It was a wonderful Accommodation where we could relax in peace, like staying at a private villa with only two Rooms. The chef’s cuisine was truly delicious—everything handmade with creative touches using local ingredients, beautifully presented and easy to enjoy. We were completely satisfied and enjoyed every dish. The staff also shared lots of great recommendations in Nasu, including tasty bakeries, drinks, and sightseeing spots, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. There was an alcoholic drink made with Tochiotome strawberries—I've forgotten the name, but I’d like to look for it next time I visit Nasu.

This was my first time staying here. When my child told me they had stayed at HOTEL R8 in another prefecture, I honestly thought a regular business hotel would be fine. But due to budget reasons (laugh), I decided to try it for the first time. It was completely different from what I expected—I was able to stay comfortably, just like at a normal hotel. There were many breakfast (bento) options, and everything was delicious. The disappointing part… I thought about it, but there really wasn’t anything. I’d like to stay at HOTEL R8 in other prefectures as well. Thank you very much.

Because it’s located in a convenient, everyday area of Nasu, you won’t have trouble shopping even if you forget something. It’s also a place where it’s easy to find familiar meals. The Hotel was clean.

I stayed here the night before because I had errands for my child. Next door there’s Bamiyan and Gusto, and nearby there are a 7-Eleven, Yoshinoya, Sukiya, Cocochi, MOS Burger, and a ramen shop. For one night with two guests, you receive two frozen-meal vouchers at check-in. You can choose from mapo eggplant bento, meatball bento, curry, meat sauce pasta, or yaki udon. The free drink corner offers coffee only, but the machine brews each cup by drip and felt quite authentic. Amenities are next to the front desk; you take what you need yourself. The sleepwear was a gown type. Earplugs were also available. I don’t smoke, but the smoking area is outdoors. If it rains, you’ll likely need an umbrella to smoke. Parking right in front of the Room is very convenient. Check-out was easy too—just drop the card-style room key into the post box outside the front desk and leave. Once inside the Room it’s so comfortable you forget you’re in a container unit; however, because the window is small and doesn’t open much, there was a slight lack-of-ventilation smell in the Room. Since there’s an air purifier provided, it may be best to run it on full power. In the bathroom there were shampoo, conditioner, body soap, foaming face & hand wash (foam), bath towels, and face towels. Inside the Room there were about five hangers; TV channels were terrestrial digital only. Wi‑Fi is also available. I avoided an “issue” Room type (“wake ari”), so there was no vibration or noise for me at all. At Bamiyan next door I sat at a seat closest to Route 1 (the main road), and it shook like an earthquake every time a truck passed—so I’m glad I chose a non-“wake ari” Room along the road side as well. It’s casual and inexpensive, so I’d like to use other Hotel R9 locations in other areas again if I have the chance."""

I still think the hot water here is among the best. And despite how great it is, because it’s a Business Hotel, you can relax without any hesitation.

It would have been great if a phone charger had been provided in the Room. The breakfast menu was somewhat disappointing.

We had a truly comfortable stay! The cottage was spacious and new, and it was spotless in every corner, so we felt at ease from the moment we arrived. We relaxed in the large bath and slept soundly in the fluffy bed. The breakfast bread was also delicious. Most of all, we were happy that our dog could relax so comfortably. Seeing our dog sleep so peacefully both nights made us feel truly content. When traveling with a pet, what matters most to us is that our dog feels safe and can unwind, so we were very satisfied with how freely and comfortably our dog could spend time here. All the necessary pet supplies were well provided, and we could really feel the owner’s thoughtful attention to detail. We lacked nothing and were able to stay with complete peace of mind. We’ve made another precious memory with our dog. We would definitely love to stay here again when we visit Nasu!

I stayed for one night and two days with my dog. The staff kindly explained how to use the Facility, such as the shower and stove, so I was able to spend my time comfortably without any inconvenience. I think it would be enjoyable in a different atmosphere in another season as well. Thank you very much.

At check-in, I forgot to ask for the public bath's access code. Early the next morning, I went to the front desk, but the staff was unavailable as they had gone to a nearby Route Inn. I contacted them, and they promptly returned to provide me with the code. Thank you for your assistance.

I stayed here during my trip to Tochigi Prefecture and found it by chance. It is located in a quiet countryside area, which was great. The breakfast was especially delightful with unlimited refills of delicious rice, and the portion of side dishes was very satisfying.

Set in a quiet location surrounded by a tranquil forest, it feels very relaxing. The Room has a retro vibe. The refrigerator and toilets are shared, but they are well organized and easy to use. As for Room security, the door locks with an old-style push-button knob. Please keep valuables with you. The sheets for the futon are changed daily. Everything is very clean and fluffy. The lighting feels a bit dim, so it would help if it could be brighter. The bath water is clear brown, with a relatively high pH. Leaning against the main pillar of the pyramid-shaped building (inside the bath), you might feel some kind of energy?? It’s refreshing. Both morning and evening, the bath is not crowded. I hope the 95-year-old owner is doing well. If the timing works out next year, I’d like to stay again. A hands-off Accommodation that’s just right for me.

The local dishes prepared by the dining hall hostess were delicious. Thanks to her, we had a wonderful time at breakfast.
