This was my second stay, following last year. The lobby, Room, and large public bath are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The large public bath is excellent. The Onsen leaves your skin feeling smooth, and I especially liked the open-air bath with a very hot option. Breakfast featured many Chichibu specialties and was healthy, so I could eat plenty without feeling heavy—while still offering hearty options for those who want a more filling meal. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Chichibu.

This was an Accommodation I had been interested in for some time. The hot water was pleasantly warm, so I could soak and relax at length. The meals were excellent, and I also ordered grilled sesame tofu as an extra. It was exquisite. Overall, the service was very good, and I would like to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the all-you-can-drink craft beer server. The open-air bath overlooking the bamboo grove was also wonderful: during the day, you can hear cicadas, and at night it has a majestic, Bamboo Cutter’s Tale atmosphere. The meals were excellent—both dinner and breakfast offered a great variety of dishes. The bar had many cocktails and Japanese whiskies, all delicious. Thank you to the bartender.

In a small Japanese-style room, I enjoyed the sweetness of local vegetables while imagining that merchants from long ago might have stayed here alone as well. Perhaps because of the terrain there is no railway, which may help create the town’s calm atmosphere. On the way back, when I was kindly given a ride on the bus toward Chichibu, I was deeply impressed by driving that was more considerate than anything I have ever experienced. Even on mountain roads, the driver’s smooth control never caused sudden tilts in any direction, and he consistently kept safely to the left edge of the road to allow oncoming traffic to pass. I wasn’t able to thank the driver when getting off, so please allow me to express my gratitude here.

Thanks to the Accommodation’s consideration, we were upgraded to a larger Room. The meals were delicious and we were very satisfied.

This Business Hotel offers covered parking for motorcycles. The location is excellent—Seibu-Chichibu Station is truly just a short walk away, and you can also walk to JR Chichibu Station. The breakfast buffet staff were very kind, which was great. This time, I stayed here while touring Chichibu by motorcycle for the pilgrimage and to see the Kawase Festival, and thanks to that I had a wonderful trip.

Our children were delighted, and we had a wonderful time. We really appreciated the Room upgrade, and when our siblings argued over the amenities, the front desk staff responded flexibly and helpfully. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was a truly wonderful Hotel. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt a sense of calm and dignified atmosphere. The cleanliness throughout the building, the color tones of the furniture and interiors, the beauty of the design, and the carefully arranged details all conveyed the Hotel’s overall elegance. What impressed me most was the warmth of the staff. Their demeanor and choice of words reflected outstanding hospitality, allowing me to relax and enjoy my stay with peace of mind. Breakfast was also excellent—not only for the food itself, but also because it could be enjoyed slowly in a serene setting. It felt like one of the great highlights of staying at this Hotel. This Hotel is not simply a place to stay; it is a place to step away from everyday life and spend quiet time in refined comfort. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to take their time enjoying their stay while appreciating its beautiful atmosphere and distinctive world that the staff so carefully preserve. I sincerely thank all staff members for providing such a wonderful space and service. I would love to visit again. However, some guests’ behavior was disappointing. At minimum, basic manners matter—no swimming in the large public bath; no shouting by adults or children; no arguing or yelling between parents; no running in the breakfast area. Even though it was only one night, there was a significant gap between guests who wanted to enjoy a quiet, high-quality environment and those without manners. With both groups mixed together, it is true that there were many moments when I could not fully enjoy what should have been such a dignified and lovely atmosphere. The food, cleanliness, ambiance, elegance, professionalism at reception, quality of furnishings, and housekeeping (except for parts related to air conditioning within the building) were all excellent and very satisfying. This is an issue on our side as guests. Please follow basic etiquette in shared spaces: do not run (especially in the breakfast area), do not shout, do not argue loudly even as parents—and keep your voices down. Unfortunately there were many guests who did not observe these basics. I especially wish people would refrain from swimming in the large public bath. There were also children splashing water around with wash buckets—yet some parents did not correct them; instead they swam together with their children while being loud. It felt chaotic. I also did not want to witness arguments between parents. I do not want to hear shouting or yelling. If only guest behavior improved—but aside from that point, this Hotel is outstanding!

We truly felt the Hotel’s warm hospitality. Your greetings and temporary luggage storage were very helpful. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious. With the Hotel’s Kawagoe map, we were able to explore Koedo smoothly. It became a fun and memorable trip, and we felt the accommodation cost with breakfast included was a great value. While looking for a Hotel near Kumagaya Station, I chose this one because it was the cheapest and had great Reviews. I expected a somewhat retro Hotel, but since I was mainly focused on price for just one night, I didn’t have any particular expectations. However, just as the Reviews said, the moment I entered the Hotel it smelled wonderful, and all of the staff (mostly older women) were truly kind and pleasant. Their thoughtful attention and friendly words came so naturally that I was genuinely impressed!! The Room was more spacious than I expected and very well cleaned, so the age of the building didn’t bother me at all. I’ve stayed at several Hotels in front of or near the station before, but if you’re staying with No Meals Included, this is by far my top recommendation! I probably won’t be going to Kumagaya again, but I wish I had stayed at this Hotel sooner. Every staff member I met in the Hotel left a great impression—such a wonderful place. Thank you very much!

Five middle-aged men stayed here together. The building itself has a historic feel, but the interior is well maintained and clean, so it didn’t feel particularly old. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying in both quantity and quality, with a great balance for enjoying drinks as well. The white rice cooked over firewood at the end of the meal was especially delicious. We’d love to return next time with our family.

We stayed with our 3-, 2-, and 1-year-old children. Thank you for your very attentive service and for the toys for the kids. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

The place was very spacious, and the kids could relax and play freely. It’s an older house, but it was thoroughly cleaned—everything was spotless, comfortable, and pleasant. The amenities were well stocked, and I was surprised they even had phone chargers. There were lots of board games, which the kids absolutely loved. Because it’s a large house, it felt chilly in the mornings and evenings, but a fan heater was provided so we had no trouble. The kitchen had everything from cooking utensils to tableware, and we could use the drum-style washing machine as much as we wanted (detergent provided). It was an Accommodation with truly thoughtful touches throughout. We’d love to stay again.

We visited to see the moss phlox at Hitsujiyama Park. The Accommodation offered a free stargazing tour, and we had a wonderful time. Every staff member was truly hospitable. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful two-day stay. Upon arrival, we were guided to our room with a detailed explanation, and the room located on an elevated spot offered a stunning view. I booked the Anniversary Plan to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday, and he was delighted with the decorations and cake—it was worth making the reservation. The meals were plentiful, leaving us completely satisfied when we left the accommodation. The atmosphere seemed enjoyable even in colder seasons, so we would love to visit again. Master, thank you for such a fun and wonderful time. It was my first stay, but you listened to so many of our stories over drinks, and it was truly relaxing. You even celebrated my birthday and Mother’s Day with me—it was the most fulfilling time I’ve had in decades. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again at this Hotel.

Close to the station, I was completely taken with its compact design. It's a Hotel I would like to use again.
