I stayed here even though it had just opened and there wasn’t much information available yet. To put it modestly, it was an outstanding inn. Impeccably clean throughout, with a soothing scent of wood in the building, and exceptional hospitality that makes guests feel truly relaxed—an incredibly comfortable place to stay. The private hot-spring bath had a wonderful natural aroma and a charming atmosphere (it was cleaned frequently, so it was comfortable no matter when I went). The indoor bath smelled pleasantly of hinoki cypress, and the spacious open-air bath in the large public bath area was especially refreshing. The building beautifully blends old and new. The guest rooms aren’t huge, but they’re well laid out and very cozy. I was satisfied with everything, but what stood out most was the food. Each dish was carefully prepared, featuring local Izu ingredients with creative twists that gave every course its own character. It wasn’t just delicious—it was exciting. They were also extremely thoughtful about ingredients I can’t eat; instead of making casual substitutions, they served heartfelt dishes that truly impressed me. Breakfast was also excellent—wonderfully prepared with health in mind. All of the staff were genuinely pleasant, and throughout the property you can see thoughtful touches designed to help guests enjoy a happy stay. I’m deeply grateful for such a comfortable experience. It may not be widely known yet, but I suspect it will soon become an inn that’s impossible to book. I’d love to visit again.

We stayed at Albas rather than the main building. Everything was spotless, and the sauna, jacuzzi, and loft were all wonderful! Sunrise may be hard to catch, but we could see the sunset and it was truly amazing.\nHowever, perhaps because the main building is a bit older, we noticed several spiders on the window during our meal, which bothered us a little. Other than that, the food was delicious and it’s a place we’d love to visit again. Thank you!

At the very end of summer vacation, my husband and son insisted on coming here for glamping. As a woman, I was honestly a bit nervous about the Facility and meals—but it was simply the best. 【Check-in】 They explained the Facility to us. At the marché, there were vibrant vegetables and even seafood in a large tank! Some items are free, and others can be exchanged with coins you receive—choosing what to get was so exciting. We booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, but the portions were incredible. Even my big-eating husband and son had more than enough with what was included in the Plan! (Any unused coins could be saved for Shizuoka souvenirs or even kept for our next stay.) In the firewood area, there were many different types of wood. The Room already has firewood for cooking, but here you can choose wood to enjoy different sounds and aromas. 【Room】 It felt spotless, and we had no worries about odors or temperature. There are two BBQ areas—one indoors and one outdoors. The indoor side (with an earthen-floor style space) has a kitchen and a large ventilation duct, plus air conditioning, so smoke doesn’t come into the living area. The Room was extremely clean and beautiful. I expected some bugs or smells with glamping—and heat in summer—but it was surprisingly comfortable. There’s a double-sink vanity, two types of hair dryers (including a Repronizer), and even hair irons provided. In addition to pajamas, they also provide samue loungewear for dinner (for both adults and children), so there’s no need to take home clothes that smell like food. 【Onsen & Sauna】 There is an Onsen connected directly to both indoor and outdoor baths, plus a barrel sauna and an impressive cold plunge pool. Ponchos and hats are also available. The bedroom is separated from the bath/changing area/vanity area, so it works well even for two families traveling together. 【Meals】 The commercial refrigerator was stocked with juices, alcoholic drinks, and ice cream! With stylish camping gear like skillets and mess tins—along with ingredients & recipes—our 10-year-old son enthusiastically cooked for us. The thick Shizuoka beef was so tender you barely needed teeth… even the abalone was truly soft! For breakfast you can choose Japanese or Western style; either way it was delicious and satisfying. All of the staff were very kind. We enjoyed luxury-Hotel-level comfort while still experiencing the freedom that makes glamping special. We’ll definitely be back when the season changes!

A quiet accommodation in Higashiyoshino Village. The very spacious Japanese garden is well-maintained. You can only hear the sound of cicadas. The accommodation is a historic building with a grand structure. Facilities such as water systems have been renovated for a comfortable stay. For dinner, we enjoyed shabu-shabu made with branded pork, which was tender and delicious without any scum forming. The private hinoki cypress bath allowed us to relax at our own pace.

This is a Ryokan where you can fully enjoy a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. Service was handled mainly by just two people: the proprietress and someone who seemed to be the manager. Aside from us as a couple, there was only one family of three, so we felt they probably accept only about four groups per day. The building is said to be nearly 100 years old, so some age is unavoidable, but the toilets had washlets and Wi‑Fi worked as well. We had no particular inconveniences. Both the kaiseki dinner and the Shokado bento breakfast were delicious, and since we had recently grown tired of large buffet halls, we were very satisfied. There are three Onsen baths including an open-air bath; we used two of them. At first the water was a bit too hot to get in right away, but we adjusted it by adding cold water. The water quality was good. It may not suit those who prioritize newness and convenience, but for those from the Showa generation it felt nostalgic and was more than satisfying as an Accommodation. We were a little worried because there are extremely few Reviews, but we’re glad we stayed here.

Our first trip to Yakushima. Traveling with my elderly mother made us a bit nervous, but we were truly able to relax in HANAMANA’s wonderful cottage. The views of the sea and mountains from the beautifully maintained garden were amazing, and we also enjoyed meeting the free-roaming cats and chickens. The interior was stylish and comfortable, and we are deeply grateful for your thoughtful care toward my mother. If we have the chance to visit Yakushima again, we would love to stay here again. Thank you. As a repeat guest, I always stay here. This time, a new Western-style room was added, and I was curious to see how it would be. I was impressed by the attention to detail in the design of the bed, sofa, walls, and artwork. The accommodation has always offered great drinks, Onsen experiences, and heartfelt hospitality. Seeing everyone at the accommodation working hard gave me energy as well. There are still areas in this region that will take time to recover fully. To support Noto Peninsula together with everyone else, I look forward to enjoying delicious meals, Onsen experiences, and heartfelt service again in the future.

Teradomari offers a wide range of Hotels and Ryokan along its long coastline, making it hard to choose, but I was drawn to Hokushinkan, nestled in the mountains a little away from the shore. This renovated former therapeutic Accommodation features two types of lukewarm baths and only seven Rooms, which sounded perfect for a quiet stay, so I chose a Room with a private bath. The Room we stayed in had tasteful, refined interiors, and from the window we enjoyed fresh greenery in the mountains and garden as well as small birds. No slippers are needed inside the building. Both breakfast and dinner were beautifully presented and delicious, allowing us to relax and spend our time peacefully. We would love to return as a couple for a Multiple Night Stay next time. (We were so full that we couldn’t finish the rice and miso soup, so we’d like to try again.)

I visited Hita on a touring trip, bought a bento, and stayed without meals. The room was so spacious it felt like too much for one person, and I thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs—an open-air bath and a private family bath the next morning. There were two restaurants nearby, so I plan to try them next time I stay.

This Accommodation is surrounded by nature, very clean, and offers attentive service. The backyard is set up for camping, and the Facilities felt well equipped. We took walks around the neighborhood in the morning and evening, and there were hardly any people. The birdsong and the scent of spring made it a soothing time—my elderly mother felt the same way. The staff were also very pleasant, so we had a comfortable trip.

The breathtaking fresh greenery seen through the picture window was wonderful, and I was also able to fully indulge in the luxurious quality of the Onsen itself. I look forward to staying again.

The staff’s hospitality was outstanding—kind, attentive, and refined. We were very satisfied. The camper van interior was also clean, and the bed was more than spacious enough. The wooden deck was roomy as well, and you can enjoy drinks from the restaurant there. The staff takes care of everything for the campfire. If you go to the beachside restaurant late, the menu options become limited, so we recommend going earlier. The Onsen restaurant menu is delicious and beautifully presented. The Onsen facilities are clean and include areas where you can relax; even families with children could easily spend a full day there. Overall, the atmosphere was wonderful.

I learned about this Hotel through the Sosui and Otomasa connection and decided I absolutely had to visit, so I stayed here. I’ve long been interested in fermentation and rice koji and have been studying it, so I was really looking forward to it. Dinner was, of course, all about fermentation and koji—and it was even more delicious than I expected; I was truly impressed. As a sauna lover, I was also excited for the sauna, and since there are only a few Rooms, it turned out to be completely private! It was one of the best “reset” experiences I’ve ever had in a sauna. The water provided was also silica-rich natural mineral water. The Room was quiet, spacious, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing. On top of that, I got to try making shio-koji and heard so much about koji from the professionals at the Facility—making this a truly meaningful stay. From here on, I’d like to get even more deeply involved in the world of koji. Thank you very much.

The exterior looks old, but the inside has been renovated and is clean. Day-use bathing also seems popular, so it was crowded in the evening, but at night it became quiet with only overnight guests. The Room felt a bit dated, but it was well cleaned. There were dinosaur figures in the Room, which made our child happy. We were a little worried since no meals were included, but the restaurant was open, so we used it for dinner. It would have been even better if breakfast had been available. The toilets were shared, but they were never crowded and we could use them without worrying about others. The staff served us with warm smiles, and I think it’s a welcoming, homey Accommodation.

The location was excellent, and the Onsen and meals were wonderful. We were also lucky to have great weather—thank you for helping make our stay such an enjoyable and memorable time.

The entire Facility had a modern, stylish atmosphere and felt very clean, making for a truly comfortable stay. What stood out most was the dining. Not only were the ingredients excellent, but the presentation was beautiful and creative, with thoughtful attention even to the tableware. It was a feast for the eyes as well, and every dish was delicious. The Onsen was spacious, allowing me to relax at ease. After dinner, there was also a service where you can grind your own coffee beans and enjoy freshly brewed coffee—such thoughtful touches were wonderful. The bed in the Room was large and very comfortable for a good night’s rest. Everything—from the Facility and meals to the Onsen and guest Room—was highly satisfying, making this Accommodation easy to recommend for anyone looking for a calm, relaxing getaway.

The hot spring water quality was excellent, and since bathing is limited to up to five guests at a time, we were able to soak and relax at our own pace. The soothing sound of the river was very calming, and we could unwind while feeling close to nature.

My sister and I stayed for one night. I’ve always loved the gentle, lukewarm waters of Furuyu Onsen and its soothing mineral quality, so I made a Reservation hoping for a quiet Ryokan. Since the price was reasonable for a holiday weekend, I didn’t expect too much, but everything was five-star. The place was clean and well stocked with amenities, and the complimentary coffee was delicious. Both dinner and breakfast were lightly seasoned and truly excellent—we were impressed. We’d love to stay again. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality.

This Accommodation sits at the highest point of Arifuku Onsen in Gotsu City, Shimane Prefecture. I stayed here eight years ago and returned this time. It used to be a historic, retro inn, but after the renovation it has been transformed into a wonderful Onsen Accommodation that beautifully blends tasteful interiors with a nostalgic atmosphere. Dinner was a full-course meal at a nearby Italian restaurant included in the Plan. Despite being stylish, they also provided chopsticks, and every dish was carefully prepared with delicate seasoning—everything was truly delicious. Breakfast was also very good, though I would have liked one more side dish (such as dried fish). The Onsen water has a silky, slightly slippery feel—perhaps that’s why it’s known as “beautifying” water. I’ve visited many hot spring areas, but this texture is quite rare. There is also a glass window in the dining room floor where you can see the source spring. On Saturday nights, it seems you can watch Iwami Kagura at the nearby Kagura hall just steps from the Accommodation. Unfortunately, my stay wasn’t on a Saturday so I couldn’t see it, but next time I’d like to make my Reservation for a Saturday.
