We stayed for two nights with three generations, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied—not only with the magnificent views from the lobby and our Room, but also with the wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. The staff’s attentive, warm service and smiles were especially memorable, and we felt a gentle, clear, pleasant atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Shizuoka has many sightseeing spots, including a history museum that children can enjoy and Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo (this zoo has many thoughtful touches and is truly recommended), so every generation can have a great time. After check-out, we also went to Shimizu Port to enjoy dining and shopping. We visited several attractions including Toshogu Shrine, but there was so much to see that next time we would like to stay at this Hotel again and take more time to fully enjoy both the places we visited this time as well. We stayed with my parents, my spouse and I, our three children, and one dog. We arrived after 2:00 pm, and they kindly allowed us to check in. We stayed in two Rooms, Seiran and Gekpaku, and breakfast was served for all seven of us together in Seiran. For dinner, the seven of us gathered around the irori hearth to grill the ingredients we brought, enjoying a relaxed time together. It was also fun to use the Tuk-Tuk Shuttle Service to Mochimune Station and Mochimune Minato Onsen. The grassy garden and cool earthen-floor area were comfortable for our dog as well, making this a pleasant trip for the whole family. We would love to visit again in a different season.

Although it was a bit far from the station, there was a convenience store on the ground floor, which was very convenient. Facing a main road also made it easy to find. There is no large public bath or Onsen, but the in-room shower had been replaced with a Mirable showerhead, which felt new and nice. The amenity buffet was so well stocked that you could arrive empty-handed without any issues, and there were also pillows to choose from, so I could relax comfortably in an environment close to what I’m used to at home. On the front desk floor, there was a tea dispenser available at all times, and until 6:00 p.m., dumplings were provided as sweets. In addition, several kinds of obanzai and one alcoholic drink were served free of charge until 9:00 p.m., and I felt the complimentary services were very thorough. I booked the No Meals Included Plan but purchased a breakfast voucher on site and had breakfast as well. There was an excellent variety of Shizuoka-style items such as tuna sashimi, whitebait (shirasu), horse mackerel takikomi rice, and grilled eel (kabayaki), more than enough to leave me fully satisfied. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that there wasn’t an ice bucket provided in the room, so I ended up using paper cups at the ice machine, which was slightly inconvenient. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay.

It was a very comfortable Hotel. The staff were kind, and the Room had a calm atmosphere, which was great. One disappointing thing was that the refrigerator did not get cold at all.

Only one drink of either beer or hoppy was included, but the all-you-can-drink alcohol option was great. Since we arrived late, it was disappointing that we couldn’t have the curry and natto (?). I wish they had refilled them as well. Also, the Room was spacious and clean.

Rather than just being near Miho no Matsubara, it felt like there was a Ryokan right within it. You can easily take a walk to Miho no Matsubara and the beach. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we enjoyed the scent of hinoki in the in-room bath. If I have the chance, I would like to stay again.

From check-in to dining service, the hospitality was excellent and we were very satisfied. The wonderful service made the delicious food even better. The fish, meat, and vegetables were all high quality, and the dashi was flawlessly tasty. The matcha beer, Hyuganatsu beer, and sake (Nihonto) were also great. It was a very good Ryokan that I can recommend to anyone. If I have a chance to visit Shizuoka again, I’d like to stay here again.

It was a wonderful room. By the time we checked in, the hinoki bath was already filled, and we could soak as many times as we liked at any time until check-out. The room was also very spacious, and our child happily ran around. The bathing facilities were very large as well, with several types of open-air baths. There were so many great options that we couldn’t decide whether to use the bath in our room or go to the large public bath. The ganbanyoku (hot stone sauna), which is often an extra charge elsewhere, was included in the accommodation fee here, so it felt like excellent value for money. Our child was obsessed with the claw machines. Some could be played for 10 yen, 20 yen, or 30 yen per try, so while we usually can’t let them play that much, here they could really enjoy it to their heart’s content. They even won about 10 packs of Pokémon cards and were thrilled. We usually stay at places with buffet-style breakfast, but it was nice to have a set meal style once in a while. There are various outdoor areas where kids can play too. However, many facilities are only open on weekends and holidays, so that’s something to keep in mind. We stayed on Sunday, so our child got plenty of playtime and was very satisfied. We arrived around 2:00 PM, but rather than “relaxing,” it turned into a happily busy stay—“I want to go play outside!” “I want to take a bath!” “I want to try the claw machines!” “I also want to use the bath in our room!” It’s a place both adults and children can enjoy—we’d love to stay again.
