Ayu no Kaze is located in a residential area up a fairly steep hill from downtown Ito. Since the nearest drink vending machine and 7-Eleven are further down the hill, it’s best to buy anything you may need before check-in. We stayed in the Room called “Kochi,” which had a water dispenser. From the Room, you can enjoy panoramic views of Suruga Bay, Hatsushima Island, and Ito Station. Check-in, check-out, and all meals were handled in the Room, and it also came with a private open-air view bath with free-flowing hot spring water—making it a perfect stay-in Accommodation. The bath was slightly compact, but the tub was made of hinoki cypress, and the water was mild and wonderfully warming. Above all, being able to bathe anytime we liked was truly appreciated. Of course, we could also enjoy the scenery from the bath. Amenities covered everything we needed. Each guest is provided one bath towel initially, but extra towels can be brought upon request. We would have liked paper towels at the sink area and chairs in the Room. Meals included not only Izu-style seafood but also delicious beef; they were a satisfying Japanese-Western blend in both taste and portion size. Dessert and coffee were served after both dinner and breakfast as well. All staff members were pleasant, easy to talk to, and friendly. Both pick-up and send-off service were flawless. Even though it was raining, it made sense that they were fully booked.

My first time on the Oga Peninsula. I chose this Hotel based on Reviews and my budget, and it was even better than I expected. The location, service, baths, and food—everything was extremely satisfying. The dining area is a spacious, comfortable restaurant with an ocean view. The Japanese kaiseki dinner was delicious from the appetizers to dessert. Personally, I especially enjoyed the sashimi, simmered sea bream head, and bitter melon & myoga tempura. Breakfast was also a well-balanced Japanese meal. Since I don’t like buffet-style dining, that made it even better for me. I used the baths three times, and maybe my timing was lucky because each time it felt like having them all to myself. In the open-air bath, I could relax while soaking and looking out at the sea. It seems the restaurant is also open for lunch; when I checked the menu, items like shrimp tempura rice bowl and Inaniwa udon looked great. Next time I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay and try lunch as well. The Hotel staff handled everything—from the front desk to restaurant service to Shuttle Service—and I was impressed by how hard they worked. This is a wonderful Hotel with unbeatable value that makes me want to come back again if I get the chance!!

My first trip to Fukui, and my first time driving on snowy roads. I headed there feeling anxious because a heavy snow warning was in effect, but I’m truly glad I went. We stayed for one night and two days to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. The snowy scenery was so beautiful—I could have watched it forever—and we had such a wonderful time. At night, we snuggled up with an electric blanket and slept warmly. In the morning, we played in the snow together, and the jacuzzi was so amazing that we used it twice! We didn’t use the meal service; instead, we shopped near the station, brought everything back, and cooked for ourselves. There were plenty of seasonings available too, so we really enjoyed cooking together. No Meals Included is highly recommended. It was such a wonderful Accommodation that I almost didn’t want anyone else to know about it. The staff member Mima was very kind—by morning they had cleared the snow off our car and even shoveled snow for us—so we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. We’d love to visit again. Thank you very much!!

The soothing sights of the surrounding hills and the sounds of the river and insects were truly relaxing. The room was clean, and dinner was a delightful BBQ on the terrace while enjoying the sunset view. The meal included vegetables, rice balls, pickles, and an abundance of delicious meat. The private bath in a separate building was spacious and refreshing! Morning and evening walks were incredibly pleasant! Breakfast was absolutely amazing—homemade bread, homemade bacon, freshly picked vegetable salad—it made for a luxurious and blissful morning. There were two adorable dogs guarding the fields; they were so friendly and cute! This wonderful accommodation is filled with the kindness of its warm-hearted owner family. We also received plenty of fresh vegetables as souvenirs—they were incredibly delicious. Thank you for such a fantastic time!

The room was neither too spacious nor too small, just the right size for two adults. The room was also clean (though I noticed a long hair on the robe, which concerned me slightly). The bath was an open-air one, and while there were houses a bit further away that made me wonder if they could see in, there were adjustable automatic shutters. When fully lowered, they completely blocked the view from outside and kept out the cold air. Despite snow remaining from the previous day, we could enjoy a warm soak without feeling chilly. The temperature of the bath was just right for relaxing. Concerns: We chose a plan with in-room dining for our meals. However, after grilling meat during dinner, its smell lingered throughout the room until bedtime. While it might have been our oversight as well, future guests opting for this plan might want to keep their bedroom doors closed during meals to avoid this issue. It would be considerate if staff could mention this when serving meals or perhaps provide additional amenities like room sprays alongside air purifiers to enhance comfort further. That said, the meat was tender and delicious; other dishes were also very tasty with portions that felt just right. With free beer dispensers, ice cream machines, drinks in the fridge available at no extra cost, and even foot baths provided—this is overall a wonderful accommodation! Next time I’d love to visit again with my mother. Thank you for your hospitality!

Our family stayed in Shimizu for two nights. Needless to say, the Accommodation building itself was wonderful, but the atmosphere of the entire surrounding village was just as charming. Even before our stay, we started with a hands-on sweets-making experience using agar, and after check-out we wrapped up with a tour of Irisen’s agar factory. Our children loved agar so much that even after returning home from our trip, they’ve been enjoying making desserts every week with the dried agar we bought there. The local regional cuisine we ordered through catering was also delicious, and it was a real treat to enjoy dishes freshly prepared in the kitchen from early morning. It’s a place we’d love to visit again in another season.

There is a unique sense of comfort here. After staying multiple times, it truly feels like our own private villa. The view is stunning and quite rare to find elsewhere. Watching the sunset over the ocean while spending time freely without being bound by schedules is an exceptional experience, and the cleanliness of the accommodation stands out as one of its best features. Cooking utensils and tableware are also abundantly provided. Our dog seems to enjoy it immensely as well, running around on the terrace and in the dog run, then sleeping peacefully on the bed (as dogs often feel uneasy outside their home). A multiple night stay is highly recommended. Next time, we plan to stay for 3–4 days.

When I opened the curtains, the ocean was right there! The ever-changing views of the sea and sky from afternoon into night were amazing. I’d love to stay again.

We arrived by rental car. At first, even with Google Maps we couldn’t find the Accommodation’s parking area and were a bit confused, but when we called the Accommodation, a staff member came to pick us up right away. Everyone on the staff was kind and pleasant. The meals were also delicious. No matter the time of day, the view from our Room of Onomichi’s townscape and Senkoji Temple was truly beautiful. We did notice some noise from footsteps in the hallway and doors opening and closing, but we were still able to rest well. We would love to stay here again next time we visit Onomichi. I was cautious at first because the building is pink and the Facility has a distinctive look. However, due to a typhoon-related change of plans, I ended up staying here—and for the same Accommodation Fee range, it had everything I wanted: 1) two beds (twin), 2) separate bathroom and toilet with a bathtub, 3) a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, 4) a washing machine and gas dryer, 5) plenty of free on-site parking, 6) a microwave, 7) a balcony, and 8) provided tableware. In addition, since my Room was on the 4th floor, it had an ocean view. From the corridor side, I could also see the sunset over Irabu Island. The beds are slightly soft—below what you’d expect at a luxury Hotel—but they are large enough. The provided shampoo, body soap, conditioner, laundry detergent, and dishwashing liquid were not poor quality. The building and Facility are not brand-new but relatively new. Everything was cleaned well. However, it seems that requesting cleaning during your stay costs extra. Room access is via an electronic key; I received a five-character code (numbers and letters) by email. The location is on the Miyakojima side at the base of Irabu Bridge, making it convenient for getting anywhere. If you have a car, there are many restaurants and large stores within about 10 minutes. Accommodation Fees and prices in Miyakojima are higher than on Okinawa’s main island or Ishigaki (though you get experiences worth more than that), so being able to stay at Pink Hibiscus at an affordable rate was great. There aren’t Hotel-style services here, but it’s very practical—especially if you spend all day at the beach or swim in the morning, come back to shower and rest for a while, then head out again in the afternoon.

We were fortunate to have good weather. The previous weekend had a typhoon, and it looked like the following weekend would as well. During the day, we crossed by city bike from Aka Island to Geruma Island and then to Gaiji Island, and after all that effort, we were able to relax from the evening onward. The Room was clean. Dinner on the terrace overlooking the beautiful sea right in front of us was delicious. It must be unique to this island that deer came strolling into the garden.

Although I’ve visited Okinawa many times, this was my first stay here.\nWe chose the Pool Executive Suite (2 Bedrooms), and it was incredibly spacious and open—best of all, we could use the pool anytime!\nThe kids were thrilled, and the adults joined in too; we ended up swimming and playing over and over.\nHaving a washer-dryer in the Room was a huge help—we’d wash and dry our wet clothes right away, then head back to the pool again the next day.\nIt was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t see the ocean because of all the trees in front of the pool, but at night it was fun spotting bats flying around, cats wandering by, and looking for other unusual creatures.\nSince no one could see us, we were able to truly relax without thinking about anything.\n\nThe beach just a short walk away was full of nature, with gentle waves—it was truly beautiful.\nWe snorkeled as a family, and we really appreciated being able to borrow beach chairs and parasols.\nWe went to watch the sunset, and after being told we might be able to see fireworks, we went out for that too. We visited the beach several times—the sound of the waves and peaceful atmosphere felt cleansing. It became our best Okinawa trip ever.\n\nAs for meals: breakfast—the Japanese set meal was absolutely delicious. We chose Japanese breakfast all three mornings of our 3-night stay.\nFor dinner, we tried à la carte at the restaurant once; everything was excellent and we were very satisfied!\n\nIf I had to mention one small point:\nThe Room Facility is perfect overall, but despite having a kitchen and cooking tools, the refrigerator is extremely small—like one you’d find in a Business Hotel...\nWe couldn’t chill wine in it, so we asked to store it in the Hotel cellar. Considering how well-equipped the Room is otherwise, I wish there were a slightly larger refrigerator.\n\nThis is a pleasantly intimate Hotel overall, so I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet stay.\nAll staff members were attentive and wonderful.\nIt turned into our best Okinawa trip ever—we’d love to return someday!

We stayed here during summer vacation with three generations of our family. They arranged our Rooms next to each other and emailed us the meal times in advance, so we felt at ease even before our stay. When we arrived, the staff were very courteous. The view from the window was amazing!!! I thought the meal might be too much, but it was delicious and we enjoyed everything all the way to dessert. The pineapple pudding dessert was especially tasty. When we told them we were going to Inuyama Castle the next day, they printed a map of the area for us and also helped set up table tennis—thank you so much. The Facility is a little old, but our satisfaction more than made up for it!! We would definitely like to stay again.

My return from the airport was late, so I stayed at a Hotel about 30 minutes before reaching home. I expected a beautiful, clean Hotel based on the photos, but it was even nicer in person, and the Room was spacious. The breakfast was so delicious that I was truly impressed. The view was great too, and I was happy to find such a hidden-gem Hotel so close by. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet; it was an amazing meal made by the owner—an egg served on top of incredibly delicious bread. I’ll definitely come again!

This was my second stay, the first in seven years. The Hotel’s atmosphere—sunrises and sunsets from the rooftop and a jungle-like vibe—hasn’t changed, and it made me feel very nostalgic. There were notes explaining various creatures, along with booklet-like materials, and the Room was comfortable. We chose a plan with breakfast included; it’s a simple breakfast buffet, but it felt like eating Okinawan home-style cooking and was truly delicious. Even our children, who usually hardly eat breakfast, said it was tasty and ate a lot. I’m not sure when we’ll be able to visit again, but this is a Hotel I sincerely hope will be here for many years to come.

We were worried right after the 2026 Kumamoto earthquake, but the west coast of Amakusa was unaffected, and my spouse and I were able to travel there safely. The Accommodation building itself is old, with no elevator and simple facilities, but it was kept clean. The staff—especially the owner—were warm and welcoming, so we had a very pleasant stay. Even though the price was low, the meals were far more luxurious than we expected, and every dish was delicious! Because of the earthquake’s impact on other guests’ plans, we didn’t run into anyone else at the bath and could relax comfortably. The only reason it isn’t a perfect rating is its age. If you don’t need a luxurious atmosphere in your Room, it’s more than sufficient. It was a very good Accommodation.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time with our dog. The Room was clean and comfortable, and we loved being able to enjoy the private Onsen whenever we wanted. The staff were kind and helpful, so we felt at ease throughout our stay. Our whole family was able to unwind with our dog, making it a truly enjoyable experience. It also became a great summer vacation memory for our children, and we would love to stay again. Thank you for such a lovely time.

This Hotel is located at the top of a narrow mountain road. It was very quiet, and the soothing music playing throughout the Hotel made it even more relaxing. Unfortunately, it was cloudy, but if there hadn’t been any fog, we would have been able to see the horizon from our Room and enjoy an even more wonderful view. 　The meals were carefully prepared, and both the fish and roast beef were served with vegetables that paired perfectly with each dish—everything was delicious. The dessert was a yogurt mousse (I’m not sure if that’s correct), but it was excellent. We stayed as a family of four, including our son in his 20s, and everyone left feeling full—though we did ask for extra bread. 　We were told they host only three groups per day, and we were able to use the spacious private family bath as well. It was a stay that freed us from everyday busyness and truly felt like an escape. 　The interior furnishings throughout the Hotel were also thoughtfully arranged and had an elegant feel. 　If we have the chance, we would love to visit again. The farming experience and herb picking were truly wonderful. There were so many things we don’t usually get to do, and it became a great memory for both parent and child. The Room was also very clean, and being able to stay comfortably without wearing slippers was especially appreciated when traveling with children.
