I stayed here on September 27 after attending an event in Nihonmatsu City.
My check-in time was 7:00 PM, but I was going to be late so I tried calling the hotel. I couldn’t get through and felt a bit anxious, but thank you for welcoming me with a smile when I arrived.
I chose an 8-tatami Japanese-style room. It wasn’t particularly outstanding or disappointing, but it was comfortable.
The hot spring is the main highlight, and since it was Sunday night, I was able to enjoy the large public bath and the open-air bath almost privately and relax. I wanted to try the lying-down bath as well, but there was no water in it. There was also a small open-air bath (for children?), but it didn’t seem to be in use and had rainwater pooled in it, so families with children should be aware.
I chose the breakfast plan that included yudofu (tofu hot pot). The taste was good, but it was disappointing that only soy sauce was provided as a condiment. That said, I was impressed by the friendly service from both the female staff member and an international staff member who assisted me.
I used the hot spring again in the morning. It was fine at night, but in the morning the shower water wasn’t very hot, so I washed using water from the bathtub.
The facilities feel luxurious overall, though some areas show signs of age. Considering the price, that’s understandable.
Personally, if you’re visiting Nihonmatsu City solo, this is a good-value hotel.
