This time, my spouse and I traveled around Kumamoto by rental car with our two sons and stayed in Kurokawa Onsen. The atmosphere of the entire Onsen town was very calm—quiet, charming, and a wonderful place to relax at a leisurely pace. The quality of the Onsen water was excellent, and we felt deeply relaxed after bathing. The Ryokan staff were kind and attentive, and the Room was clean and comfortable. It was a very satisfying stay for our whole family and one of the most memorable highlights of our trip to Kumamoto. We highly recommend this Onsen destination for family trips as well.

At check-in, the front desk staff kindly and thoroughly explained the in-house Facilities and services, which allowed us to start our stay with complete peace of mind. My wife has a shellfish allergy, and we are truly grateful that the restaurant’s head chef thoughtfully adjusted the menu for us. In particular, dinner on the second night was even more outstanding than the first, and we were deeply moved by the extra care put into each dish. While we were taking photos inside the property, a seasoned and very kind staff member noticed us and spoke to us. They gladly took photos for us, thanks to which we were able to keep wonderful memories of our trip. We are foreigners and can hardly speak Japanese. Even so, throughout our stay we received warm, attentive service that made us forget any language barrier. This stay reminded me once again of what I felt when I first visited a Japanese Ryokan years ago: uniquely Japanese hospitality that truly cherishes travelers and makes them feel as safe and comfortable as if they were at home. It is truly an excellent Ryokan. We sincerely appreciate the heartfelt hospitality of all the staff. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you again for such a wonderful time.

I visited by car with my husband and son on our first family trip in a while. We were delighted by the elegant lobby and lounge, beautifully decorated with flowers and furnishings, and by the stunning view of the cove from the windows. The cave-style bath we had been looking forward to, as well as the panoramic bath, were wonderfully relaxing, with silky-smooth water as we enjoyed the scenery. For dinner, we had an exquisite kaiseki course in a private dining room. We chose sashimi made from locally caught fish of the day, and every dish was outstanding—beautifully presented with impressive table settings. We also enjoyed freshly grilled fugu prepared right in front of us, along with a sake tasting. After dinner, we played darts, enjoyed wine at the bar, and went back to the baths—making the most of our stay. Our Room also had a fantastic view, and we were able to truly unwind. This is an unforgettable Accommodation that I would love to visit again.

I had long wanted to visit this Hotel, but it was a bit far and I rarely had the chance. This time, I was finally able to stay for two nights. The sky was cloudy and looked like it might rain, so I was a little worried about whether we could enjoy the view, but there was no need to worry at all. We were able to take in stunning scenery, and it was well worth the effort to make the trip. The meals and baths were excellent, and all of the staff were very pleasant, making our stay truly comfortable. It is a wonderful Hotel that makes me want to visit again.

I stayed here at the end of my trip to Hokkaido. The places I stayed before were wonderful as well, but this Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel was outstanding. Every dish at the buffet was delicious. I wanted to try more, but I got full and couldn’t eat everything, which I still regret a little. The kamameshi rice was especially good, and the meat was excellent too—in fact, everything I tried tasted great. When I went to the Onsen early in the morning (just after 5 a.m.), I saw staff baking bread. I had some at breakfast, and it was also very tasty. The moor Onsen had a gentle natural scent and a wonderfully silky feel on the skin; one night wasn’t enough. This time I couldn’t take my time sightseeing around Tokachi, so I would love to come back again next year. More than anything, what left me with such a great impression of the Hotel was an employee at the souvenir shop “Tamatebako.” The trainee wearing a training name badge had an amazing smile and provided excellent service. When I told them how pleasant they were, they responded with another lovely smile. Of course it comes down to personal qualities as well, but it also made me feel that the Hotel’s management philosophy must be excellent for staff like this to grow here. All of the other staff were wonderful too, and it reminded me that not only the Onsen and food but also people’s hospitality is what truly shapes a trip. Thank you for helping me make such great memories—I would like to stay again next year as well.

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, all of the staff were extremely courteous, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. They also kindly helped with a birthday surprise, which made my daughter very happy and turned it into a truly memorable birthday. The room had a calm atmosphere, and we could take our time enjoying the hot spring bath in the room. The hot spring in the large public bath also had a wonderful view and was very relaxing. Every dish was delicious, and the beautiful seasonal presentation was lovely as well. We enjoyed not only the taste but also how it looked, and we were able to take our time over the meal. I’m truly glad we chose this place for such an important day—my daughter’s birthday. It was a wonderful inn that made us want to return on another special occasion.

Not only are the baths spacious, they are also kept extremely clean, making for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating time. The Shuttle Service staff, as well as all team members, were excellent, and the in-Room dining was delicious—there is nothing to complain about. When we visit Arima Onsen again, we will stay here. This is the oldest hot spring in the San’in region, and it’s also a natural free-flowing Onsen—an absolute must for an Onsen enthusiast like me (laugh). The building does feel old because of its long history, but that’s part of its charm, and I hope it will continue for many years to come. The meals were a bit too much for me as an older guest; I would have preferred smaller portions with higher quality. The staff were wonderful. Thank you very much.

Staying at Kisshotei with my family this time was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing, the room was clean and cozy, and the staff were all very kind. The meals and hot spring experience were excellent. My family had a wonderful stay, and it left us with great memories from this trip. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi and mobile signal were somewhat unstable, which made it a little inconvenient to use. If this can be improved in the future, the stay would be even more perfect. Overall, I highly recommend it. If I visit Yamanaka Onsen again, I would love to stay at Kisshotei again!

From arrival to departure, the staff provided attentive and thoughtful service throughout. My plans before check-in took longer than expected and I arrived late for my spa appointment, but they kindly adjusted the schedule for me. The spa was wonderfully relaxing, and I was able to unwind. Dinner in the room was a delight for both the eyes and the palate, making full use of seasonal flavors and local ingredients. The bath I had been looking forward to met my expectations, and the open-air bath in the room felt refreshing; I also enjoyed it at a leisurely pace in the morning. They were truly supportive with everything, including arranging a taxi and advising on our next sightseeing plans. I would love to visit again when I have the chance.

As a couple in our 40s, we visited to unwind and enjoy some quiet time away from everyday fatigue. We chose a Room with a balcony so we could relax and watch the sky… but across from us, the torn shoji screens of what seemed to be a Hotel that is no longer operating were visible… at night it felt a bit like a test of courage, so we couldn’t go out… lol. Other than that, the food and baths were wonderful, and there was absolutely no sense of crowds—choosing this small Accommodation was exactly the right decision. After dinner, we went to the riverside about a 5-minute walk away, and it happened to be firefly season. We were both thrilled to see real fireflies for the first time…! The whole village was quiet, and compared with Tokyo it was cool in the mornings and evenings. In the morning we enjoyed a gentle-on-the-body, delicious breakfast. We truly felt refreshed from the bottom of our hearts. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

The moment we arrived and were shown to the lobby, we were greeted by nostalgic scenery and items. To be honest, the interior and furnishings pleasantly defied what you might expect from an “auberge.” It didn’t feel unpleasant at all—rather, it was a comforting space filled with a sense of nostalgia. Everything in the building was impeccably clean; even the wooden floors in the corridors were gleaming. Throughout the property, there were many handmade mini “info” posters with a wide variety of topics, and we really enjoyed reading them. Because the hot spring source temperature is low, it seems to be heated and circulated, but the water has a silky texture that left our skin smooth. The bath in our room was not hot spring water, but the view from the bathroom window was wonderful. Dinner is a full-course French meal, and breakfast is Japanese-style. Both were extremely satisfying in taste and portion size—we enjoyed them very much. There is also a good selection of drinks, and we appreciated how reasonably priced they were. The staff provided excellent service in every respect, with outstanding hospitality. For us coming from Nara, Abashiri in eastern Hokkaido is certainly not close—but this is an inn we absolutely want to visit again.

This stay was even better than before—the complimentary drink corner was more well-stocked, the available hours had increased, and an all-you-can-drink draft beer option had been added, which was great. Also, there is now a take-away coffee station after breakfast, which was a nice touch. However, the cup was quite hot to carry, so I would appreciate it if something could be provided to prevent the outside from getting too hot.\nI will stay again.\nThe woman who checked me in was also very pleasant and thanked me for staying with you several times.

To get straight to the point, this became an absolute favorite! I used to think staying overnight in Arima Onsen was expensive (especially with meals), so my usual style was to stay at a Hotel in Kobe, then stop by Arima Onsen the next day—soak at Kin no Yu or Gin no Yu and enjoy street food. This time I found this Hotel, and since it’s a No Meals Included Plan but still comes with tickets for the public baths, I was excited that I could finally fully enjoy Arima Onsen!! I arrived in the early afternoon and they kindly let me park my car at the Hotel. From the very beginning, all of the staff were incredibly kind and welcomed me so warmly! The location is easy to find since it’s just up from the shopping street, and Taiko no Yu is also right nearby. I walked from the Hotel and enjoyed street food starting from below all the way up to shops higher up, but it never felt far coming back. Also, while it may be an older property, everything is kept very clean, so it didn’t bother me at all—I was completely comfortable. I went to Kin no Yu, Gin no Yu, and Taiko-no-Yu Donokan as well, but personally I liked this Hotel’s bath the best! It wasn’t crowded and I could relax in a spacious setting. The foot acupressure bath felt amazing—I enjoyed it morning and night like a kid again! You do one loop through both cold water and hot water areas, and the stones underfoot give just the right amount of stimulation. Since I happened to be alone at that time, I went around several times! The hot water itself was also fantastic! The post-bath drink bar was another nice touch. And even the sweets with tea in my Room were something I already loved from Arima Onsen—so for the first time in a while I bought some at the shop to take home! Staying at this Hotel let me enjoy Arima Onsen to its fullest—it was refreshing and wonderful. Thank you as well for your pleasant service—I'll definitely come again!

This was my second stay, and it was just as moving as the first. From every part of the property—the lobby, restaurant, on-site café, and of course the guest rooms, in-room semi-open-air baths, and the large public bath—you can enjoy wonderful views of East Izu’s greenery and the ocean. The lounge also offers excellent complimentary services such as free drinks, and you can even enjoy table tennis, which I personally love. Soaking your feet in the spacious courtyard footbath while listening to lovely background music is another truly relaxing moment. It may not be highlighted much on the website, but for limited hours the on-site café also serves a variety of alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and snacks. I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for their warm and attentive service.

I requested caregiving equipment, and it was installed perfectly, which was a great help. The staff were polite, provided clear explanations, and were very attentive. The Hotel is luxurious, and the guest rooms are beautiful and spotless. There is a wide variety of meals; they look gorgeous and taste great. In any case, it was a wonderful Hotel. I would like to visit again.

We enjoyed the Onsen and the cuisine again this year. Especially during meals, the staff chatted with us and showed such thoughtful care, making it a wonderful travel memory. We hope to visit again next year.

My first long-awaited trip to Hagi, and this Hotel stands in a quiet town. Nothing flashy—simply the best in the most classic way. Every dish was delicious, and all the staff were kind and charming; my spouse and I were truly impressed. The bath was excellent as well. Above all, everything was spotless and impeccably clean down to the smallest details. We also appreciated the warm send-off at departure.

I was truly moved by your warm hospitality. This is an inn I would love to visit again. Because it’s a bit far from central Tokyo, I had admired it for a long time but hesitated—however, having the chance to stay for two nights this time, I’m so glad I finally decided to come. Not only were the location surrounded by deep mountain nature and the atmosphere of the property wonderful, but the view from the famous standing bath was absolutely breathtaking. The cuisine and facilities exceeded my expectations, but what stayed with me most was the thoughtful care shown by all of your staff. When my mother became carsick on the way, you promptly guided her to our room and even handled check-in there; and when we brought a portrait of my late father to dinner, you kindly prepared a glass and even an appetizer for him as well—I was deeply touched. Thank you for such exceptional hospitality that truly warmed my heart. I will definitely return in another season.
