The rooms and amenities are of the highest quality, allowing you to enjoy a completely comfortable and indulgent stay. The service is exceptional, with the manager providing attentive guidance and promptly addressing any requests with great care. The bath and sauna are truly special. With features like a standing cold plunge pool and a meticulously designed relaxation room, you can experience ultimate relaxation—just be careful not to fall asleep! The facilities exude elegance, immersing you in an extraordinary atmosphere that feels otherworldly. Meals feature local ingredients from Wakayama, carefully selected daily from the market by the head chef who prepares them artistically and serves them on stylish tableware. The evening course was absolutely delicious and left us completely satisfied, while breakfast was equally delightful as we enjoyed it overlooking the seaside—a truly luxurious experience. It was a thoroughly satisfying trip—thank you very much!

Rather than spending the trip staying inside a Hotel or Ryokan, I was able to fulfill every wish: enjoying delicious food in the great outdoors, taking in the mountains and starry skies, soaking in the Onsen, and truly refreshing both body and mind. The entire Facility was impeccably clean and comfortable, and above all, I was delighted by the staff’s warm hospitality. Many of them are young, but it was clear through every interaction how well trained and knowledgeable they are. Their thoughtful attention to detail made the stay enjoyable from start to finish—I’m so glad we came. With the wine pairing at dinner, we were able to enjoy a variety of wines, and the kinki (rockfish) acqua pazza was especially outstanding. The Shuttle Service from Nagano Station also made getting there worry-free, resulting in two very satisfying days. Thank you very much. I feel the Accommodation rate is well worth it. Next time, I’d love to visit with my son as well.

Surrounded by SHIRO products and nature, I was able to relax and unwind. I definitely want to visit again. The unpaved road on the way there made me a little uneasy, but once I arrived, it turned out to be part of the charm—an amazing space.

Four close friends and I stayed here. No clock, no smartphone—just time that naturally resets your senses as the standard. The historic building has been thoughtfully renewed with a modern touch, and the interior is filled with beautiful design details throughout. Traditional elements unique to a Japanese house, such as sliding doors and transoms, have been carefully preserved, creating an effortless harmony between tradition and modern comfort. What stayed with me most was the Japanese garden and the veranda overlooking it. Sitting on the veranda and gazing at the garden, I lost track of time and felt as if I had become part of the scenery. The bath is set in a renovated storehouse, with high ceilings that create an elegant, open atmosphere. Soaking in the tub while enjoying views of the Japanese garden as borrowed scenery was truly exceptional. Completely removed from everyday life, I was able to forget everything and relax from the heart. Meals are served at a luxurious counter. The Japanese cuisine features plenty of local ingredients, each dish prepared with great care; both quality and portion size were deeply satisfying. This Accommodation is especially recommended for anyone seeking ultimate relaxation, wanting to treat themselves to something special, or looking for an extraordinary escape from daily life.

We stayed to celebrate our dog’s anniversary trip. The Room was spacious and the garden was lovely, so we had a great time. We ordered an anniversary cake for our dog, but the staff said they failed to thaw it properly and it was mushy, so our dog didn’t eat it… However, they handled the situation appropriately. The disappointing points were that we were looking forward to the 6,600 yen anniversary cake, but it was small and the decoration wasn’t what we expected, so we don’t really recommend the dog cake. Also, there were a lot of weeds in the dog run and we couldn’t use it. Other than that, we were satisfied and had an enjoyable stay. Thank you very much.

The travel schedule was postponed, leading to a need to rebook the hotel. By chance, we chose this place and it turned into a wonderful experience. The service was attentive, and every staff member greeted us with a smile throughout our stay. We also booked dinner here—what a surprise! The restaurant's reviews were so good that it felt like hitting the jackpot. Before dining, we were taken to the kitchen for an introduction to the day's ingredients. During meals, each group has their own private space without worrying about being disturbed by others (this applies to both breakfast and dinner). Unfortunately, due to language barriers (poor English and no Japanese), we missed out on opportunities for an even better experience. As expected with older buildings, soundproofing could be improved; activities upstairs caused some noise from above. The bathroom had only partial bamboo screens around the bath area—it felt slightly exposed as gaps allowed views of neighboring spaces... Overall though, it was an amazing experience! Next time, I’d love to try staying in a second-floor room if possible!

The Hotel’s service was attentive down to the smallest details and truly wonderful. In the lounge, they asked about my child’s juice preference and kindly made a special peach juice for us, which really impressed me. The building is stylish, and there were also Yayoi Kusama prints that I was glad to see up close. I’d love to stay again.

Choosing this place among so many options was something I truly don’t regret. We had a wonderful experience! From the very first welcome drink and warm hospitality, to the meals, the private detached room, and our own bath (Onsen), and even the lounge—everything felt special and far from everyday life, and we were able to relax completely. It was amazing! Three women (a bit older) on a cousins’ trip—we were very satisfied. The value for money was outstanding!!!

We stayed here with a large group in January. First of all, the traditional kura-style building is truly one of a kind. It has been beautifully renovated to suit modern needs while preserving the charm of classic Japanese architecture. It’s even more impressive in person than in photos, and you can really enjoy the building itself—perfect for anyone who loves architecture. The living room feels incredibly open, and even with a big group it never felt cramped. The kitchen was surprisingly spacious, and it was stocked with more than enough cookware and appliances. There was also a great variety of tableware, all stylish, which made cooking even more enjoyable. The dishwasher in particular was large and high-performance, making cleanup easy even for a big group. There are multiple bedrooms as well, so everyone can rest comfortably. This Accommodation is ideal for the purpose of “staying together as a large group and relaxing.” Overall it’s very spacious, so we could spend time there without feeling self-conscious. We only ordered breakfast, but it was simple Japanese food and very delicious. For lunch and dinner we arranged our own meals—buying ingredients at nearby supermarkets (Tsuruya and AEON are conveniently close) and cooking ourselves—and that became part of the fun of the stay. With such well-equipped facilities, this place is especially recommended for those who enjoy cooking. Even though it was cold around New Year’s, the inside was warm and comfortable. The separate hinoki bathhouse was amazing; you heat the indoor bath yourself, but the scent of hinoki wood and the atmosphere were truly relaxing. There is also another bath in the main house (with a modern tub), which you can use as well—and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of underfloor heating in the changing area there. We were highly satisfied with everything—the space, facilities, and overall atmosphere—and would love to visit again in a different season.

From the moment we arrived, this was a special entire-home rental Hotel that felt less like “staying overnight” and more like truly inhabiting the space. The view of Oku-Kawaguchiko through the large windows changed throughout the day: in the evening, a quiet lake surface with shadows of trees; at night, forest air with almost no sound; and in the morning, soft light streaming onto a misty lake. It was the kind of place where you just want to keep watching the scenery. The interior felt luxurious yet calming, with thoughtful details in everything from lighting and furniture to sound. It naturally made us want to slow down—cooking with a beer in hand, enjoying fresh air on the terrace after the sauna—and even while spending time together, there was an unhurried sense of space. What stood out most was the morning kayaking experience. Paddling out onto a quiet Lake Kawaguchi before many people were around felt incredible. The water was as calm as a mirror, reflecting the surrounding mountains and forest. It felt less like sightseeing and more like we were floating alone in nature—easily my most memorable moment of this stay. The Facility side was also very comfortable: with well-stocked kitchenware and amenities, we could enjoy high-quality time without much preparation. This isn’t just an Accommodation for sleeping—it’s a place where the experience itself changes depending on the season and how you spend your time. Next time I’d love to do a Multiple Night Stay and soak up this atmosphere even more slowly.

We stayed during Golden Week. Even though all the other Rooms were fully booked, we could hardly hear any noise from nearby, and we were able to spend a peaceful time surrounded by the quiet forest. Perhaps it was a season with very few insects, as they didn’t bother us at all, and the Facility was clean and very comfortable. Even the shampoo in the bath had a forest-like scent, and we felt that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. Thank you very much. After reading through all of the Room booklet again, I realized that shared Facilities such as the washing machine were located elsewhere, and I wasn’t sure how to clean up properly after using the campfire. It would be reassuring if you could add a short note on the red paper that was originally inside the fire pit grill saying that cleanup instructions are written in the booklet. Also, since it seemed to assume everything should be returned to its original state, I wasn’t sure how far we needed to go in putting things back—such as dishcloths or used towels. It would feel even more reassuring if there were a note like: “Please place used cloths and towels in the laundry basket.” We would love to stay again. We made wonderful memories with our family.

The dashi, seasonings, ingredients, tableware, and hospitality came together in perfect harmony to create dishes that truly warmed the body and soul. We were able to fully enjoy the Karatsu-yaki ceramics. The seasonal flowers displayed throughout the Accommodation were graceful, and the garden pines stood proudly—immaculately maintained. This is a culinary Accommodation where you’ll want to savor every last drop.

I stayed on a breakfast-only Plan. Since it was a solo trip I decided on suddenly two days before, I was disappointed that I couldn’t choose a Plan with dinner. Although I couldn’t have dinner, the breakfast was very delicious and I was completely satisfied. Above all, the owner of the Accommodation was very considerate in many ways, and I had a truly pleasant stay. Next time, I would definitely like to stay for the dinner as well. It was truly a wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

This was my first time visiting Yoshino. The cherry blossoms had not yet started to bloom, but we were shown to a Room with a wonderful view of the Ryokan’s courtyard. I can imagine how spectacular it must be when the blossoms are in full bloom. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were very delicious. The Onsen was just right, and I could enjoy it as many times as I liked without feeling unwell from the hot water.

The exterior looked like an ordinary Ryokan, but inside, the Rooms, baths, and dining area were all very clean. The meals were delicious Nikko-style dishes, carefully presented in thoughtfully chosen tableware and handmade. It was also very close to Nikko Edo Wonderland—about a 2–3 minute drive—so it’s a recommended Ryokan for those who are not particular about Onsen. To the proprietress: the washlet in Room 205 is broken. I think it would be best to have it repaired as soon as possible.

I was truly impressed by your attentive hospitality in every detail. In particular, the meals were all creative and full of seasonal flavors, and I enjoyed every dish. I did find the bath water a bit hot, but otherwise I was completely satisfied. Thank you very much.

The meals lived up to their reputation—lavish and absolutely delicious. It was honestly hard to finish everything, but they kindly made rice balls from what was left, and I could enjoy dessert later, which was great. The view from the detached room was amazing, and I could relax in the Onsen while looking out at the sea. The beach is also nearby, so it was a luxury to swim after check-in and then come right back for an Onsen soak. I didn’t run into anyone else at all and was able to truly unwind. I’d love to visit again.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. We felt even more relaxed than at a relative’s home in the countryside and enjoyed spring in the satoyama. We thoroughly enjoyed a hearty breakfast, and the Goemon-style bath as well. We’ll be back again. Thank you very much.

Given the relatively low price, I didn’t expect much based on the photos, but it pleasantly exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, the staff were warmly attentive, and the Room was great—overall, it felt like excellent value for money. Next time, I’d like to visit with a bit more time to spare.

We stayed during the Obon holiday. We were looking forward to the meals, and they exceeded our expectations. There was truly more food than we could finish. We had seen reviews saying there would be a lot, so we ate a light lunch before coming, but still… My spouse, who didn’t like sea bream that much, said this stay changed their mind and they ended up loving it. If you want to enjoy delicious fish, Hyosuke is highly recommended.
