The room lighting can be comfortably adjusted with spotlights, which was great. There are plenty of power outlets, and the long, narrow desk is also convenient. The lounge drinks and breakfast are very well stocked, and access to the streetcar is excellent. There are also many appealing shops nearby, which was a plus.

A quiet, relaxing Hotel with just 10 Rooms. The Rooms are spacious, and the staff are wonderful. Of course, the Japanese-Western fusion cuisine is truly satisfying—you can taste the quality of the ingredients. Location: Very convenient and close to Hakodate’s highlights (Ropeway [Mt. Hakodate] to historic buildings [Motomachi] to the Bay Area, etc.). *Some guests may notice minor details, but for us (an elderly couple), it was a very satisfying stay. *Thank you very much.

I stayed for two nights on my first trip to Hakodate. The view was amazing, and everything—from the service to the Room—was excellent. The Hotel also offers loaner bicycles, and there are plenty of nearby options such as car rentals and convenience stores. It’s also within walking distance of the station. There’s a morning market just a short walk away, so I had breakfast there. When I arrived in heavy rain, they immediately lent me a towel, which really warmed my heart. Even though I went in and out many times a day, they always greeted me with a smile, saying “Have a nice day” and “Welcome back.” There was no waiting for the elevator, which made everything comfortable. The Room was spotless as well. This is a Hotel I would definitely want to stay at again on my next trip. Thank you very much!

This was my first trip to Hakodate. There is only one direct flight a day from Nagoya, and I was incredibly lucky to get a ticket. Visiting a new place for the first time is so exciting. The Room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a panoramic view of Mt. Hakodate. The space was generous, and the bathtub and sink were spacious as well. The lighting switches were thoughtfully placed throughout, making everything very convenient—it was almost too comfortable! Dinner at Kita Jin (booked separately) was also excellent: premium Genghis Khan in a private room, relaxed and delicious. Breakfast was around 8:00, and we were seated right away. We came without much prior knowledge and were amazed by the variety—and even more by the quality of every dish. My spouse and I travel all over the whole country, and this may have been our best breakfast ever. Personally, I loved the eel snack with tea, dim sum, sashimi, chiffon cake, and egg tarts. What stayed with us most from this trip was meeting so many wonderful people in Hakodate: The kind driver with a great smile on the airport limousine bus. At lunchtime at Lucky Pierrot near the station—busy as it was—a female staff member still let us draw an Ichiban Kuji lottery ticket and gave us a pin badge with a big smile. At NIPPONIA Hotel Hakodate Port Town on our first day—a female staff member kindly explained everything and gave us a hand-drawn illustrated map of nearby spots within walking distance. On an evening sightseeing taxi tour to see Mt. Hakodate’s night view—a female driver born in Hakodate from Donan Taxi carefully explained local history, the Western-style houses in Motomachi, and the origins of Soma-tei. The staff who made our motorboat cruise even more enjoyable under clear skies the next day. At lunch near the station at Uni Specialty Shop Yoichiya—a female employee whose attentiveness and refined service truly impressed us. And above all, at Century Marina’s front desk—the female staff member who kindly explained everything for our first stay left a wonderful impression with her polite service; of course, the male staff member at checkout was also outstanding. The quick yet courteous service at Kita Jin was excellent as well—we are truly grateful to have stayed at this Hotel. It was an intense 2-night/3-day trip to Hakodate, but seeing everyone working so hard to make their city shine really moved us—it looked genuinely inspiring. We will definitely come again. I truly fell in love with historic Hakodate from the bottom of my heart!

The Facility is clean, and having an Onsen is a nice touch—it helps you relax and recover from fatigue. The Room is also clean, and I was able to get plenty of sleep. The front desk staff member was from Nepal, but their Japanese was excellent and communication was smooth. Their smile was wonderful as well. Thank you very much.

The day before my stay, I noticed a mistake in my Reservation and contacted them. They responded politely, explained any additional charges, and I was able to stay without any issues. The cleaning staff also greeted me with a smile, which made it a wonderful trip. I would like to stay again!

I stayed for five nights and was able to relax in the Onsen. I love the atmosphere of Hakodate and visit a few times a year. I used to regularly stay at S or R near the warehouse district, but after trying this Hotel, I found it very reasonably priced and the breakfast (both Japanese and Western) was excellent. The staff were also very kind, which made me feel at ease. The large public bath has free-flowing natural hot spring water, and there is also a sauna—no wonder it’s becoming so popular. I will be staying again from October 4th to 8th.

After a tiring train journey, it was a big help that the hotel was right in front of the station. Since I booked the Room-assigned Plan, I was nervous when I went in, but it turned out to be a twin Room, so it felt spacious and not cramped like a single—really great. I’d like to stay again next year.

This was my first stay, and I stayed in a wonderful Room renovated from a warehouse, where I could enjoy a Scandinavian atmosphere. Breakfast was also very stylish—cheese, bread, soup, and fruit—and I really enjoyed it. During my stay, the Hakodate fireworks festival happened to be on, so I was able to enjoy both the night sky and the night view of Hakodate. Over two days, I also went golfing during the daytime; it’s about 30–40 minutes from the Hotel, so I felt it’s perfect for a sightseeing + golf trip as well. All of the Hotel staff were very kind and attentive, and I truly appreciate all the explanations and advice they provided. I would definitely like to stay again.

This time we stayed in a special Room with a private open-air bath. The water temperature was comfortable 24 hours a day, the tub was spacious enough for two people to relax, and the cypress wood rim added a warm touch—I think I soaked in it about ten times. We also had three bath towels each, plus a wide towel rack to hang them, which made everything stress-free. One suggestion: I used the open-air bath around 7 a.m., but the direct sunlight was very strong. It would be nice to have something like bamboo blinds to block the sun. We also used the large public bath, and as with other Kyoritsu Resort properties such as Dormy Inn, it had plenty of washing space and was easy to use. And when it comes to Kyoritsu Resort, there’s the late-night ramen service. Since this is Hakodate, they offer salt ramen in addition to soy sauce ramen. We expected breakfast—known for being popular—to involve waiting in line, but thanks to the special Room privileges they reserved our preferred seating (such as semi-private booths or window seats) at a designated time. That was great. Of course, the meal selection lived up to its reputation. All drinks in the Room were free—including whisky—and there was also a sparkling water maker. Overall it was excellent. The price is high, but given how well-equipped everything is, we felt it was worth it. We’d love to stay again if possible.

I’m always satisfied. Given that it’s an expensive Room, you might say that’s to be expected—but consistently meeting those expectations is actually proof of very high quality. However, there’s one point I’d like to mention for everyone. There is a covered walkway to Hakodate Station, but there are no walls. So during typhoons or blizzards with strong winds, the location is only “better than most.” For normal rain, it’s not a problem.

The staff were very helpful. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

I stayed here for the first time on my return to Hakodate after a long time, choosing it for its great access and high ratings. It’s conveniently located just steps from Hakodate Station, with the morning market right in front, and I loved the Room, the view, and the bed. The Onsen open-air bath was also wonderful. If you don’t need a lavish breakfast buffet, this Hotel is a great choice. One small point: I unfortunately didn’t like the coffee from the coffee machine in the 17th-floor lounge—it tasted surprisingly strong. Have the staff tried it? The lounge atmosphere is very nice, but I couldn’t fully relax there. It might be nice to have some refreshing drinks available after bathing. Tea bags for drinking in the Room were available near the elevators, but I would have appreciated drip coffee as well.

I stayed for two nights on a business trip and made a Reservation. The cost was about JPY 17,500 for two nights, and the Room was surprisingly a twin with breakfast included. The building is a bit old, but the inside is very clean. The twin Room was spacious and spotless; it was a smoking Room, but there was no unpleasant odor. The bathroom is a unit bath, but the shower water pressure was strong. There was an air purifier, and although the air conditioner is an older style, it kept the Room cool and comfortable during my summer stay. Breakfast is buffet-style—I expected something simple, but the seafood rice bowl and curry were delicious and I was very satisfied. The front desk staff were kind, and the late-night complimentary salt ramen was also great. Above all, I really appreciated the relatively large flat parking lot with free in-and-out access.

We had a wonderful time at this excellent Hotel. The Onsen was very relaxing, and although the weather was a bit poor, we would like to visit again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Above all, the location is excellent. The Red Brick Warehouses are just nearby. You can walk to the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway station, and it’s also a quick taxi ride. There is Ramen Ajisai right in front of the entrance. The bath was clean, and the hair dryers included Panasonic and Dyson. We were also able to try out different shampoo and conditioner. After the bath, there were probiotic drinks and ice pops. We enjoyed salmon roe at breakfast and were very satisfied. My husband especially enjoyed the desserts. We’d love to stay again.

The location is excellent, right next to Sapporo Station. There are convenience stores nearby, as well as the morning market and easy access to buses and trains. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. The staff were courteous and left a great impression.

I had business in Hokuto City, and until now I had stayed at a Hotel near Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station. This was my first time staying around Hakodate Station, and even though I’m not confident driving, the parking lot and the Hotel were easy to find since they face a main road. The Room was compact but perfectly comfortable, and having two pillows provided was a welcome touch. The breakfast buffet also offered a great variety, making this one of the Accommodations I’d like to stay at again.

This was the best of the three Hotels I stayed at during my 3-night, 4-day trip to Hakodate. There was a drink bar, the Room was clean, and they kindly stored my luggage before check-in. There are nearby options like Seicomart and McDonald’s, and the tram stop is close; I also think Hakodate Station is within walking distance. I would like to stay here again.

I stayed here to visit Hakodate Racecourse. I returned because I stayed last year and it was excellent. Among the major Hotels in Yunokawa Onsen, this one seems to be the closest to the racecourse. It’s about a 15-minute walk, and there’s also a streetcar, so it’s convenient for getting into the city as well. There are also a convenience store, COOP, and a drugstore nearby. In any case, there are very few Rooms, so it never feels crowded. The large public bath is also quiet. The property is connected to Takubokutei, so you can use Takubokutei’s large public bath and shop as well. (Guests staying at Takubokutei cannot use Kaikyo no Kaze.) The Room was simply spacious. Even the standard type felt very comfortable. This time I chose a Room with a private bath, and that bath was outstanding—spacious with great water quality. Having two sinks was also convenient. Even the tissue box was full-sized like at home. The only disappointment was that both the Room window and the bathroom window were dirty, so I couldn’t clearly enjoy the view through them. Since we were on a high floor, cleaning the windows may be difficult, but I had been looking forward to “a panoramic view of the Tsugaru Strait,” so it fell slightly short of expectations. This time we booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, and both meals were truly excellent. There was an abundant selection of Hokkaido ingredients with plenty of variety on the menu, plus several kinds of desserts—I ate so much that I didn’t need lunch. Meal times were scheduled in advance as well, so there was no crowding. Next year I’d like to stay again with my daughter (three of us). Also starting next year my son is scheduled to be transferred to Sapporo, so I’d like to recommend this place to him too.
