I stayed at Tsuetate Onsen for the first time. Despite being in a region where space along the river is limited, the parking lot was conveniently located nearby. The staff's hospitality was excellent, making my stay very comfortable, and the meals were absolutely delicious. The accommodation's bath was spacious and impressive, but the highlight was "Kissho no Yu," an outdoor onsen with five open-air baths nestled in the forest—truly a relaxing experience. I would love to stay at this accommodation again!

We stayed with our dog. It’s close to the station, the Room is spacious, and the amenities are plentiful—so comfortable it felt like a waste to stay only one night! I didn’t expect any pet amenities, but having pet pads and wet wipes provided was a big help. The drugstore in front of the station didn’t sell pet supplies, so guests traveling with dogs should be aware. As we knew in advance, there are stairs, so if you have a lot of luggage, staying on the second floor is better. We struggled at first because we couldn’t figure out how to unlock the door, but thank you for your kind support by phone and LINE. We will definitely stay again when we visit Hakata! Thank you!

Based on the information provided in advance, I honestly didn’t have high expectations for the Hotel itself or the Room. But once I stayed, I found that anyone who loves a Showa-era atmosphere will really appreciate it. The Room is spacious enough, and while you can’t expect the latest Facilities or modern comfort, it feels calm and relaxing. The bath and toilet are in the same space, but it’s very large and even has a separate washing area. If you run the hot water too forcefully it can splash toward the toilet, but as long as you’re careful there’s no problem. I was surprised to see exposed hot- and cold-water pipes for the first time; on the other hand, I felt they may be keeping prices reasonable by not spending too much on hardware upgrades. What truly stands out is breakfast. You enter the dining room from a typical narrow-front local Ryokan-style entrance near reception—and then you’re amazed: shelves along the walls are packed with what seems to be the owner’s collection. It felt like stepping into another world. The way everything is arranged shows real attention to detail, and somehow reflects their personality as well. Breakfast was served in 30-minute time slots, but it seemed freshly prepared after guests arrived, so warm dishes were brought out. The bread, omelet, bacon, and sausages were cooked perfectly. The ingredients aren’t luxurious by any means, but I was genuinely impressed by how heartfelt the cooking was. I also had a bit of friendly conversation with them and got to experience their warm and sincere character firsthand. To be honest, I can’t give high marks for hardware aspects—but for breakfast alone, along with their hospitality and this Showa-style space that you can actually experience here, this Hotel is absolutely worth staying at. If I have another chance, I’d love to return.

It’s about a 20-minute drive to Takachiho Gorge, but we chose Kijiya because it’s an onsen Accommodation. We had reserved the first boat ride at Takachiho Gorge the next morning, so we stayed with dinner only. Dinner was delicious, with salt-grilled yamame trout, sashimi, tempura, and more. As expected, the onsen was wonderful. We checked out early in the morning, but it’s a great Accommodation where you can truly relax.

Everything was great in a word. The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and the owner was very kind and welcoming. This will be my go-to Accommodation in Ishigaki Island.

We were able to relax in both the bath and the Room. The sound of the river was soothing, and it was an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again. By the time we left, our skin felt smooth. Thank you very much.

It felt like a unit in an older apartment building, but the Room was spacious and comfortable, making it an easy place to stay. The amenities were well stocked, and the location is great—there’s a station and Amu Plaza nearby, so you can enjoy shopping and dining as well. There is also on-site parking at the Hotel, which was very helpful. The level of service was just right and pleasant, making this Hotel perfect for relaxing and enjoying some quiet personal time—I’d love to stay here again.

The breakfast was generous and very delicious.

A condominium with a kitchen, a 10-minute walk from the station and 3 minutes to the beach. It was very convenient since we didn’t have a car. Self check-in is unmanned, but when there was an issue with the screen, staff responded immediately by phone, which made us feel at ease. It was wonderful to cook and dine while enjoying the ocean view from the window. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and other essentials. The Room is spacious and clean, with a living area and dining area, so you can relax comfortably.

It was affordable while still ensuring privacy, and the 11:00 check-out allowed me to rest well. If I had to ask for one thing, I would have liked a fan in the Room until I cooled down after bathing, but the air conditioning works well.

The staff are kind. The floors are spotless and shiny. The Room has large windows, and the greenery by the pond is soothing.

Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Rather than the typical Business Hotel fare, it felt like slightly upscale home-style cooking, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were all courteous and helpful. Although the building and Facility are older, everything was very clean. The only drawback was that the soundproofing of the guest room entrance door was a bit weak. Overall, I was satisfied and would like to stay again.

Our family stayed here for two nights in August. It was our first time at an Accommodation with self check-in, so we were a bit nervous, but we received thorough support via SMS a few days before and again the day prior, which made us feel at ease. On the day, we entered by keying the passcode into the lock on the front door, and check-in was easy using the tablet inside! Perhaps because it’s still a new Facility, everything was very clean—and it felt more spacious than we expected, which surprised us. The kids immediately explored and found the loft; they played up there nonstop. The adults took a breather and then started preparing for a BBQ. We picked up some great-looking meat from the butcher right in front (we later learned it’s a well-known shop). With perfect weather, we enjoyed a family BBQ while watching the sunset. It became our best memory of this summer! The amenities were also excellent—high-end products like those used in salons—so my wife was especially happy. This may become everyone’s favorite Accommodation! We also requested breakfast bread vouchers; it seems to be a popular local bakery as well, and it was busy from early morning. We were very satisfied eating delicious bread on the deck while enjoying the view as a family. Next year, we’d love to come back for a Multiple Night Stay with an extra day or so. Spacious room, thorough cleaning, delicious meals, and the staff maintained a good sense of distance, which I appreciated. I thought it would be nice if the room had a brighter (even with bright lighting) area. However, it was very difficult to get into the bathtub. I am 160 cm tall, which I think is average, but even so, I was afraid my feet might get caught. I only got used to it during my Multiple Night Stay. It might be impossible, but could you somehow make it easier to get in? That was the only disappointment.

I had been wanting to stay at this highly rated Hotel for some time. In addition to the design, the restaurant and room service were excellent, and the Hotel’s facilities were well maintained, so I was very satisfied. Being able to enjoy records was also a great added value. Thank you very much.

Upon arriving at the Hotel lobby, I was greeted warmly and assisted in Japanese right away, which made me feel at ease. Most of the other guests were from overseas, and I didn’t hear anyone speaking Japanese during my stay. The Room was still quite new, so it felt clean and spacious. I also appreciated the height of the sink. It would be even better if the price were a bit lower.

We were upgraded to a better Room, allowing us to relax unexpectedly and rejuvenate both physically and mentally. The welcome message card and Japanese sweets placed on the table in the Room, as well as the thoughtful design around the washbasin (such as towel placement), showed great attention to detail. These small touches made our stay very pleasant. As for the Facility, we especially enjoyed the waterfall bath in the onsen. It was wonderful, and we could fully enjoy our bathing time after a long while. The bath salts also had a lovely fragrance. At the front desk, although different staff members assisted us each time, everyone was kind and attentive, which gave us peace of mind. This is what matters most. The location is convenient as well. If given another opportunity, we would love to stay here again. Thank you very much for this experience!

It felt like being invited to someone's apartment. The regular beds were, of course, comfortable, and even the compact bunk beds provided a cozy sleep—perfect for kids. While it took some time to fill the bathtub, everything else was smooth. The price isn’t particularly cheap, so whether it’s cost-effective depends on your purpose. The kitchen is user-friendly and ideal if you want to enjoy cooking your own meals during your stay.

The room had a nice atmosphere in a quiet location. It was raining on the day, so it was convenient that the room was located just above the parking area. The washing machine comes with detergent, and there is also a gas dryer. Dishes, dishwashing detergent, and amenities are provided. Please note that pajamas are not included, so you will need to bring your own.
