I stayed at Dormy Inn Aomori on a solo trip. I often use a Business Hotel when traveling alone, but this Hotel was far too wonderful to be called just a Business Hotel. First, the breakfast: a buffet with many local dishes—I ended up eating more than I should in the morning. Next, the baths: the water was very pleasant, and there is also an open-air bath and a sauna. I was disappointed to see a foreign parent and child soaking and throwing towels in the tub, but aside from that I could relax at ease. It was also fun to enjoy the complimentary ice cream while looking at the night view after bathing, and the late-night soba service was great as well. With smaller noodles and a light broth, even an elderly woman like me could enjoy it.
It’s about a 7-minute walk from Aomori Station. The route is straight so it’s easy not to get lost, and it was convenient that there is an airport bus stop right in front of the Hotel. The male front desk staff were also very kind. Overall I was extremely satisfied except for a faint smell of cigarette smoke in my Room. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.
