The building features German architecture with meticulous craftsmanship down to the smallest details, and the striking fireplace is lit with logs at dinnertime, soothing you with the gentle crackle and flicker of the flames. The meals were also outstanding French cuisine. The tableware and cutlery are excellent as well, making the dining experience even better. Elegant Lladró pieces add a touch of color to the Room. In every respect, you can truly feel the host’s heartfelt hospitality.

My first time in Kofu, Yamanashi. It was a wonderful Hotel, and I was truly impressed. The beautiful Room interior and the high quality of the breakfast made it so good I almost didn’t want to tell anyone about it. This time, I visited Takeda Shrine and stayed only briefly, but the location is convenient for sightseeing as well. I would love to stay here again next time. Thank you very much.

Both the Room and the staff member who assisted us were wonderful, and we were able to truly relax. As I casually looked out from the Japanese-style Room at the beautiful garden, a large grey heron was resting its wings by the waterfall. It was my first time observing one from so close, and I was thrilled. The thoughtfully prepared cuisine is always delicious, and this time again every dish was deeply impressive. Staying in a detached guesthouse felt perfect just being there, but I went out to make sure not to miss the live music in the lobby—and it turned into another wonderfully romantic moment. As often as time and budget allow, I would love to return again and again to unwind. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed for one night with dinner and breakfast included as a family of three. While the building feels a bit old, it is well maintained and very clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. We chose a meal-included Plan, and the food was excellent—we were able to relax and enjoy our meals. The drink bar with alcohol was fantastic, and I ended up getting refills many times (a bit tipsy). Breakfast also had a wide variety, and I went back for both Japanese and Western dishes. The houtou noodles were delicious as well. One thing that concerned me slightly was an odor in the Room. It didn’t bother us while we were in the Room, but when we returned after bathing, the smell stood out—so I think this could be improved. The bath area is small but includes an open-air bath and a sauna, and it was great that we could use the private bath for free. There were also massage chairs and computers available to use for free as part of the Facility offerings, plus unlimited manga—it felt like there wasn’t enough time to enjoy everything. Overall, it was a very good Accommodation. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

We had an incredibly fulfilling stay. From the interior and exterior design to the furniture, decor, fixtures, amenities, lawn, and open grounds, this was a wonderfully comfortable Facility where you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The interior is unified in a calm design, with very high ceilings that create an airy sense of openness, allowing us to fully enjoy a special time away from everyday life. The vanity area and bathroom were especially spacious and impressive—made with high-quality materials and kept impeccably clean down to every corner. The amenities also felt thoughtfully chosen; for example, Aesop hand soap was provided at the sink. All essential cookware and appliances were available, so we could stay comfortably without any inconvenience. We even enjoyed handheld fireworks in the garden. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps were also stunning—scenery you could gaze at for hours without noticing time pass. Most memorable of all were the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge bath. The wood-fired sauna was exceptional—enjoying it while feeling the flicker of flames, hearing the crackle of burning logs, and breathing in the scent of wood was truly special. Unlike an electric heater, it had a gentle heat that warmed us slowly from deep within and helped us relax completely. A large amount of sauna stones were thoroughly heated, so we could also enjoy pleasant steam from löyly. It’s an ideal setup that I would highly recommend even to dedicated sauna lovers. They added ice to the cold plunge bath multiple times for us, so we could cool down properly. Paired with the wood-fired sauna, it was perfect—we fully enjoyed every session. In the evening we enjoyed a BBQ, and we really appreciated that the owner prepared everything—from lighting the fire to setting everything up. On top of that, we received a generous gift of fresh vegetables grown by his wife. They were all rare varieties you don’t often see day-to-day, and you could feel careful attention not only in each vegetable but also in their labels and packaging. We tried them right away at our BBQ—especially the eggplant, which was unbelievably tender and delicious. Beyond how wonderful both the Facility itself and its location are, we were truly moved by the owners’ thoughtful hospitality as well. In this extraordinary setting—with beautiful views, a wood-fired sauna experience like no other،and BBQ—we spent a luxurious yet deeply comfortable time here. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

A friend recommended Kiyosato to me, and my long-awaited 3-night, 4-day stay during the Obon holiday finally came true. We were very well taken care of at Country Inn Orchard. The owner welcomed us warmly, and everything—from the meals to the interior design—was beautiful, making our memories in Kiyosato truly unforgettable. By the time I boarded the train out of Kiyosato on the last day, I already wanted to come back again soon. Thank you very much!

Just as shown in the photos on IKYU, the Accommodation is surrounded by nature, and the location overlooking the Kofu Basin is truly spectacular. The Room is compact, but its tent-like design makes it fun. The bath isn’t an Onsen, but the night view from the open-air bath was stunning and more than satisfying. Before dinner, we relaxed by swaying in a hammock on the terrace and taking our time by the campfire. Dining while watching the scenery gradually shift from dusk to a sparkling night view felt wonderfully luxurious, and the food was delicious. From the Room facilities and amenities to even small details like tableware and cutlery, everything showed careful attention, and overall it felt very tasteful. In the morning I woke up before dawn and spent time watching the Kofu Basin slowly brighten while looking out at Mt. Fuji. Having coffee by the campfire was a truly memorable experience—one I’m sure I’ll remember for a long time. I highly recommend this Accommodation, though breakfast is self-prepared, so that point may come down to personal preference.

We stayed for two nights. The French cuisine and wood-fired dishes, made with plenty of fresh vegetables grown on their own farm, were absolutely delicious. The owner, chef, and staff were all kind and welcoming, and we were happy to spend such an enjoyable time there.

Thanks to the courteous service and the staff’s warm hospitality and flexible support, we had a memorable stay. The Onsen was also wonderful, and the atmospheric open-air bath was especially relaxing. If we have a chance to visit the area again, we would love to stay here again.

I had made a Reservation under the Standard Plan, but they upgraded my Room, so I was able to stay at a great value. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was delicious—I was very satisfied. There are lots of play areas for small children, but adults can enjoy it too. It was my first time trying pickleball, and I really enjoyed it. It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

I found Kamino-yu Onsen when I searched for a solo trip, 2 nights, smoking, Onsen, and in-Room dining. I was able to relax in the Onsen and feel refreshed, and I could even see Mt. Fuji from my Room. Because of my knee, getting up from the futon and standing up from floor cushions was a bit difficult, so I wished there had been a floor chair. The staff greeted me with smiles, which made me happy. Dinner served in my Room was also very satisfying, and I appreciated that the menu was different on both days. There is a valuables locker at the entrance to the large public bath: you set a PIN first, then put your Room key inside and lock it. However, I mistakenly locked it before setting the PIN and couldn’t open it (T . T), which caused extra trouble for the staff. It may be better to leave your Room key at the front desk m(__)m There were plenty of washing stations in the bathing area as well, so it never felt crowded. My skin felt smooth after bathing. I would like to stay again. On the second day they called a taxi for me, and I was able to visit Shosenkyo Ropeway and Sengataki Falls and enjoy a leisurely walk.

Our family of three stayed for one night. It was our first time staying in a renovated traditional house as a whole-house rental Accommodation, but we were interested because the Reviews were so positive. The Accommodation is a renovated old house, and we really enjoyed how the old and new elements blend together. The weather was great—not too hot—and we were impressed by the beautiful scenery and the well-equipped Facilities. We also loved the freedom of cooking our own dinner over charcoal. The slightly dim atmosphere inside, the cleanliness, and the clear, courteous explanations from the male staff member were much appreciated. This has added another place we’d love to visit again. I wanted to relax on my own for a change, found a great-value Plan, and made a Reservation. The staff welcomed me with warm smiles and guided me smoothly to my Room. They even told me where to buy delicious peaches, and I was already so happy I chose to come. After resting in my Room for a bit, I headed straight to the Onsen. It happened to be quiet at that time, so I ended up soaking for ages. I felt like my skin looked better and it really lifted my mood—so after dinner, I went back in again. Finding an Onsen I truly love was the best part of all. The ice cream after the bath was also great. Breakfast was a half-buffet featuring mainly fermented foods—and it was amazing! I especially loved the dried daikon radish and hijiki simmered in tomato sauce so much that I want to make it at home. The salmon served first was also plump and delicious; it made me think, “Is it really okay to enjoy something this luxurious in the morning?”—such a wonderful escape from everyday life. Each dish was light and refreshing, so you may find yourself eating too much—in that sense, be careful (lol). I also loved that check-out is at 11:00, which meant I could enjoy another relaxing soak in the Onsen in the morning. Everyone on staff was kind, and this has become an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again. Thank you very much, Ryokan Meiji.

We were soothed by the greenery visible through the large windows and enjoyed a relaxing, luxurious stay. The weather was great, and it was wonderful to have tea and breakfast outside while listening to birdsong. We were also deeply moved by an unexpected surprise—a herd of deer came to graze nearby. We would love to visit again.

This accommodation is highly recommended for a multiple night stay. One night is simply not enough. There are plenty of experiences to enjoy, such as cooking in a fully equipped kitchen, gathering herbs on the property, watching movies with a projector, reading books available in the room, grinding and brewing your own coffee beans, and sitting by the campfire. During this visit, I stayed for one night and felt reluctant to leave. I promised my friends that we would definitely come back again. The open space with high ceilings and large windows was incredibly pleasant. Next time, I plan to stay longer to enjoy drawing, knitting, reading books, relaxing in the sauna, or taking walks. This is the perfect place to escape from the busyness of city life and take time to reconnect with yourself—highly recommended!

We stayed here as a family of four—my husband, my mother, my son, and me. There is a supermarket called Himawari Market nearby, as well as a bakery called TRIFFLE, so we had no trouble at all even without meals included at the Accommodation. The bed sheets were soft and comfortable, and we really enjoyed staying in this log cabin with its clean wooden scent! Thank you very much. We would love to stay again!

This was my first time staying here. It was about a 15-minute walk (at a relaxed pace) from JR Chuo Main Line Ryuo Station. There is a 7-Eleven along the way. There are several chain restaurants near the Accommodation. Both the Accommodation and its Facilities have a retro Showa-era feel, but the free-flowing natural hot spring water is wonderful. There are two indoor baths; in one of them, you can soak while breathing in radon and ozone. There is also a separate cold-water bath, with continuously flowing water as well. The baths are available all night, but close at 8:30 AM, so be sure to take your morning bath early. The Room toilet has a washlet bidet seat. I had a very relaxing stay. After work, I took the limited express from Tokyo Station (the 6:15 PM Kaiji bound for Ryuo) and arrived in about two hours with no transfers. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

This was my first stay, and the front desk staff were very helpful. I also received a sheet with a map of nearby restaurants. The large public bath was great as well. If you leave your key, etc. at the 5th-floor public bath reception by 21:30, you can enter. It seems to close at 22:00. There were various baths, and the open-air bath on the 6th floor (rooftop) was excellent! However, since the shampoo and conditioner are commercial-grade amenities, the quality isn’t very good, so bringing your own shampoo is recommended. The Room was a single, but I felt the lighting wasn’t bright enough. Otherwise, it’s typical business-hotel quality. Because the open-air bath was so good, I rated it highly.

I stayed for two nights in a cabin with a sauna in mid-April. Although it was closer to town than I expected, the location truly let me experience the “Live with nature” concept. Since I usually live near the sea, being surrounded by mountains felt refreshing. The air was so clear, and I had a wonderfully comfortable stay. The Room—its floors and furniture—was mostly made of wood, creating a soothing space that felt great on bare skin and made me want to spend the whole day there without even going outside. I also enjoyed both the sauna and the campfire at a relaxed pace. At the same time, if you drive out, there are plenty of charming cafes and restaurants nearby, making it perfect for a food-focused trip as well. The email sent before check-in included detailed information about the base’s Facility and amenities, as well as tips about the surrounding area, which helped me plan my trip. Even without staff on-site, I felt warm hospitality. One delightful surprise was being greeted by monkeys when I stepped outside in the morning—it made nature feel even closer. If you want to enjoy both slow time here and sightseeing around the area, I strongly recommend staying at least two nights! Next time, I’d love to stay at another SANU location too.
