Everything was excellent. Thank you for accommodating my allergies at both breakfast and dinner. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and I truly enjoyed the food. The Room was clean, and being able to smoke on the terrace made my stay very comfortable. The staff were all very kind and attentive, and the private open-air bath with its spectacular view as well as the in-Room open-air bath were incredibly relaxing—making it a wonderful holiday.

This was my first stay, and I was satisfied with everything. I also appreciated the upgrade to a stadium-view Room, which made my stay even more enjoyable. However, even without the upgrade, the Room was spacious, the Hotel as a whole felt simple and very clean, and the hospitality and service were polished—overall, a truly wonderful Hotel. Since I don’t visit Nagasaki often, I feel I had a genuinely great time with both sightseeing and my stay. Thank you very much. A few days before my stay, I emailed to check on the impact of the heavy rain, and received a courteous reply with detailed information, which reassured me and allowed me to stay with peace of mind. The dining staff casually shared helpful updates, and the next morning provided even more detailed information. Every staff member was pleasant without being overly formal, making my stay very comfortable.

I stayed here because I wanted to visit Gotemba Premium Outlets again after a long time. The room was clean, and the large public bath was excellent. The well-reviewed breakfast was delicious, with many local ingredients from Gotemba on offer. It was so good that I wished it were available for dinner as well. I’d like to stay here again the next time I visit Gotemba.

For the past ten years or so, my wife and I have been traveling all over Japan by car. This time, taking advantage of Silver Week, we were planning a trip to Kyushu and realized that in the southwestern part of Kyushu we had only visited Koshikijima with our children a long time ago. When I searched on IKYU, I found Villa Hikaruze. We were contacted to confirm our arrival time, and I wondered why at first, but when we arrived at Hikaruze, the Onsen bath had been filled in time for our arrival. It was two days of wonderful hospitality—perfect for seniors like us. Recently we’ve enjoyed visiting remote islands such as Goto, Iki, Rebun, and Rishiri, but Hikaruze’s location was even better. The weather was great, and we could see as far as the Amakusa islands in the distance. As for what this old couple looks forward to most—meals—the sashimi and meat were the best we’ve ever had. Since we don’t have much time left at our age, we’re looking forward to returning soon with our children. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay. My first visit left a great impression, so when planning this trip with friends visiting from Taiwan, I recommended it and included it in our itinerary. Everyone praised the courteous service, the Facility, and the delicious meals. Although everything was complimentary, we truly appreciated being served high-quality food and drinks.

It was a wonderful Hotel. The staff were courteous and attentive, and we had a very comfortable stay. We had a small issue with the Room, but when we asked for help, they promptly arranged a Room change, which was greatly appreciated. Thank you for your quick response. As we were an elderly couple traveling together, we chose this hotel so we could enjoy a relaxed course-style meal, and it met our expectations and left us very satisfied. From the room we were shown, we had a panoramic view of Miho Bay. The room was spacious with high ceilings, and that alone helped ease the fatigue of travel. The sofa and table were carefully crafted from solid wood; they weren’t flashy, but they reflected attention to detail and good taste. We used the large public bath, and even though it was around 5:30 p.m., it felt like we had it to ourselves, so I was able to relax and enjoy it at my own pace. Dinner featured a wide variety of small portions using local ingredients and seasonal produce. The amount was just right, and the timing of service was excellent. Thanks to all of this, we had a wonderful time; however, there was one thing that felt inconsistent—the send-off. After dinner on our way back to the room, someone who seemed to be in charge saw us off at the elevator until the doors closed, which almost made us feel apologetic for the attention. Yet after checkout, when we left through the entrance, there was no farewell or greeting at all. Given how high the overall standard of the hotel is, this was a little disappointing.

Local buses run from Shuzenji Station, and the bus stop is right in front of the Accommodation, so it was easy to find. With only a few Rooms, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Because the number of guests is limited, the staff provided attentive service. The guest Rooms make great use of a traditional kura storehouse design while incorporating Japanese-style elements. The open-air bath itself was spacious and very satisfying. Even though it was an open and airy space, there was a roof for rain protection, so we could still enjoy it on a rainy day. The privacy screens were cleverly arranged—there was openness to the garden and sky, yet views from outside were well blocked, making for an interesting design. The amenities also felt natural-focused while still being high quality. The restaurant is in a renovated old traditional house that preserves its original character despite feeling new. There are also separate areas for a bakery and gelato. All three were delicious, which fully satisfied our desire to enjoy great food: the umami of shellfish at dinner, the aroma of mushrooms, autumn flavors like grilled cutlassfish with matsutake mushrooms and ginkgo nuts; plus wonderfully tasty eggs at breakfast—and even sashimi served with morning appetizers. Everything was carefully prepared. This is a comfortable Accommodation where you can enjoy both mountains and sea, making full use of Toi’s nature and culture.

The Room was spacious, so we could relax and enjoy a luxurious day!! The outdoor BBQ was also wonderful!! We were also able to visit a nearby Onsen, which was great. Since there weren’t many people, we could take our time and unwind. We’d love to come again.

I stayed here at the end of my trip to Hokkaido. The places I stayed before were wonderful as well, but this Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel was outstanding. Every dish at the buffet was delicious. I wanted to try more, but I got full and couldn’t eat everything, which I still regret a little. The kamameshi rice was especially good, and the meat was excellent too—in fact, everything I tried tasted great. When I went to the Onsen early in the morning (just after 5 a.m.), I saw staff baking bread. I had some at breakfast, and it was also very tasty. The moor Onsen had a gentle natural scent and a wonderfully silky feel on the skin; one night wasn’t enough. This time I couldn’t take my time sightseeing around Tokachi, so I would love to come back again next year. More than anything, what left me with such a great impression of the Hotel was an employee at the souvenir shop “Tamatebako.” The trainee wearing a training name badge had an amazing smile and provided excellent service. When I told them how pleasant they were, they responded with another lovely smile. Of course it comes down to personal qualities as well, but it also made me feel that the Hotel’s management philosophy must be excellent for staff like this to grow here. All of the other staff were wonderful too, and it reminded me that not only the Onsen and food but also people’s hospitality is what truly shapes a trip. We chose the Anniversary Plan as it coincided with my husband’s five-year service refresh leave and the month of our wedding anniversary. On this Hakone trip, we used the free pass and hadn’t realized the hotel was on higher ground, so we quickly arranged a taxi to get there. After the hassle of getting there, I briefly wondered if we’d chosen the wrong place—but that concern disappeared as soon as we arrived. From the large lobby windows, we had a clear view of Lake Ashi, and it was immediately obvious this is a hotel with an outstanding view—scenery you can only get from an elevated location. Our room’s balcony also faced Lake Ashi and had a comfortable table set and an open-air bath. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, so we made coffee right away and enjoyed it on the balcony with the complimentary fruit while relaxing together and taking in the lake view. There were two types of coffee. I appreciated that one was decaf—perfect for evening so caffeine wouldn’t affect sleep—while in the morning there was a richer option to help you wake up. It felt very thoughtful. The bathing setup was also excellent: there was an indoor shower room, so we didn’t have to worry about getting cold while washing up, and then we could simply enjoy soaking in the open-air bath out on the scenic balcony. The hot spring water felt wonderful; I soaked many times and my skin felt silky smooth. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, but especially memorable was the meat: thick yet incredibly tender, with enough fat to be flavorful while still tasting light. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had meat that good before. The tableware was also beautifully chosen throughout, making each course visually enjoyable as well. The staff were all polite and attentive. One newer staff member seemed possibly mixed heritage; her explanations were sometimes a little hard to catch, but her sincere effort came through clearly and left a great impression. Although we only told them about our anniversary on check-in day, they not only prepared a celebratory message plate but also took photos for us at short notice and presented them to us at breakfast the next morning—it became a wonderful keepsake. The next morning, lake fog covered all of Lake Ashi’s surface, creating an incredibly beautiful, dreamlike scene. We made coffee again in our room and enjoyed it together on the balcony—it truly felt like a luxurious time.

We stayed for two nights as a couple using the Kagoshima Solo Discount. The spacious room had a great view of Sakurajima, with a table, a comfortable sofa to relax on, and plenty of space to put our luggage. We also used the hot spring and sauna, which were very relaxing. The bed length felt a bit short for men. Breakfast was buffet-style; the selection wasn’t large, but it was more than enough for us and we enjoyed it. A walk before dawn was the best! This is a hotel we’d love to stay at again if we have the chance.
