After our trip to Furano, we found this Hotel while looking for a place to stay on the way home.
Because it’s in the mountains, we were a bit worried about the drive, but it wasn’t far from downtown Ashibetsu, so we arrived without any trouble.
We expected an older Facility, but once inside it felt completely modern.
Everything was spotless, and there were lots of features younger guests would enjoy.
Detox water stations from various brands, a space filled with books, areas to relax and chat, a guest-only lounge, wall art, and exhibits about Yutani Onsen and local coal mine history—there was always something interesting to see.
The owl artwork on the wall was especially cute; if there had been any related goods for sale, I would have bought them.
After getting out of the bath area, I was disappointed that one spot had that owl covered by a notice—I really wanted to see it.
Our Room had a classic Japanese style but was very clean.
The tatami mats were fresh and green-blue and felt great.
It seemed that the open-air bath and the pot bath used Onsen water.
Unfortunately it rained at night, but soaking in the Onsen under cover while listening to the rain was truly relaxing.
I feel like I’ve made a connection with Ashibetsu as well—I genuinely want to visit again.
I’d definitely recommend this Accommodation to friends and acquaintances.
Thank you very much for your hospitality.
