I stayed with my elderly mother. After letting them know in advance, they prepared a Room close to the bath and even provided a legless chair, which we truly appreciated. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and each one was delicious—we were very satisfied. My mother was especially happy to enjoy many different dishes little by little. The bath was a milky, cloudy hot spring, with the temperature just right, and it felt wonderful no matter how many times we went in. We were able to relax and spend quality time together as parent and child while warming up slowly. Most Accommodations provide only one small towel, but here there was an extra small towel in addition to the amenity set (with towels), which I found very convenient. The experienced staff had a calm, reassuring “true hotel professional” manner, and their explanations about the facilities were very thorough. The international staff also made a great effort to explain things in Japanese, and their friendly smiles left a strong impression. I think this is an Accommodation with warm hospitality that is also considerate for families traveling with elderly relatives. I would love to visit again with my mother.

This was my second stay. Last time, due to an unexpected matter, I couldn’t have breakfast, so this time I stayed until just before checkout. Even though it was a weekday, the Accommodation was almost fully booked. However, I was able to use the private bath with hardly any waiting. The in-room bath also had a green sulfur hot spring with mineral deposits floating in it. At first the bathwater was very hot, but you adjusted the flow of the water for me, and after that I could enjoy it comfortably. Thank you very much. I would love to visit again.

The weather wasn’t great, but the view from the window was wonderful, and I had a comfortable stay. The meals looked beautiful and tasted great, and I really enjoyed them. I was surprised by the afternoon-tea-style presentation. Towels are provided at the Onsen, so you can go without bringing anything. You can wear the samue anywhere in the building, which makes it very relaxing. The samue is comfortable to wear, and it has pockets so you can carry your phone with you.

I tried visiting for a day-trip Onsen twice but it was too crowded both times, so this time I finally managed to secure a one-night stay. The bath in my Room was the best I’ve ever experienced at any Accommodation. My muscles weren’t in great shape, but they recovered significantly after just one night. It was still late summer, but the Onsen heat seemed very strong and the Room floor was pleasantly warm. The staff were so considerate that I almost felt bad for the trouble. In winter, this would be especially appreciated. The only disappointment was that there was just one vending machine for cold drinks after bathing, so I couldn’t get what I wanted, and there were no ice cream or other frozen treats for sale. Next time, I’d like to try a Multiple Night Stay and fully enjoy the sulfur-rich waters.

The Onsen was the best part—absolutely wonderful. The Room was clean and very functional, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I’d love to stay again as soon as possible, but there was heavy fog on Irohazaka with almost no visibility, which was scary. The expressway also had torrential rain with near-zero visibility, so I’d like to visit again on a clear day with good weather.

I stayed one night on 8/23 with breakfast included. The men’s bath has a spacious indoor bath, and the open-air bath is designed to feel very open, with the outside scenery visible up close. The sulfur scent enhances the Onsen atmosphere, and it’s such pleasant water that you’ll want to soak again and again. At around 1,500 m elevation, it stays very cool in summer and is comfortable to spend time here. I’d like to visit again in a different season. It seems that Shogi title matches have been held here many times as well, so Shogi fans might enjoy that too.

Whenever we visited Oku-Nikko and Yumoto, we would stop by Senjogahara or the ranch, and this Accommodation had always caught our eye. After turning 60, my spouse and I stayed here for the first time. The Onsen and the breakfast and dinner were wonderful, and it was a relaxing summer holiday to see many couples around our age dining in the restaurant. After ringing a bear bell and walking around Senjogahara for over an hour, we headed to Nikko Toshogu Shrine!

The meals were absolutely delicious. Everything we ate felt carefully prepared, and it was truly wonderful. Breakfast was also excellent across the board and exceeded our expectations. The bath was great as well. We would definitely love to visit again!

My first trip to Nikko felt far from Osaka, but I was finally able to visit Ritz, which I had wanted to go to for so long. It was such an extraordinary experience and incredibly refreshing. The weather wasn’t great, but the temperature was 10°C lower than in Osaka, which made it very comfortable. The Room was beautiful and had a view of Lake Chuzenji. Above all, the Onsen was the best! At first, I thought the sulfur scent was quite strong when I stepped in, but the water left my skin silky smooth—I wanted to soak in it every day. That night we had burgers via in-room dining; they were hearty, delicious, and left us completely satisfied! I also chose the Japanese breakfast I had been looking forward to, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. We used the shuttle bus as well. I thought I might get carsick on Irohazaka, but the driver’s careful and skillful driving really impressed me. It became a truly wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

The exclusive all-you-can-drink lounge for Stays guests and the service allowing you to take desserts and drinks to your Room after dinner were much appreciated. Dinner was well thought out, with a perfect balance between the course and semi-buffet, and the tuna sushi was delicious, leading me to have seconds multiple times. The effort put into various services throughout the Facility was evident, making the experience very pleasant. The Onsen was not too hot, just right for me, allowing me to enjoy long soaks multiple times.

An Accommodation on the shores of Lake Chuzenji in Oku-Nikko. We stayed here as a base for trekking routes to Kotoku Marsh, Yudaki Falls, and Ryuzu Falls. From the drink service in the lobby onward, it is a very relaxing Accommodation. We were also very satisfied with the Onsen and the meals.

It rained unfortunately, but first of all, the staff were wonderful. As soon as we entered, we found a board with our dog’s name on it. When we tried to take a photo, they made a sound from behind to get our dog to look toward the camera, spoke gently to our dog, and guided us smoothly—it really felt like their training is thorough. The Room was spacious, had no noticeable odors at all, was very well cleaned, and felt comfortable! Although the building itself is old, it didn’t feel that way at all. The meals were buffet-style and everything was delicious—especially the yuba (tofu skin), which was so good I went back for seconds (and more)! There was also a buffet for dogs; there weren’t many options, but it was more than enough! Our dog seemed to love something like tomato soup and drank it eagerly! During the meal, a staff member gently said to our dog, “Eat lots,” which warmed my heart! The bath was relaxing, and we had lots of fun at the indoor dog run—completely satisfied! Most of all, we visited for our dog’s birthday trip, and they gave us an assortment of fruit like a birthday plate!! It had a chocolate mousse cake on it so it wasn’t for dogs, but I truly appreciated the thoughtfulness. It was my first time staying at an Accommodation that did something like this for us—I was really moved!! Thank you so much! We will definitely come again!

The meals, the room, and the staff were all excellent.

I have been longing for the autumn leaves of Lake Chuzenji (Chūzenji) for 10 years. Moreover, that time is my birthday! But it's so hard to get a reservation. This time, when I happened to check, it was available!? Surely there was a last-minute cancellation. I hurriedly made a reservation. All the staff at the property were smiling and cheerful, with excellent hospitality. The futon was so fluffy, I couldn't help but dive in! The bath was amazing, and the food was excellent. I was surprised at how delicious the Nikko pork was. I thought Tokyo X was supreme, but this was great too! As soon as I got home, I made a soy milk hot pot with Tokyo X. It was so delicious! The recommended sake was also very tasty, and even my wife, who doesn't usually drink sake, gulped it down. Breakfast refills were free, and I ended up having three bowls. I woke up early to take a bath, photographed the full bloom of autumn leaves while basking in the morning sun, and took another bath until just before checkout... I think I went in about five times in total? The water was truly wonderful, and I could stay in it forever. It seems to have become very popular after being featured on TV. I was really happy to be able to stay. Thank you very much.

This was my first stay after the reopening. Everything was very clean except for the large public bath area, but there were a few drawbacks. There isn’t much signage inside the building, so it was hard to find the large public bath at first. The lettering on the shampoo and other bottles is small, which may be difficult for older guests to read at a glance. Perhaps because fashion tattoos are allowed in the large public bath, there were some inconsiderate guests—such as reserving spots by leaving belongings in the washing area, or soaking in the tub with long hair left down while brushing their teeth for a long time—which made sharing the bath unpleasant. The milky white sulfur hot spring water felt wonderful, but it was disappointing that the open-air bath had fallen leaves and looked unclean. The welcome coffee was delicious. The Western-style meals were also excellent! It was great that soft drinks and alcoholic beverages at dinner were all-you-can-drink and included in the Accommodation rate. The Room had been renovated and was very clean! The key card system and air conditioning are new and comfortable. However, it wasn’t obvious that the light switch is on the bedside table next to the bed, so an explanation would be helpful. I also liked that the provided refrigerator is a two-door type. There’s only one place to hang wet towels (by the sink), so I wished there were a towel rack stand like many Accommodations have. If three people stay in a twin Room, there is no extra bed provided, so this time we stayed in a king Room and slept side by side together. That kind of setup can be fun once in a while. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were also very kind and helpful overall. All things considered, it’s a wonderful Hotel that I would like to stay at again.

We stayed as a family of three. The surroundings were wonderful, and we were very satisfied with the Onsen and the meals. Our child has a big appetite, so we weren’t sure at first, but it was more than enough. Unexpectedly, we saw five wild deer on the way to the Hotel.

We stayed one night with breakfast and dinner included as a family of three. The location is quiet, and the building and Room are clean and not particularly old. However, it seems the property was originally a retreat facility, so even though it is called a Hotel, there is no shop or entertainment Facility. There are also no convenience stores or drugstores nearby. The meals were very delicious, but they were served as a kaiseki-style course rather than a buffet, with dishes brought out in order from appetizers to dessert. Meal times were fixed (breakfast at 7:30 and dinner at 18:30). Dinner in particular was quite early for us, and we couldn’t finish everything because we weren’t hungry enough. The chef seemed to be of Arab background, but both the food and service were excellent. The bath water is natural Onsen and was wonderful. The bathing area isn’t large, but even with six people using the washing area, the showers were manageable. As for the Room, if I had to mention something minor, one of the small light bulbs didn’t turn on. There is air conditioning (central system), but even in August it was cool at night, so we could sleep with it off. Overall it was clean and pleasant; however, not being able to choose meal times felt like having to fit the Hotel’s schedule. It seemed there were several groups staying, but only one other group besides us had breakfast and dinner included; most guests appeared to be No Meals Included. If you stay No Meals Included, please note that most restaurants along the lakeside close by late afternoon. There are also cup noodles available in the vending machine on the first floor.
