We had a truly wonderful stay. We stayed for two nights with our 1-year-old daughter. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the food was outstanding. They thoughtfully accommodated our child’s meals, taking her egg allergy and the size of the ingredients into consideration, and she was very happy. The staff also looked after her throughout, so we could enjoy our meal with peace of mind. The Room has special touches that help you forget the busyness of everyday life. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy an extraordinary experience we don’t usually get to have. We would love to return again next time.

The atmosphere was homey and very clean, and all the staff were extremely kind. It was late July, but the temperature wasn’t too high and the humidity was low, so it was very comfortable—Karuizawa really is wonderful. We stayed for two nights, but on the second night my son became unwell, and I’m very sorry for the trouble we caused. Even though it was sudden, a staff member said, “Please let us know if there’s anything we can do,” and they also helped us check out quickly that same day—thank you so much. By the next day my son was feeling better and said, “Karuizawa was fun—I want to stay at that Hotel again.” I’m also sorry this Review is so late. I will contact you again separately. There was an unexpected issue and I panicked a bit, but I made another special memory in Karuizawa after a long time. Thank you very much.

The hospitality and the restaurant cuisine were outstanding in every respect. Their attentive, courteous communication before our stay left a strong impression, and on the day of our visit, everyone—from the seasoned staff to the younger team members—provided genuinely pleasant service. If you want a reliably excellent experience in Karuizawa, HIRAMATSU is without doubt the place to choose.

The surroundings were wonderful, and this has become a Hotel I’d love to stay at again. The walking paths were lovely, and my dog looked like they really enjoyed the walks. There’s also an animal hospital nearby, which was reassuring. We’ll be back. It rained on the day we left this time, so next time we hope to come when it’s sunny… There also seem to be some nice shops nearby, so I’d like to explore them.

Although it rained, we still had a truly wonderful time as a family—it didn’t bother us at all. The Facility was very quiet and relaxing, a special place where you can forget everyday life and unwind. Everything we needed was well provided, and our stay was very comfortable. The staff were also genuinely pleasant, and we really appreciated their thoughtful, unobtrusive care. The restaurant we used during our stay was excellent as well! The food was truly delicious and became one of the highlights of our trip. As parents, we were so happy to see our children enjoying every bite. There is also a convenience store nearby, which is handy for quick shopping. Since it rained this time, we’d love to visit again in a season with nicer weather. On the way home, our whole family kept saying, “Let’s come back.” Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax in Karuizawa!

I had a very comfortable stay! There may have been a few minor housekeeping issues, but the Room and the Hotel overall were clean. I was very satisfied with the meals as well! I thought it might be nice to use even more local ingredients from Nagano. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

The rooms, terrace, and BBQ area were all very clean, and it was a wonderful Accommodation with thoughtful attention to detail. The grill we reserved in advance was perfectly prepared, and there was a great selection of insect repellent items, dog supplies, indoor games, and welcome drinks—our whole family was more than satisfied. To all the staff at Karuizawa Club Hotel 1130, thank you as always for your kind support. My family has stayed here many times over the past few years, and this time we were finally able to make a Reservation for the Premium Family Suite Room we had long hoped for, so we stayed yesterday. As its name suggests, it was the highest-grade Room among the many Rooms at Karuizawa Hotel 1130. There was an open-air jacuzzi bath on the balcony, and two indoor baths inside as well. There were also two restrooms, and four separate rooms in total—one of them a bedroom with a skylight that lets you gaze up at the sky. Because every space was so luxurious, my whole family was thrilled the moment we stepped into each room. We had reserved Japanese kaiseki at Yamaboshi well in advance, but it was changed to a buffet Plan. Just like in Hewitt Resort’s TV commercial, the buffet venue was beautiful and the selection was extensive. From the live kitchen at dinner to freshly made rice balls at breakfast, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were all courteous and kind, which helped us greatly. We also visited the open-air bath at Onioshi Onsen; it had been renovated and made it easier to access directly from the indoor bath area. We will be staying one more night later this month as well, and we are looking forward to enjoying the same Premium Family Suite Room again. Each time we stay, this wonderful Hotel continues to evolve even further—and it has become our family’s favorite. I hope other guests can experience that same sense of excitement too. We stayed with you last year and returned again this year, and despite the intense heat, it was wonderfully cool, allowing both our minds and bodies to truly relax. We plan to come back again next year with our two dogs. On the way here, we were also able to visit Kumano Kotai Shrine (Kumano Kōtaijingū), famous for its “long-life shrine for dogs,” where we prayed once again this year for our dogs’ knee health and overall well-being.

I was a bit worried after reading the Reviews, but it turned out to be a great value Hotel. The building is old, but it was well cleaned, and the view from the window was nice. In the lounge, you can enjoy coffee and house wine, and dinner was a set course meal. It’s simple French cuisine, but I felt it was very reasonably priced to have meals included at this rate (it may have been an especially good Plan by chance). Since I stayed for work, this Hotel offered excellent satisfaction for the price. Of course, I wouldn’t really recommend it to those looking for a luxury Hotel, but I highly recommend it for groups of friends or families who want a good-value stay. I’d love to stay again.

I visit Sugadaira every summer, so I check early, but I can never get a Reservation. This time I happened to get one, so it was my first stay. The area around the Hotel is very quiet, and the view from the Room is wonderful. After soaking in the Onsen, my skin stayed moisturized for a while. Everyone—the front desk staff and restaurant staff—was very pleasant and welcoming, and I had a truly enjoyable time. The buffet made great use of fresh vegetables and was thoughtfully prepared rather than relying on cheap pre-made sauces. It was delicious. Since it’s so hard to secure an Accommodation Reservation here, I’d come just for the meal alone. There were also many thoughtful touches: a sheet listing the names of the mountains visible from the Room window, places to hang clothes throughout the Room (probably for winter ski wear), a towel for wiping around the washbasin, and a cube-shaped power strip with five outlets. It’s a Hotel with great attention to detail. If I can get another Reservation, I would definitely like to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay in this luxurious villa, thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. During the day, we were soothed by the fresh greenery visible through the double-height windows and from the bathtub, and at night we relaxed by the flames of the wood-burning stove. With an LP record player, a wood-burning stove, a second-floor bathroom, and carefully selected furniture, we enjoyed a space unlike any other vacation rental. Of course, it also supports streaming services and Bluetooth. The open and spacious kitchen is fully equipped with tableware, cooking utensils, and even basic seasonings—perfect for guests who prefer to cook without needing to bring anything. Two hair dryers, a washing machine, a clothes dryer, detergent, and laundry detergent are also provided, so there’s no need to pack extras even for longer stays. To make the most of this wonderful Facility, we recommend adding options such as the wood-burning stove or BBQ set. For dining out, Harunire Terrace and an area with many restaurants are easily accessible in just a few minutes by car or taxi. If you prefer cooking at home, Tsuruya Karuizawa store is also easy to reach. As it had just opened when we visited, Wi-Fi was still under installation; however mobile service worked fine—and honestly it felt even more relaxing without being constantly connected. We would love to stay again. *For guests with small children: please note that there are features such as the wood-burning stove (when in use), stairs and open atrium areas (double-height ceiling), and sloped sections from the wooden deck. We recommend confirming these points in advance.*

We stayed here during summer vacation with three families. The building, Facilities, and amenities were all extremely clean, making our stay very comfortable. The interior was stylish and lovely as well. We rented an optional BBQ set, but unfortunately it rained that day. We contacted them just in case, and even though it was a last-minute request, they set up a tarp for us the same day. We truly appreciated it, enjoyed a wonderful BBQ, and it became the best summer vacation memory. We will definitely be back. It seems Polar Resort has several vacation rentals in Karuizawa, so we’d like to try their other Accommodations too. Highly recommended.

A village nestled in a quiet villa area of Kita-Karuizawa. The Accommodation is dog-friendly with free indoor access and a private dog run. The dog run is generously covered with wood chips, and the BBQ area was well maintained, so we felt comfortable letting our dog play. Sitting on the deck in front of the trailer house, you can hear the gentle stream nearby, and all you see is lush greenery with no man-made structures in sight. Luom no Mori nearby, which we were kindly introduced to, offered delicious pizza in a spacious forest garden. At Asama Otaki Falls, the shaded walking path was pleasant, and our dog occasionally walked through the stream. This tiny house combines an attractive location that’s perfect for traveling with dogs with plenty of space and convenience.

We stayed with our family and one Toy Poodle. We arrived around 4:00 p.m. and wondered if we might have too much time before dinner, but with the sauna and the ability to let our dog run freely around the entire garden like a dog run, we enjoyed a special experience we could never have in Tokyo. The Facility was spotless, warm with underfloor heating, and the meals provided were delicious. Both the amenities and supplies were very well stocked, and in particular, everything we would hope to have when traveling with a dog was available, making it perfect for trips with dogs. We would love to stay again.

Now that our kids have grown up and no longer spend their summer vacation tied up with sports clubs and team activities, three families were able to get together for the first time in eight years. Considering the extreme heat and our age, we gave up on tent camping and chose an easy, comfortable stay in a lodge. Since it looked like it might rain, the Accommodation staff secured a BBQ area for us in advance, and we really appreciated how they also accommodated a sudden increase in our group size. We were also grateful that we could dispose of the BBQ trash. The bath water is brownish with an iron scent. It warms you up wonderfully. Maybe thanks to the Onsen, my makeup went on better the next morning. It would have been even better if bathing hours were available until 11:00 p.m. The three horses were friendly and adorable. When we petted them around the neck, they leaned into us, which made them even more lovable. The staff were very kind, and we had a great trip.

Stayed in a log-type Accommodation. Spacious, atmospheric, and thoroughly clean. Great value, and we had a wonderful time. A Facility that welcomes dogs as well, making it suitable for a wide range of guests. We’d love to stay again!
