Both the Room and bath, as well as the cuisine and customer service, were of a very high standard at this Accommodation. In particular, the private dining room was a wonderful space with a refined sense of style. The reflection of the waterway’s surface on the navy-blue wall inside was truly magical. I also felt it would be nice to raise the blinds a little at breakfast to enjoy it. The locally made cookies provided in the Room were also delicious. This is an Accommodation where I’d like to stay again, even in a different Room.

I stayed in a newly renovated Room, and it was wonderful. The in-room perks were excellent. In particular, the all-you-can-eat gelato was an incredibly generous service—perfect after the Onsen—and I enjoyed trying many different flavors. Everything was delicious. The pre-dinner aperitif can be chosen from the menu, and the lounge coffee machine is truly high-quality, so I used it many times. Both the quality and quantity of the meals were very satisfying, and what impressed me most was the staff. There were many young team members, but everyone’s hospitality was outstanding. Some staff members spent a long time chatting with elderly guests because they were approached for conversation, yet they responded without showing any displeasure at all—I was genuinely impressed. You can also enjoy two different types of Onsen water, and I think this Accommodation offers excellent value for money. I will definitely return again. Thank you very much for taking such great care of me.

All the staff were kind and helpful; the meals were outstanding, the Onsen was wonderful, and every aspect of the service showed thoughtful attention to detail—truly a lovely Accommodation.\nI also loved the tasteful selection of plants in the garden; the autumn berries added beautiful color, and I wanted to use it as inspiration for my own garden, so I took photos and used Google to find out the names of some of the trees.\nIn the morning, a varied tit even came by to visit, and I found myself soothed by this beautiful garden that never got boring no matter how long I looked at it.\nEverything was perfect from start to finish, and we were able to enjoy a truly luxurious time.\nI’d love to visit again in a different season. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. We were thrilled to stay for the first time in a Japanese-style room with a jacuzzi, which is usually very hard to secure a Reservation, and my cousin and I were overjoyed. We could also admire the Mid-Autumn full moon through the large open picture window at the front—it was an unforgettable, moving moment. Throughout the property, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches everywhere: simple arrangements of wildflowers and fine pieces on display that we could enjoy as we walked to the restaurant and public bath. The moon-viewing décor in the lobby lounge, as well as the magnificent folding screen and large floral arrangement at the entrance, were all wonderful. Next time, I would love to visit with my husband and family, including my son and his wife. Thank you very much.

Very pleasant and welcoming service, delicious meals, an easy-to-use Room, and a Moor Onsen. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. I was impressed to be served herring prepared with fine cuts like hamo bone-cutting—truly Hokkaido. I loved the gazpacho so much I wanted to take it home! That said, being from Kansai, I found the broth flavor of the surinagashi a little mild. Also, the duvet felt a bit heavy. I’d love to visit again someday.

This was my sixth visit in total, and I’m grateful to be moved every single time. Thanks to the variety of room options and the warm hospitality of all the staff, I’m able to enjoy that special “escape from everyday life” that I value when traveling. What impresses me most each time is the food. Dinner in particular has never been the same even once, and the seasonal-themed dishes have become the highlight of my stay. Considering today’s rising costs for all kinds of ingredients, I’m truly impressed and thankful to see the chef’s exceptional creativity and ingenuity reflected in every meal. One note of caution: because the food is so outstanding, you may end up drinking more than usual—so if you love alcohol, a bit of self-control is recommended (lol).

It was such a wonderful stay that five stars aren’t enough. Of course, the room, hot spring baths, and meals were excellent, but what stood out most this time was the heartfelt hospitality from everyone on staff, especially our butler. From the reservation stage onward, we felt your thoughtful attention to detail, and we were able to relax and enjoy every moment during our meals as well. Thanks to you, it became an unforgettable final trip for just the two of us as a couple. We were truly happy. Thank you so much. We already want to come back again (haha).

I love traveling solo to Onsen and visit places all over the whole country. I’d heard of Umegashima Onsen, but for some reason it had never been on my list—what a loss, haha. Last month I stayed at Umegashima Onsen for the first time (at a different Accommodation), and it quickly became one of my favorite Onsen. This time as well, it was great that they only accept a small number of guests and offer private reserved baths. That said, I like to soak in the Onsen whenever I want as many times as I like, so I often choose an Accommodation with an in-Room bath or one that’s available 24 hours. Unfortunately, here it was only available until 11:00 p.m. Also, having to ask the staff each time to get the key made me feel hesitant. I wish I could use it more freely without worrying about bothering anyone. The meals were absolutely delicious. The ingredients were different from what I’m used to in the Izu Peninsula or Hakone, which made everything feel very fresh.

I was looking for an Accommodation to stay at an Onsen during Silver Week while touring by motorcycle, and chose this Hotel because it had such high Review ratings. It turned out to be the perfect choice—I’m truly glad I stayed here. The Room was spacious, spotless, and had a great view with an amazing open feel. Even the water in the Room tasted great. The Onsen after relaxing in the Room was wonderful—especially the open-air bath. The hot bath temperature was so comfortable I could have stayed in forever. I was also surprised by how large the indoor bath was, almost like a pool. The washing area was clean as well. The buffet meals offered a wide variety of dishes with well-balanced flavors, and I could enjoy both breakfast and dinner at a relaxed pace in a quiet atmosphere. The domestic beef teppan-yaki for dinner was tender with just the right amount of fat—refined and delicious—and really showed how high-quality the dining is. While many Hotels these days have lots of foreign staff at the front desk, that wasn’t the case here, and I found the service very pleasant. With excellent Onsen, food, and well-equipped Facilities throughout the building, this is an Accommodation I would recommend to many people.

We stayed to celebrate a birthday. The Shuttle Service between the nearest station and the Hotel for both arrival and departure was extremely helpful, and we truly appreciated the driver’s hospitality. We were very satisfied with the Room and the private bath, the meals were delicious, and all of the staff were warm and welcoming, allowing us to relax at ease. We would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

After enjoying canoeing in Kushiro, we arrived and were immediately impressed by the spacious, beautiful entrance. The lobby, centered around an irori hearth, felt wonderfully open and soothing with its charming design. Every member of the staff was truly welcoming, making our stay relaxing and comfortable. The milk soft-serve and milk were rich and flavorful, and the morning daifuku and ozenzai were also delicious. This is our number one Accommodation we’d love to visit again.

I was a bit worried because the building is old, but the room in the main building was well maintained, clean, and full of classic charm. It felt airy and comfortable. The hallway restroom, on the other hand, was modern—like stepping into the present day. The first day was cloudy, but we explored the property and enjoyed walking around while feeling its history. We had fun spotting traces of films and Studio Ghibli here and there. Whenever we passed staff members, they kindly shared explanations and helpful tips. Their affection for the inn really came through, and it made me feel that this is how the place has been carefully preserved over time. The bath temperature was perfect—I could have stayed in for hours—and afterward I cooled off in the evening breeze while enjoying the view. It was a truly relaxing stay. Dinner was served bento-style, but everything tasted great: beautifully presented with a good variety, and more filling than it looked—very satisfying. The flavors were gentle with a clear dashi taste rather than overly strong seasoning like many modern hotels. Since it’s such a photogenic inn, lots of people came to take pictures in front of the main building—and I happily joined in too. A soothing place filled with history and character—this is an inn I’d love to visit again.

What I was most satisfied with this time was, of course, the Onsen. The water had a strong sulfur scent—exactly what you’d expect from Manza Onsen. The scenic open-air bath with its incredible views felt amazing, and I ended up going in five times during my stay. I’ve always loved Manza Onsen, and this visit reminded me just how great the water is here. Meals were buffet-style, with roast beef as the highlight. It wasn’t especially luxurious, but considering the Accommodation Fee overall, both the selection and taste were more than satisfying. The all-inclusive plan was also a big plus. Drinks are unlimited, and you can enjoy snacks and ice cream as well. There’s table tennis and other activity corners in the building; on this day, the activity was calligraphy. It was nice to have things to do besides the Onsen, and I could truly relax. The staff were polite and attentive, and the facilities were kept very clean, so I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The Room had both air conditioning and a fan. The refrigerator is empty so you can use it freely. There are vending machines in the building as well, and I appreciated that they also offer a late-night snack service. I stayed in late September, but because of the high elevation it gets quite cold in the mornings and at night. If you’re visiting from now on, bringing an extra layer to throw on will help you feel prepared. If the weather is good, you can also enjoy a beautiful starry sky at night. Rather than coming for luxury dining, I’d recommend this Accommodation for anyone who wants to take their time enjoying Manza’s distinctive sulfur springs, spectacular open-air baths with views, and an all-inclusive stay. Manza’s hot spring water really is outstanding—I’d love to come back again just for the Onsen.

From check-in to departure, the attentive service was excellent and we were very satisfied. The only drawback was the condition of the access road; we encountered oncoming cars once on arrival and twice on departure, but managed without any issues. If given the opportunity, we would like to stay again.

I have stayed here many times. Among the Onsen in Zao, the water quality is excellent, and Tsuruya’s baths suit me perfectly. There are also four types of private baths, so you can relax and enjoy them at your own pace. The food is incredibly delicious—every meat dish is generous in portion size and so tasty that you’ll want to eat it again right away. This time I had the Zao beef steak; it was very tender and wonderful with a variety of flavors such as lemon butter and wasabi. I will definitely visit again. A Multiple Night Stay is also recommended.

This is a perfect Accommodation no matter when you visit. It was Kyoto in extreme heat, but thanks to your thoughtful care in many ways, we had a wonderful time. The pike conger is a must in this season; it is an additional-order dish, but highly recommended. We are planning to visit again in autumn.

This is our third year in a row staying here, and thanks to you we were able to relax again this time. The delicious sweets and tea served upon arrival, the beautiful greenery of the trees visible throughout the property, the clean and comfortable Room, the spacious open-air bath in the Room, the large public baths and private baths—each with its own unique atmosphere—and the meals that were a delight to look at and, of course, tasted wonderful—everything was outstanding. We are also grateful to all of your staff for their consistently pleasant hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

I was immediately captivated by the rural scenery from the Room. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and we also used the private open-air bath. Every area was spotlessly cleaned, making it very pleasant. The in-Room amenities were thoughtfully prepared, and there was nothing missing—I felt you could arrive empty-handed and still enjoy a comfortable stay. I was especially impressed to find single-use packets of laundry detergent among the amenities; it really showed how considerate this Hotel is.

I stayed again last month—this must be around my fifth visit. Thank you as always. It’s such a quiet inn that I can truly relax. I usually book the plan without dinner. Lately I’ve been eating only a little in the evenings, so I don’t add it, but if there were a simple hot-spring “healing” set meal (something like soup and three small dishes), I’d love to try it (a bit of a luxury request). It was a stay-at-the-inn trip, but this time my room supported Netflix (maybe it did before as well?), so I was able to watch an entire drama series I’d been wanting to see!! That was really appreciated. I love hot springs and travel several times a month around eastern Japan—from Aomori down through Nagano and Yamanashi—and this place is by far my favorite right now. You can really feel how sincerely this inn is run (maybe that’s because I’m a business owner myself). Everything is extremely clean, and I heard the baths are cleaned daily. The rooms are old but renovated, the bathroom areas are comfortable, and of course the hot spring water is free-flowing. There’s plenty of it too—such a luxury. Since I try to visit during quieter times, the large public bath is often empty as well, which makes for an incredibly soothing and peaceful stay. I’m grateful for these rates while maintaining this level of quality. Breakfast also offers many healthy-looking items including local specialties. There are homemade dishes from the inn mixed in too—I love that. Many of the staff are from overseas, but everyone is very pleasant—honestly much better than some poorly trained Japanese staff at other hotels. The location/access is excellent as well, making it easy to come on short notice. Whenever I think “I want to soak in an onsen,” I end up booking right away (lol). I’d like to visit again often—before ski season gets busy. Thank you very much.

We stayed again this time with my elderly parents. They are both big fans of Zabo, and had been looking forward to the trip from the moment we booked. We truly had a wonderful time, including the shuttle service, and we sincerely thank you. The comfort of the room, the delicious meals, the hot spring that left our skin silky smooth, and above all the exceptional thoughtfulness of the staff made my parents extremely happy. We would love to visit again.
