I was truly impressed by the warm hospitality and smiles of all the staff, as well as their clear and courteous explanations. The meals were absolutely delicious, and we were very satisfied. The riverside open-air bath was wonderfully soothing, and we were able to spend meaningful time with our family. Thank you very much. We would love to stay with you again someday.

As usual, I stayed here with my mother. It was very helpful that we didn’t have to walk much inside the Accommodation, and could use the elevator to get to the large public bath, dining room, and lounge. The interior has a calming feel, and the Room was comfortable to spend time in. The food was delicious; the buffet had a good selection without being overwhelming, and the freshly made tempura was excellent. It wasn’t too large, which made it easy for my mother as well. Since we had a long stay until 1:00 PM, we were truly able to relax. I’d love to visit again.

We enjoyed delicious cuisine and the Onsen, making for a fun and wonderful summer vacation. The 30-tatami Room we used for the first time was also impressive. We also enjoyed Aizu’s local specialties, including Kozuyu and dried cod (bo-dara).

The dishes made with local Aizu ingredients were truly delicious. Both the large public bath overlooking the river and the in-Room bath were very relaxing.

My daughter, who lives far away, was able to come home during the holiday, so we stayed on 9/20 during Silver Week. At first, we had made a Reservation at another Hotel because we planned to go grape picking in Fukushima and then travel to Morioka. However, with the typhoon making the weather uncertain, we kept considering a closer plan until the last minute. When an opening came up for a Room with an open-air bath, we quickly made a Reservation here. Since our family travels entirely by car, changing our schedule gave us extra time. We arrived early and planned to take a walk nearby, and the parking staff kindly recommended some spots for us. The footbath was very relaxing. The open-air bath in the Room does not have a washing area, but it wasn’t an issue—washing first at the large public bath or using the indoor bath in the Room was enough. Dinner and breakfast are buffet-style. When traveling as a family of four, we usually choose Accommodations with buffets, so we truly appreciate Itoen Hotel for its reasonable pricing. Some people have various opinions about the food, but if you search under the same conditions (a Room with an open-air bath), most places cost about twice as much or more than Itoen Hotel. If you’re dissatisfied, it simply means you should increase your budget. The Tsukimi Fair set dishes and—during Silver Week—the bluefin tuna and roast beef sushi were especially popular. The ramen was also delicious; since this is Fukushima, perhaps it had a Kitakata-style soup? Our family was very satisfied. Because of the typhoon’s impact, we decided to relax at the Hotel. We enjoyed soaking in the Onsen many times, eating until we were full, winning prizes in the game corner arcade area, and having fun playing table tennis—it was a wonderful stay. Since I made this Reservation in such haste, I caused trouble due to my own mistake. Also after checking out and leaving, my daughter realized something important to her was missing. When we turned back and returned to the Hotel staff immediately told us it had been found at the shop counter—this truly helped us so much. Thank you very much for your kind assistance. My first time in Aizu-Wakamatsu! This Accommodation was high quality for the price. Unfortunately, it poured with heavy rain, so the stargazing open-air bath was a downpour. I must have made my Reservation too late, and could only book the earliest morning slot. This time we chose a package that included this bath, but the private-use fee of 4,400 yen felt a bit expensive. The meals were delicious, mainly featuring local Aizu cuisine. One small disappointment was that the rice I had been looking forward to was mushy and not very tasty. The staff’s hospitality was excellent. Overall, it was a good Accommodation.

The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and I was able to unwind and enjoy a peaceful stay. I also appreciated that it is free-flowing from the source and available 24 hours a day. The water temperature was just right, and it left my skin feeling silky smooth. We had dinner on a riverside dining platform, and it was wonderful to enjoy the scenery and the sound of the flowing river while eating. The meal was delicious and had a great seasonal feel. The staff were courteous, which made the stay very comfortable. I would love to return if I have the chance.

It was a very nice Room, and we enjoyed the meals as well. However, there was one thing that concerned us: when the toilet paper ran out, we tried to replace it with a spare roll but couldn’t. We were very disappointed, perhaps because some guests take it home.

I stayed with the No Meals Included plan. As it was the off-season, I was able to stay at a very reasonable price. The building is old, but it has been nicely renovated. Since it was a discounted Room, I could hear some plumbing noise, but if you just want to enjoy the Onsen and sleep, this Accommodation is more than satisfactory.

As a travel-loving couple, we’ve recently been taking trips where we stay at a Hotel and eat at local restaurants, so this was our first Ryokan stay in a while. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the bath, and the food—and were able to relax and take our time. The Room was honestly too spacious for just two of us, but every space—the Japanese-style room, Western-style room, and bedroom—had its own charm and was wonderful. The bed was also extremely comfortable, and we slept soundly. We also enjoyed the Bluetooth speaker in the Western-style room; it had great sound quality and created an atmosphere that felt like being in a bar. The open-air bath in the Room had continuously flowing natural hot spring water, so we could soak right away after arriving and truly unwind. Dinner featured locally produced Aizu cuisine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The recommended sake was delicious as well, and it was nice to be able to ask casually for suggestions while choosing. The pricing also felt very reasonable overall. If I had to mention one thing, breakfast was slightly disappointing: refills of rice or tea had to be requested via the in-room phone, and they took quite a while to arrive—so it would have been better if tea had been left in a pot. We were happy with the service too, and would love to visit again if we have the chance.

I experienced “true richness.” I stayed for one night and two days as a reward to myself, hoping to enjoy local cuisine cooked over an irori hearth. The “authentic food” I was served far exceeded my expectations. It was made using only truly excellent local ingredients, and in particular, the pairing of the duck broth after the duck shabu-shabu with 100% buckwheat soba was sublime—a perfect match of the real and the real. I felt this kind of deliciousness simply can’t be found in the city, and it was only the second time in my life that food has genuinely moved me. That’s how overwhelming it was. By the way, it wasn’t just about the meals—the hydrogen Onsen also felt incredibly refreshing, as if my cells were being revitalized. The Onsen can be enjoyed as a private reservation.
