This was our family’s first stay, and it was wonderful. With my birthday coming up the following week, we happened to mention it at check-in, and they surprised me at dinner with live music and a dessert—plus sweets as a gift—to celebrate! We hadn’t informed them in advance about the Reserver, so I was truly touched by the surprise. Thank you very much. All of the staff were professional—from guiding our car on arrival to explaining the Hotel, as well as the lounge and restaurant teams—and they made our stay comfortable from start to finish. The housekeeping staff also greeted us warmly. The Facility was just as beautiful as in the photos, and everything—from the amenities to the in-room sweets and beverages—was thoughtfully selected, which really conveyed their hospitality. The restaurant meals for both breakfast and dinner were vibrant, uncompromising, and absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed by this top-class Accommodation. We will definitely return. Thank you again.

We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Because she has allergies and we were visiting for her birthday, we exchanged emails in advance. You responded so kindly and thoughtfully that we were able to arrive with no worries at all. It was raining on the day, but you came out to greet us with an umbrella, carried our heavy luggage to the front desk, and even brought it up to our Room while we were checking in. From the very beginning, we felt reassured and could truly sense your outstanding hospitality. The tea and shaved ice served at check-in were also delicious. The Room was even more wonderful than in the photos. The contrast between the lush green bamboo grove beyond the window and the beautifully shaped white bathtub was breathtaking, and we were able to relax in a refined, calm space. Although it should have been hot outside, once we soaked in the open-air bath we didn’t feel the heat at all—it was incredibly pleasant. Bathing while watching a butterfly resting on leaves right in front of us felt truly extraordinary. Dinner allergy accommodations were perfect. Even with allergen ingredients removed, you ensured each dish still looked just as impressive as others, so my girlfriend could eat with peace of mind. Everything tasted amazing, and I ended up drinking quite a lot. The truffle rice was especially delicious—I had seconds—and I now regret declining when you kindly offered me a third bowl… I later tried to order truffle rice balls via room service at night but service had already ended, so I wished I had eaten more then (laugh). It seemed everyone had been informed about my surprise plan as well; you supported me smoothly throughout so I could prepare within time and carry out the surprise without her noticing. The charlotte cake I requested was also delicious. Thank you so much. To sum it up: choosing Miwa Yugawara for this birthday trip was absolutely the right decision. Every staff member was wonderful and highly service-minded, and I’m truly glad we stayed here. We soothed our fatigue in the open-air bath, felt satisfied with the delicious meals, and your thoughtful care healed our hearts. Thank you again for everything. We look forward to visiting again. Oh—and breakfast was delicious!

The night view was beautiful, and we could see Atami Castle illuminated from our Room! The bath in the Room was also great, and breakfast was delicious! At first, we missed the road leading into the Ryokan and drove past it. Going back and taking the uphill road from the main street was a bit nerve-racking! The service was excellent, and we had a very comfortable stay!

After staying in Toi the previous night, we took it easy, but this day brought such heavy rain that a weather warning was issued. There was nowhere to stop along the way with our dog, so we arrived early. While we were waiting in the car, they kindly let us use the dog run on the first floor a little ahead of time, which truly helped us. All of the staff were very pleasant. This time we had our meal in the Room, and the Asian staff member who brought it to us spoke excellent Japanese and served us with a constant smile. There is also an open-air bath outside; the water was soft and the temperature was just right, so we went in several times. Unfortunately, because of the weather, the view was misty and hard to see—if it had been clear, I’m sure it would have been wonderful. That was our only disappointment, so we’d like to visit again when the weather is better.

Everything—from the cuisine and the Onsen to the private dining room prepared for our meals—was wonderful, and we were able to truly relax from the bottom of our hearts. The food in particular was exceptional; each dish reflected careful craftsmanship, leaving us deeply satisfied. Above all, the Onsen was truly outstanding, and we enjoyed it three times during our stay. The water felt wonderfully gentle on the skin, bringing a soothing warmth that seemed to melt away tension from deep within. We were able to fully savor the blessings of Yugawara’s hot springs. The comforting afterglow lingered long after bathing—it was a genuinely healing experience. Thanks to you, this became a very memorable stay. We would love to visit again.

Despite the inconvenience, you kindly provided Shuttle Service for one member of our family. Thank you as well for preparing such a wonderful Room for us. We arrived a little early, but relaxed in the lobby while enjoying shaved ice. That kind thoughtfulness made us very happy. This is an old but truly lovely Hotel, quietly nestled in the mountains of Atami. The soft, high-quality Onsen is outstanding. The building does show its age, and there is also an area where the owner lives, but that is more than made up for by the wonderful Onsen and meals. Fresh sashimi. Delicious fresh salmon roe. Steak and sukiyaki, and a great variety of desserts, fruit, and ice cream—everything was very satisfying. The amenities are plentiful as well—both in the Room and at the large public bath: DHC face & hand soap, gel lotion, cleansing oil, body & hand milk, milky gel, and hair milk, plus KOSE shampoo, conditioner, and body soap— an excellent selection. There is also a pool that can be used year-round, which is great for children. It really felt like what you would expect from Livemax. Considering how travel costs have risen in recent years, this resort offers excellent value for money. Many of the staff are from overseas, but they are well trained so we felt at ease and very comfortable throughout our stay. Whenever we want good hot springs water or delicious sashimi again, we will come back to stay here. I would highly recommend this very comfortable Hotel to many people. From the phone call before our stay, the service was very courteous and pleasant. Many of the staff seemed young, but everyone was wonderfully attentive, and we were able to relax throughout our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and it was also lovely to move to the lounge and enjoy dessert while taking in the view outside. We would definitely like to stay again.

The bath was great.

This time, we stayed with the goal of relaxing and enjoying the Onsen and delicious meals. In a word: it was the best. The Room had gentle tones that immediately made us feel at ease. At first glance it looks simple, but there is clear attention to detail throughout—doors, ceiling, walls—making it a truly wonderful space. The lounge offered a wide variety of alcoholic drinks and soft drinks, along with very tasty sweets. We could relax on the indoor sofas and chairs, and on the terrace we were even able to enjoy drinks while soaking in the foot bath. Since there was an open-air bath in our Room, we were able to use it many times during our stay and were completely satisfied. The meals were great, especially because they used plenty of local ingredients. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and the dishes respected their natural flavors—so delicious without needing heavy seasoning to mask anything. We heard that both the chef and pastry chef previously worked at the Imperial Hotel, and from amuse-bouche to dessert everything looked beautiful and tasted amazing. We also enjoyed their pie-wrapped dish they hope to make a signature menu item—the pastry was crisp and the sauce was excellent. If the filling or sauce changes with the seasons, it would give us even more reason to return. Although they had just opened, all staff members provided outstanding service: thoughtful attention, warm smiles, perfect timing for each course, checking in with us along the way—we were able to hear various stories as well and spent a wonderful time. The manager, chef, and pastry chef also came by to greet us, which made dinner even more enjoyable. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the courteous send-off at check-out, we were fully satisfied until the very end. Even on our drive home my wife and I kept saying how much fun it was—and that we definitely want to come back again. We would love to visit again soon.
