I found this Accommodation by searching on YouTube and stayed for one night during Golden Week in May. The price was reasonable for a one-night stay with two meals included. Although it had a new name after a change in management from the previous Hotel, it felt like an old-fashioned city Hotel with a Showa-era vibe. It’s within walking distance of Hitachi Station, and there is plenty of parking, making it ideal as an Accommodation mainly for road trips. I didn’t expect much from the meals given the price, but they were delicious and a drink was included, so it felt like a great deal. On the second day, we were also able to visit nearby Kamine Park and the zoo, which made for a fun trip. I’d like to use it again when traveling around the Hitachi area. The Room was on an upper floor just as I had hoped.

With few days off in my usual routine, I booked this Accommodation at short notice because I wanted to relax in an Onsen for the first time in a while, and it turned out to be excellent value for money. The whole place has a strong Showa-era vibe, which felt pleasantly nostalgic to someone born in that era. They prepared a private dining room for us, and our family enjoyed a delicious meal together—both the quality and quantity were more than enough. We were also very satisfied with all the baths: the open-air bath attached to our Room, the large public bath, the outdoor Onsen bath, and even the private bath with karaoke. We could truly unwind. If I visit the Nagano area again, I’d like to stay here again.

The building is a bit old, and there’s the issue of no air conditioning typical in Hokkaido, as well as insects that come with being in the mountains. However, considering the price, it’s up to each guest to decide if it suits them. For us as a couple, we were satisfied. Some dishes could have been served hotter for an even better experience, but everything was delicious and filling. During the day it was unbelievably hot, but at night it cooled down enough that we didn’t need to use the complimentary "cool neck towel" and slept comfortably without air conditioning. We turned off the lights, closed the curtains, and opened windows while taking precautions against insects. The sound of the river was quite loud but felt natural and didn’t disturb our sleep once we got used to it. Although unrelated to this Hotel itself, we found that Shirogane Onsen had better water quality compared to Sounkyo Onsen for our visit on the following day.

Specializing in No Meals Included, it might be a great option for an affordable stay at Misasa Onsen.

We had a spacious and comfortable stay as a couple. The baths were on a rotation system, allowing us to enjoy both types. The hot and lukewarm water options were thoughtful. It was disappointing that the evening bonfire we saw on the elevator poster was only available on Fridays and Saturdays. Unlike large hotels where you often face long buffet lines or wait for shower spaces in the bath area, this mid-sized Hotel felt just right. Being close to Shirahige Falls made for a lovely evening stroll. The shuttle service to Blue Pond seemed seasonal, but it would be great if there was an option for one-way transportation at least. The best time to visit Blue Pond is reportedly around midday when parking lots are extremely crowded; having one-way transport would save guests from walking back for over an hour after their visit.

It seems to be a former regular apartment building now operated in a Hotel-style setup mainly for weekly and monthly stays. Perhaps due to the previous guest or something during cleaning, the entire Room was filled with a perfume-like scent that did not go away even with thorough ventilation. There were also many spots where dust had accumulated, but since this is not a typical Hotel, it may be unavoidable. The Room amenities are sufficient. It was also helpful that a full set of kitchenware, including pots, is provided. There is a washing machine, but only two hangers. The staff were polite, but since there is only one reception counter, it may get crowded around 3:00 PM and take some time.

The Hotel Room was a W room! Having the toilet and bath separate was the deciding factor. Parking is first-come, first-served, and we couldn’t get a spot. The nearby parking lot we were referred to was expensive. Other than that, everything was good.

Although it’s close to the station, the Room was quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. When I arrived exhausted, the front desk staff kindly handled the check-in process for me, which was a big help. I was impressed that you can stay in Tokyo at this price. I’ll be back.

I wasn’t even sure what “KKR” was at first, but I never imagined that it could be this affordable, this delicious, and this comfortable based on the price when I made the Reservation. The two front desk staff members at check-in were extremely polite, and the dining staff were truly kind and attentive both at night and in the morning. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who only value new, luxury Accommodation, but for an ordinary person like me, finding an Accommodation this satisfying for just 13,000 yen these days might be rare. I’d love to stay again someday. My heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff. Thank you very much.

Premium Room Twin Bed with Bathtub 6-minute walk from various Shibuya stations, including JR Shibuya Station (Hachiko Exit). Located across from Mega Don Quijote, the upper floors of the multi-purpose commercial facility "Dogenzaka-dori" house the Hotel. Follow the pathway inside and you'll find a sign for the Hotel. The room is compact but cleverly designed, offering enough space to open suitcases comfortably. There’s a niche by the entrance that perfectly fits two suitcases, making your stay efficient and spacious. From reception to elevators and room interiors, artistic decor creates a stylish atmosphere. The reception staff were kind and accommodating with luggage storage requests. The room features twin beds, a table set for two, a large-screen TV, an air purifier, soft waffle-textured pajamas and bathrobes, as well as ample amenities like cleansing products and lotion. The bathroom includes a spacious bathtub combined with a shower area—conveniently designed like your own home bathroom—perfect for relaxation. Additional thoughtful services include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speakers, steamers, etc., ensuring comfort during your stay. Both toilet and sink areas are roomy—it’s hard to believe it’s only 25 square meters! Truly comfortable. With cafes, restaurants, and bars available within the Facility itself—you might wish you had more time to enjoy everything! Breakfast can be enjoyed at the restaurant buffet or through in-room dining for leisurely mornings; an American breakfast was around 2,500 yen. Even coffee cups are beautifully designed—with Hachiko illustrations on saucers adding charm. Fresh bread rolls along with salads and fruits were delicious! Conveniently located along Bunkamura Street near cafes/restaurants/convenience stores; elevator access requires key cards while peephole covers on doors ensure safety. Compact yet incredibly comfortable—a convenient Hotel perfect for any traveler!

I was very satisfied, but I would be even more pleased if usage until 6:00 PM were possible.

I’ve stayed here many times, but this time the bath water temperature in the Room was not stable.

I stay here every year. The Room is thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. There is no odor in the Room, making it very comfortable. The futon and pillows are fluffy, providing excellent sleep quality for a restful night. Quick wipes and dishwashing detergent are provided, along with appliances such as a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, TV, washing machine, dryer, and hairdryer—everything you might need. The shampoo and other amenities have a wonderful scent that was truly relaxing. I would love to stay here again next year. Thank you very much!

If I had to mention a downside, the exterior and interior felt a bit worn, which made the atmosphere seem a little intimidating. However, the bath was clean and the Onsen water flows continuously, so it was amazing! The meals were delicious with no complaints, and since it was a buffet we really enjoyed it! One more thing… it was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t connect external devices to the TV. It can’t be helped given the Facility setup, but the game console we brought ended up being useless. We also wanted to mirror our smartphone screen on the TV, but that wasn’t possible either. We played cards and table tennis with my siblings instead, but it was still a little disappointing.
