I stayed at Ne no Hana at Otoiroka no Toki once a long time ago, and because all Rooms are separate villas with spacious, relaxing interiors, I chose to stay again after a round of golf. I was very satisfied with the thoughtful service from the staff. The meals were also excellent, and it was great that additional dishes could be ordered separately. Above all, the head chef personally came to greet us and brought homemade pickles—I enjoyed them so much that I asked for seconds three times. The way the natural flavors of the ingredients were highlighted while still being refined deserves high praise. This Accommodation is highly recommended for anyone who wants to spend quiet, private time. At check-out we were seen off, and it was my first time ever to be personally seen off by the head chef as well. His smile was wonderful and made me want to come back again without hesitation. Since I’m a big foodie, I tend to rate an Accommodation based on its meals; from the very first dish I felt confident it would be great—and in fact I returned to my Room completely full and satisfied. I hope to stop by again around early autumn. Thank you very much for everything.

The Room view, the Onsen, and the meals were all excellent! There are sightseeing spots near Mt. Aso, so the location was great and it was truly wonderful!!

The breakfast was amazing! It was so good that I’d stay here just to eat breakfast. The kids also seemed to have fun making their own seafood rice bowls in the morning. There is also a coin laundry in the Facility, and the Onsen changes between morning and night. Because my expectations were high from the Hotel photos, I noticed some signs of aging in the guest room, and it was a bit of a walk to the Onsen. It’s about an 8-minute drive to Obi Castle, so the location is great. Enjoying the Onsen after getting tired from eating while walking around made for a wonderful trip!

The interior feels a bit dated, but I was able to stay very comfortably. The window offered a tropical ocean view, and the sparkling sunrise made me feel like something good might happen today (lol). Trying on the SEASONS uniform actually felt surprisingly natural and comfortable. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a group of four, including my wife and parents. The charm and elegance of this building, designated as a city cultural property, were truly remarkable, and my parents were very pleased. I even wondered how such an environment could be provided while maintaining profitability. Here are some thoughts: 〇 Highlights - My parents found the traditional-style house nostalgic and reminisced about the past. I felt it would be great for elderly guests to stay here. Once inside (except for the twin bedroom and detached bathroom), there are no steps, making it comfortable for older adults. - The distance from Obi Castle was perfect; we enjoyed walks both in the evening and morning. The walking paths had a lovely atmosphere. - The garden was beautiful, and opening the window in the detached bathroom created a pleasant semi-open-air experience (though it's not an Onsen; bath salts might be nice). We also appreciated having Yoguruppe available. - The dining area featured delicious craft beer and shochu highball on tap, along with other drinks and snacks. As a fan of shochu highball myself, I was delighted (and drank too much). 〇 Areas for Improvement - The front door and toilet doors were stiff to open or close for elderly guests. It would be helpful if they could operate with less force. - While the outdoor stone stairs (9 steps) had small rises, the wooden entrance stairs (5 steps) had larger rises that seemed slippery—challenging for older adults with weaker legs or balance issues. We appreciated being advised beforehand about entering through the back door instead; however, even there were some steps without handrails that required caution. Adjustments to reduce step height would greatly benefit elderly visitors. - Due to low airtightness in parts of this historic building during pollen season, certain areas indoors (like desks in earthen-floored rooms or parts of hallway walls) felt slightly dusty. The town of Obi itself is wonderful but staying at this accommodation alone made our trip worthwhile—it was an exceptional experience! We look forward to staying here again when visiting Obi in the future. Thank you very much!

The bath settings were a bit unfamiliar, but everything, including the bathroom and bed, was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary utensils, which was very convenient. A clean beach with no debris is right in front of the property, offering a quiet and pleasant environment. At night, the starry sky added to the memorable stay.

They welcomed us very warmly. I’m grateful for the thoughtful care they showed for my elderly mother. The Onsen was also very relaxing. With its charming castle town and samurai residences, it was a stay filled with history. Thank you.

It was my first time here, and it was simply the best!!! Unlimited free activities like kayaking! The scallops at the BBQ were incredibly delicious. The staff were so funny and kind, and we had fun the whole time. It became an unforgettable memory—I'll definitely be back!

It’s rare to find a Hotel this close to the sea. The view from the window is amazing. I’d love to stay again.

It was very nice to relax in a very calming space while enjoying the beautiful garden. The large bath was also pleasant.

I used it for regular sightseeing. The facilities are minimal, but there were no problems, and the cost performance is top-notch. The wifi environment is well-equipped, allowing for a comfortable stay. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. It was sufficient for a place to sleep. I was disappointed that there was no bathtub and only a shower.

The stairs to the second floor are quite steep. There is a handrail on the right side, but we felt it would be better to have at least a small handrail on the other side as well.

I booked without realizing it was a famous canal, but I’m glad I got to stay in such a historic place. The futon was warm, and I slept soundly even with the air conditioner off. The bath was spacious, impressive, and very comfortable. I’m not sure what is normally provided for the welcome drink tea, but maybe it wasn’t replenished? Or is coffee the main option? It was disappointing that there wasn’t enough for everyone. There were dishes available, but it was unclear whether they were microwave-safe (probably not), so ceramic plates would have been better. We bought sashimi labeled “locally caught” at the supermarket, and the knife was sharp, which really helped. With only the dining table it felt a bit cramped, so it would have been even better if the low table were larger and more practical. I think many guests would be concerned about insects (ants?) in the washroom, so it may be worth taking measures to address this. Also, you should definitely try the pancakes! The café is far away but has a great atmosphere, and it made our trip much more satisfying.

This was my first stay at a hotel I’ve known since childhood. Even though I no longer have my family home, this place feels like a "home base" when I return to Nichinan. The stay itself was comfortable, but I noticed that the water faucet didn’t stop easily and the wardrobe was old and difficult to open and close. I’d love to continue using this hotel, so improvements in these areas would make it even more enjoyable.

Ideal location for watching CARP's camp. This time I used JR, but it is far from Miyazaki City. The stadium is a 5-minute walk from here. There are nearby dining options and a supermarket, so it's convenient. The Facility has separate toilets and showers. The building itself does not offer much soundproofing. There is complimentary coffee, tea, and green tea service, providing a relaxing space where you can enjoy chatting with people from other regions. The staff provided kind and attentive service with pleasant hospitality. Very friendly! I will use this place again!
