It was great that the Hotel is close to the station and that parking was available at a low cost. The staff were very courteous, which made me feel at ease. I only realized after arriving that there is a large public bath, but it was convenient because you can go back and forth in loungewear and slippers. There were manga lined up outside the bath area, so I ended up reading “The Eternal Zero” straight through from Volume 1 to Volume 5. I stayed in a non-smoking single Room, and it felt clean.
What I especially liked was the breakfast buffet. The selection is average, but every dish was delicious. In my experience, buffet meals at a Business Hotel usually include both good dishes and mediocre ones, but everything at Mark One Abiko tasted great. After breakfast, we drove to Michi-no-Eki Shonan and walked about half of Lake Teganuma. It made for a very fulfilling weekend.
