I always search on IKYU.com with a focus on “accommodations with great food,” so this time as well I came looking forward to the cuisine. But after actually staying here, what stayed with me most was the hot spring water. The website said the Onsen was wonderful, but once I soaked in it, its appeal far exceeded my expectations. The large public bath had a calm atmosphere wrapped in the warmth of wood, and soaking while listening to the murmuring stream was truly luxurious. The private ceramic-style bath also had a wonderful sense of charm and was excellent. Above all, the quality of the spring water is outstanding. It feels light yet leaves your skin smooth and silky, and that pleasant feeling after bathing lingered for a long time. The next day we stayed at another hot spring accommodation, and comparing them during the same trip made me realize again how unforgettable that indescribable comfort felt after leaving Manyotei’s baths. This is exactly what makes a secluded hot spring so special. The meals were just as I had hoped—each dish made delicious use of local ingredients. In particular, the fresh soba served at the end was thin yet pleasantly firm; as a soba lover, it was exactly to my taste. Breakfast also showed care and creativity in every item. This trip was also with my elderly parents. My father’s legs have grown weaker and he hasn’t been going to large public baths lately, but this time he unusually said he wanted to go. I accompanied him to the Onsen while feeling a bit worried; I couldn’t relax while waiting. But he seemed to really like this water, and both of my parents were able to fully enjoy the hot springs. When traveling with elderly parents, each visit feels like a once-in-a-lifetime encounter—thinking it may be our last. That is why I am truly grateful that we could soak in such wonderful waters, enjoy delicious food, and spend such peaceful time—it remains deeply in my heart. I’m sure it added years to my parents’ lives. Thank you for an exceptional Onsen experience, wonderful meals, and such soothing time. When we visit Fukushima’s nature again, I would love to come back specifically for these waters.

Although it was a last-minute trip, we had a very comfortable stay at this Hotel. The dinner buffet was excellent—Aizu local specialties and everything else were all delicious. My husband said it was the best buffet of any Hotel we have stayed at while traveling. The bath was also spacious and clean. We had a wonderful stay.

The building was old, but I was very satisfied with the meals. The live kitchen changes daily, and during my stay it was Jingisukan (grilled mutton). I would have preferred steak, but the Jingisukan was delicious too. The sashimi was also excellent, and I was very satisfied. The breakfast live-kitchen burgers were tasty as well. The baths were old too, but the view from the open-air bath was amazing. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

I was able to relax and take it easy. I stayed in the South Wing, which was a bit far from the Onsen, but I enjoyed getting there using the inclined elevator. The Facility felt a bit old, but I think that also adds to the Onsen atmosphere. What stood out most was how delicious the vegetable dishes at the buffet were. The roast beef and crab were great too, but above all, the vegetables were excellent and very satisfying. The staff greeted me every time we passed each other, which made my stay very comfortable. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a family to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. From the moment we checked in, we were amazed by the spacious, wonderful Room you prepared for us. When we checked out, we learned that it had been upgraded free of charge, which truly moved us even more. At dinner, you even prepared a fruit platter to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our anniversary—thank you so much. Our whole family was touched by your warm thoughtfulness. The Onsen also offered a great variety, and we enjoyed bathing many times. Most memorable of all was the dinner buffet. Not only was every dish delicious, but each time limited-quantity items were announced one after another, we found ourselves excitedly wondering what would come next as we enjoyed our meal. Thanks to the Room, the Onsen, the meals, and above all the warm hospitality of your staff, this trip became an unforgettable memory for our entire family. After returning home, my husband and children told me, “Thanks to you, Mom, it was such a wonderful trip. Let’s do it again.” That made this trip especially joyful for me as well. I sincerely appreciate all of your kindness and consideration. We look forward to visiting again as a family someday. Thank you very much.

All staff were efficient and provided pleasant service. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

The riverside open-air bath was closed, but we used the outdoor Onsen reached by going down 300 steps. The staircase is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. We were told it’s open until 11:00 p.m., but we were worried about our footing at night, so we went in the evening and again in the morning. While soaking, we enjoyed the river’s flow and the mountains, listening to the sound of the water. The stairs were tough, but I truly felt glad we came. The semi-open-air bath down about 20 steps was also wonderful, with a clear view of the mountains right in front of you. The temperature was perfect for me. I didn’t expect much from the indoor bath, but it had large windows and felt very pleasant; there was a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, and a hotter pool where we could relax comfortably. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind and welcoming. Dinner came in many small dishes. The beef and the meatballs in the hot pot were delicious. Even simple items like the beef sauce, hot-pot broth, and pickles were all excellent. The portions were just right for us as a couple. I think you need to be fairly fit to visit an outdoor Onsen that requires going down 300 steps—but I’m really glad we did. This isn’t about the Accommodation itself, but both the bus driver from Nasushiobara Station and the person at Shiobara Onsen Terminal who explained a map of Shiobara Onsen were incredibly friendly, which made our memories of this trip even better. We stayed at Hotel Hanamaki while visiting Shohei Ohtani’s alma mater during our trip to visit family graves. We stayed for one night from June 24, and we were very happy with the excellent value for money. For dinner, we enjoyed crab, steak, tempura, and a customizable kama-meshi (I chose one loaded with crab). What impressed me most was breakfast—it was easily the best I’ve had among all the places I’ve stayed. There was delicious rice and a wide selection of both Japanese and Western dishes. Even at 65 years old, I was completely satisfied and even went back for seconds—especially for the freshly made omelet, grated yam (tororo), salted seafood (shiokara), mekabu seaweed, minced tuna (negitoro), pickles, and more. We were also able to explore several different baths, and my wife and I made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

It was a very clean and relaxing Hotel. The service was courteous, and it’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again. There are plenty of activities for children, so everyone from kids to adults will be very satisfied. Since there is a lot to explain at check-in, it’s understandable that it takes time for each guest, but there were only two staff members assisting, so a long line formed. I think it would be even better if this could be improved.

We visited as three generations of our family. The children enjoyed the latter half of summer vacation with marshmallows by the campfire, badminton and fireworks in the garden, and the pool. It was also great for parents to have tasty water and coffee available self-service in the lobby. The buffet at this Accommodation was thoughtfully varied, so the children never got bored and were very satisfied. The tempura and roast beef at dinner, as well as fried bread and banana milk at breakfast, were all delicious. The staff were also very pleasant. This is an Accommodation we would like to visit again.

It was busy because it was during the summer vacation season, but the bath was spacious, so it didn’t feel too crowded. The food was delicious, but I felt our table was a little far away. Overall, it was good!

Due to bad weather, I arrived much later than my planned check-in time, but they accommodated me. My vehicle was about the size of a microbus, but they still allowed me to park, which was a huge help. Another place refused because of my vehicle size, so I really appreciated how willingly this Accommodation handled it. For a family of four, the 10-tatami Room was very spacious, and the kids were thrilled. The Facility is a bit old... The windows are thin and you can hear outside noise easily; the sound of rain echoes pleasantly in the Room. The shower pressure in the bath was a slight downside... Other than that, I have no complaints. An Accommodation that lets you park a vehicle of my size is invaluable, so I’ll stay here again next time. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a two-generation family of four. Since my mother has difficulty walking and a barrier-free Room happened to be available, we chose this Room. It was very convenient, on the same floor as the lobby lounge. The Room was furnished as shown in the photos, but some pieces felt a bit in the way for moving around. The toilet door was heavy, and for an in-room toilet it felt oddly like a hospital-style door. There was also a large mirror directly in front of it; the placement wasn’t great because it was on the wall by the toilet and could be seen from the sofa while resting, which I didn’t like. The Room itself is very spacious, which is great. You can step out onto the balcony through the bay window and enjoy fresh forest air, which felt wonderful. The view wasn’t great since we were on the 3rd floor, but in return, the view from the 6th-floor bath area was unbelievably beautiful—something I’d never seen before—and I highly recommend using the baths. The food offered many dishes, and because the lobby area is spacious, getting around during meals was smooth—it really felt like being at a resort. Drink servers were set up so you could get beverages in various areas, and overall service was excellent. We could feel thoughtful service at every moment and truly enjoyed all-inclusive stay. For activities, there seem to be table tennis, karaoke, tennis, etc. Overall, it felt like most guests were Japanese.

I stayed here to relax at an Onsen Accommodation. The homemade, heartfelt dishes were truly delicious. Dinner was great, but breakfast was especially memorable—the simmered royal fern, Tochio fried tofu and bamboo shoots, and simmered potatoes were outstanding. The potato salad was also excellent; the woman next to me had finished hers and asked for seconds, so I requested an extra serving as well. After bathing, I opened the Room window and enjoyed the pleasant night breeze from the satoyama countryside, soothed by a chorus of frogs. I was very satisfied!

I stayed here again for the first time in about 25 years, and the hot spring water quality was just as wonderful as I remembered. The water has a silky, slightly viscous feel yet remains light, and my skin stayed moisturized even after getting out. The guest room had been renovated and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered just the right variety of dishes and was delicious.

After staying at Mikazuki Hotel in Chiba (Katsuura and Kamogawa) last year and the year before, we visited Nikko Kinugawa Hotel Mikazuki for the first time this year. With the all-inclusive plan, we could enjoy a welcome lunch right after arrival and use the pool as well, and the kids seemed to have a great time. Both Japanese and international staff provided excellent service, with thoughtful attention throughout, which really impressed us. I was excited about the all-you-can-drink alcohol from the welcome lunch onward, and my wife and grandparents also loved how clean the Hotel was and how good the service was—so we would definitely like to stay again! Thank you very much for taking care of us for two days.

Four of us stayed here on a girls’ trip. We booked a guaranteed Mt. Fuji view Room and were thrilled to see such a beautiful Mt. Fuji! The Room had a nostalgic Showa-era feel, but it came with basic amenities and tea, and since we only stayed one night and didn’t spend much time in the Room, it was more than sufficient. The meals (with breakfast and dinner included) were delicious, and there was so much food we couldn’t finish it all even though we wanted to try more. In the morning, we could hear Japanese bush warblers singing, which felt wonderfully refreshing, and seeing majestic Mt. Fuji made it an unforgettable memory! If we have the chance, we’d love to visit again.

We stayed here for our elementary school-aged daughter’s birthday trip. She requested a buffet, so we looked for a place with a menu that both kids and adults could enjoy, and this is where we ended up. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes featuring local ingredients, and we were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. Not only that, but check-in and check-out were smooth, the welcome service was excellent, and the playroom—clean and well stocked with plenty of activities—was always lively with guests. The Onsen was slightly lukewarm, which was perfect for our family since we don’t like very hot baths. The staff kept a comfortable distance; there wasn’t much small talk, but whenever we asked something they responded very politely, which made our stay pleasant. The next day we took a walk through Sosenkyo Gorge right in front of the hotel. It was easy to access, and we were able to enjoy ourselves even after checking out. Thank you very much. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that the parking lot felt small for how busy it gets; when larger cars line up, getting in and out can be difficult. It would be even more comfortable if it could be expanded or improved.

Thank you for so many wonderful moments. Thanks to the smiles and hospitality of all the staff, we were able to spend an unforgettable time during our stay. As a dual-income couple, it’s been hard for us to coordinate time off, but at 54 we finally made our trip to Hokkaido happen. We will definitely visit again. Would spring or autumn be nice as well? It was truly an exceptional experience—wonderful time, atmosphere, and cuisine.

The bath in the Room was great, and the private open-air bath was also wonderful. The meals were served as a course, so we were able to enjoy them while having a nice conversation. Although it can’t be helped that the elevator and other Facilities felt a bit old, everything was well cleaned overall, so we had a very comfortable stay. It was a very satisfying trip for us as a couple. Thank you very much.
