U.S. visited Japan, and we used this accommodation for a one-night trip with our parents. The maisonette had 3 rooms with baths, each spacious, and the first floor featured a kitchen-equipped dining area and a living room with a fireplace, providing ample space even for 7 people. The center lounge offered alcohol-free drinks from morning to evening, which was perfect for those who enjoy non-alcoholic beverages (laughs). The young staff provided excellent service, while the experienced staff offered solid support when needed. We booked quite early at a very reasonable price; although there was an additional fee for early check-in, we opted for it. Please note that lounge access is available only after check-in. One night felt too short—I’d love to stay 2 or 3 nights next time!

Wanting to refresh away from the everyday hustle, I visited Hacienda Karuizawa on a solo trip from Tokyo by Shinkansen. Despite its unbeatable location—just a 1-minute walk from Karuizawa Station—the moment you open the door, the bustle outside fades away as if it were a lie, and you’re enveloped in refined fragrance and calm. In this intimate Accommodation with only nine Rooms (the interiors supervised by The Conran Shop are truly wonderful), it’s easy to unwind—and best of all, as a guest benefit, I could use the “Aqua Ignis Garden Spa” and the “Share Lounge” free of charge. After gently loosening up in the spa’s sauna and open-air bath, I spent time in the Share Lounge reading whatever book I liked… I was able to fully enjoy blissful moments undisturbed by anyone. The staff’s sense of distance is perfect as well; their warm hospitality made me feel welcome even as a solo traveler. Beyond how comfortable the Room is, having full access to both the spa and lounge adds up to an experience that is unquestionably “worth more than the price.” Even with such excellent access from Tokyo, there’s nowhere else that lets you reset so deeply and truly indulge yourself. This is my precious hideaway—one I want to return to again as a reward for myself, in every season.

I made a Reservation because this Accommodation was reasonably priced and fairly close for sightseeing in Karuizawa. On arrival, there was welcome coffee from Mikado Coffee, and amenities were provided as well. Please note that pajamas are not provided. The Room was spacious and even had two TVs. I was also happy to find Mikado Coffee drip packs in the Room. A few things stood out: the Room felt a bit dated, I would have preferred newer slippers, and I saw a small ant while taking a bath—so it would be great if there were screens or something similar (it wasn’t so bad that it ruined the stay). That said, the breakfast included was very luxurious and exceeded the price! Since Karuizawa has stylish cafes, I think it would be nice to have a No Meals Included Plan as well.
