At dinner, the proprietress came to speak with us, and when we mentioned our 30th wedding anniversary, she gave us a wonderful handwritten gift that truly moved us. We were so happy. We have it proudly displayed at home. The unexpected present became a very special memory.\nThe views from the Room and the dining area were exceptional as well.\nAt breakfast, we also had the chance to chat with a staff member from our hometown. As a devoted fan of Toba Grand Hotel—and as “Donguri Captain”—please allow me to share a few ideas with heartfelt appreciation: 1) Extend lounge hours (until 11:00 p.m.) Spending time in that sophisticated lounge is truly special. If guests could enjoy complimentary drinks until 11:00 p.m., the evening would become an even more memorable experience. 2) Revitalize the retro game arcade & festival-style corner If an energetic “festival corner” were added to that nostalgic and welcoming game arcade area, it would surely become a signature spot where both adults and children—across generations—could have an amazing time together! 3) Seasonal limited-time “all-you-can-eat fruit” buffet feature For example, “all-you-can-eat strawberries” in early spring or “all-you-can-eat melon” in summer. Having seasonal highlight events at the buffet would help attract repeat guests throughout the year and generate even more buzz—I’m confident it would be a great success. Of course, I fully understand that your staff’s working environment and operational considerations must come first. With that in mind, I would be grateful if you might keep these ideas in mind simply as one fan’s dream of “how wonderful it would be if this became possible.” With Toba Grand Hotel’s potential—and the passion of your entire team—I truly believe you will continue to be the region’s undisputed number-one Hotel. We stayed here with four adults—my parents and us as a couple. This was our second visit, and we were able to relax thanks to the seasonal cuisine and wide selection of drinks. Since everyone has different preferences, the all-inclusive plan made it easy for all of us to enjoy both the meals and the baths, making it a truly wonderful trip.

I stayed here after visiting Ise Shrine. A typhoon was approaching and it was raining, but it was disappointing that, due to the building’s layout, I couldn’t pull my car up right next to the entrance. Because of the typhoon, there were strong winds and heavy rain all night, and the window design made the whistling wind and rain noise noticeable. The Room felt a bit dated, but the bath was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and kind, which made up for the tough beef and dried-out yellowtail at dinner. If it hadn’t been priced for Silver Week, it would have been a perfect 100 out of 100.

We stayed as a couple in a twin room with a private open-air bath. There was no view from either the in-room bath or the open-air bath at the large public bath. The private open-air bath in the room was fairly spacious, so we could relax and enjoy it. The meals were buffet-style and average, but there was crab at breakfast—why not at dinner? People who like alcohol would enjoy having crab with a drink. The late-night tantanmen ramen was surprisingly light, which was nice. The front desk staff were experienced and kind, which we appreciated.
