The meals are such high quality you’d never guess they’re buffet-style. The menu changes with the seasons, so it never gets boring, and everything is consistently delicious every time we visit! The Rooms may seem similar at first, but the layouts and interiors vary, which makes it fun and interesting. The Surprise Plan is the best—guaranteed to become an unforgettable memory! It’s wonderful to receive, and just as fun to plan for someone else. A space where everyone is sure to feel happy! Both the Room and the open-air bath were wonderful, and the ocean view from the Room was beautiful. We were able to enjoy delicious crab even in summer. When we mentioned that we were celebrating a special occasion, you kindly showed thoughtful consideration, which made our family very happy. From showing us around the Room to serving us at dinner, your service was truly pleasant, and everyone’s smiles were lovely. From check-in to check-out, you took great care of us, and we were just as impressed by your hospitality as we were by the Room and the cuisine. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Because my husband is from Nagaoka, we come from Tokyo to Niigata every year during the Obon season. Our usual routine is to go swimming at Kakudahama Beach first, then stay at Hotel Asuka. The made-to-order dinner buffet is delicious, and the food comes out quickly. The dishes you can pick up anytime are also great, so I always end up eating too much. Both the long-time staff and the newer team members are truly pleasant and welcoming—it makes me feel at home. This is my favorite hotel that I look forward to visiting every year. We’ll be back again next year, so thank you in advance.

We stayed with my son’s family—six of us in two Rooms. There was a free shaved-ice service in the arrival lobby, which delighted the kids. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The only drawback was that we couldn’t adjust the air-conditioning temperature very well, but everything else was fine. The large Onsen public bath was also spacious, and we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen. It may have been a circulated bath, as there was a slight chlorine smell, but there was also a sauna and we had a pleasant stay. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style for the first time in a while. Dinner offered all-you-can-eat sushi, sashimi, sukiyaki, steak, and more; breakfast was also very tasty, including local ingredients. I think this is a great Ryokan where three generations can enjoy themselves and everyone can be satisfied.

This was my third visit. On my previous two stays, I enjoyed sweeping views from the room of Matsushima’s vivid blue sea under a crystal-clear sky. This time, however, it rained throughout my 2-night, 3-day stay, and the sea was veiled in white mist; seeing the forecast the day before left me feeling down. Still, while the view outside the window didn’t meet my hopes, I was able to truly savor my time inside the Hotel instead. Sinking into the slightly hot, silky Onsen, I could feel everyday fatigue quietly melt away to the gentle sound of rain. Above all, the staff’s thoughtful and warm hospitality turned a rainy stay into something genuinely comforting. Please accept my heartfelt thanks. Meals are served buffet-style with live cooking finished right in front of you by the chef. Amidst the sizzling sounds and enticing aromas, it was a special luxury to enjoy each dish at its freshest and most delicious. Thanks to the all-inclusive plan, I could pair wine, beer, shochu, highballs, and sake with each course without worrying about extra charges—an absolutely blissful experience. Regardless of the weather, this Hotel’s high-quality Onsen and dining—along with its staff’s sincere dedication to guests—ensure a deeply satisfying stay. I can wholeheartedly recommend it. I’m already looking forward to returning and seeing what kind of Matsushima awaits next time.

This time we stayed in a special Room with a private open-air bath. The water temperature was comfortable 24 hours a day, the tub was spacious enough for two people to relax, and the cypress wood rim added a warm touch—I think I soaked in it about ten times. We also had three bath towels each, plus a wide towel rack to hang them, which made everything stress-free. One suggestion: I used the open-air bath around 7 a.m., but the direct sunlight was very strong. It would be nice to have something like bamboo blinds to block the sun. We also used the large public bath, and as with other Kyoritsu Resort properties such as Dormy Inn, it had plenty of washing space and was easy to use. And when it comes to Kyoritsu Resort, there’s the late-night ramen service. Since this is Hakodate, they offer salt ramen in addition to soy sauce ramen. We expected breakfast—known for being popular—to involve waiting in line, but thanks to the special Room privileges they reserved our preferred seating (such as semi-private booths or window seats) at a designated time. That was great. Of course, the meal selection lived up to its reputation. All drinks in the Room were free—including whisky—and there was also a sparkling water maker. Overall it was excellent. The price is high, but given how well-equipped everything is, we felt it was worth it. We’d love to stay again if possible.

This was my first trip to Hakodate. There is only one direct flight a day from Nagoya, and I was incredibly lucky to get a ticket. Visiting a new place for the first time is so exciting. The Room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a panoramic view of Mt. Hakodate. The space was generous, and the bathtub and sink were spacious as well. The lighting switches were thoughtfully placed throughout, making everything very convenient—it was almost too comfortable! Dinner at Kita Jin (booked separately) was also excellent: premium Genghis Khan in a private room, relaxed and delicious. Breakfast was around 8:00, and we were seated right away. We came without much prior knowledge and were amazed by the variety—and even more by the quality of every dish. My spouse and I travel all over the whole country, and this may have been our best breakfast ever. Personally, I loved the eel snack with tea, dim sum, sashimi, chiffon cake, and egg tarts. What stayed with us most from this trip was meeting so many wonderful people in Hakodate: The kind driver with a great smile on the airport limousine bus. At lunchtime at Lucky Pierrot near the station—busy as it was—a female staff member still let us draw an Ichiban Kuji lottery ticket and gave us a pin badge with a big smile. At NIPPONIA Hotel Hakodate Port Town on our first day—a female staff member kindly explained everything and gave us a hand-drawn illustrated map of nearby spots within walking distance. On an evening sightseeing taxi tour to see Mt. Hakodate’s night view—a female driver born in Hakodate from Donan Taxi carefully explained local history, the Western-style houses in Motomachi, and the origins of Soma-tei. The staff who made our motorboat cruise even more enjoyable under clear skies the next day. At lunch near the station at Uni Specialty Shop Yoichiya—a female employee whose attentiveness and refined service truly impressed us. And above all, at Century Marina’s front desk—the female staff member who kindly explained everything for our first stay left a wonderful impression with her polite service; of course, the male staff member at checkout was also outstanding. The quick yet courteous service at Kita Jin was excellent as well—we are truly grateful to have stayed at this Hotel. It was an intense 2-night/3-day trip to Hakodate, but seeing everyone working so hard to make their city shine really moved us—it looked genuinely inspiring. We will definitely come again. I truly fell in love with historic Hakodate from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you for taking care of us for 3 days and 2 nights. I love traveling and stay at many Hotels, but I have never experienced a Hotel where the staff’s service and greetings were this outstanding. It’s rare to find such a strong spirit of hospitality in a Business Hotel. The large public bath was also wonderful, and cooling off while enjoying the view from the rooftop overlooking Monbetsu Port after a soak was such a happy moment! Breakfast offered everything from scallop sashimi to jingisukan, and everything was delicious—I ate too much on both days. The milk and yogurt from Okoppe were also incredibly tasty. I’ve only just checked out, but I’m already thinking about when to make my next Reservation. Thank you again—we’ll definitely stay here again!

This is a Hotel where you can easily go back and forth between the beach and the pool, making it very enjoyable. We stayed with small children, but even though the restaurant is spacious, it didn’t feel crowded, so we could dine at a relaxed pace. They also lend out fireworks sets, so we were able to enjoy fireworks on the beach at night. Amenities are available for you to take back to your Room as needed, but it wasn’t inconvenient. We stayed for two nights and three days; if you leave towels outside the door, they will be replaced with fresh ones. It was our first stay in a while, but the place had been renovated and made for a comfortable trip.

We searched for an all-inclusive, ocean-view Hotel with breakfast and dinner buffets and a pool, and stayed here as a family during our summer vacation. The wide variety of all-inclusive options, the breakfast and dinner buffets with live cooking stations, the pool, and the many types of Onsen were all wonderful. We also enjoyed the free soap-making activity with our child. Everyone at the Hotel was truly kind. They always greeted us with smiles and attentive service, never showing any sign of being busy or affected by the heat. We were deeply impressed by their hospitality and were able to relax at a very leisurely pace. Even during the Shuttle Service on our departure day, they saw us off at the bus despite how busy mornings are—we were touched until the very end. We would definitely like to stay again. It was an amazing summer memory for both children and adults—everything was taken care of.

As always, I soak in the spacious public bath, head back to my Room, hit the sauna like I always do, take a cold shower, and then slip into the Onsen in my Room. It’s the classic routine I’ve repeated many times whenever I stay at Sennentei. At dinner, I take a big gulp from a frosty mug—absolutely irresistible. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious, with all kinds of local specialties to enjoy. Tottori is truly a great place to spend a holiday, and Sennentei is especially relaxing even by Tottori standards. In May, stocking up on Ohara tomatoes on the way home—and in late August, buying plenty of Nijisseiki pears—is another one of my usual traditions.

This was our first time in Inatori, and I stayed here with my elderly mother for the first time as well. There were six of us in total, including my wife and children. The food was incredibly delicious and everyone was very satisfied. Since my child’s birthday was coming up, we requested a cake, and they brought it out as an after-dinner surprise—my child was thrilled. My mother especially loved the open-air bath at the large public bath and happily went back and forth between our Room and the baths many times. I felt it was a wonderful way to show her appreciation. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great, so I’d like to bring her again on a clear day so she can enjoy the spectacular view from that open-air bath.

Although it is a Business Hotel in style, the Onsen was excellent, and the breakfast in particular was more luxurious and delicious than expected. For dinner, we used a voucher provided at the front desk and went to a robatayaki restaurant. With restaurants nearby and enjoyable night views, it was a comfortable Hotel to stay in.

The Hotel is located right in front of Miyajima Port, making access excellent and extremely convenient. Even before check-in and after check-out, we could use the lounge and enjoy ice cream, coffee, and other drinks. Depending on the time of day, there was also a momiji manju service, plus vouchers to redeem momiji manju at shops on Miyajima (including fried momiji), and candy ice cream after the bath—everything was thoughtfully provided. The facilities were very clean, and the buffet featured carefully prepared dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. With an all-inclusive plan that included alcohol as well, we were very satisfied overall. The lemon herb tea in the restaurant was especially delicious; we highly appreciated that it used Hiroshima lemons and herbs, to the point that we wanted to buy it. We think it would be great if it were sold in the Hotel’s souvenir corner or similar shop.

We stayed here for a family trip. There were plenty of kid-friendly facilities such as the pool, illuminations, and a playroom, and we had a great time! Our children were thrilled and kept saying, “We want to come again,” so we were very satisfied as parents. The Onsen was wonderful, and we really appreciated having unlimited towels available at both the Onsen and the pool—it made everything comfortable and stress-free. The staff were also polite and kind. The only thing that bothered us was having to wait for the elevator at times. As for dining, there were occasional lines at dinner buffet stations where chefs cook in front of you, but it wasn’t a big issue. At breakfast, since it’s split into two time slots, there were lines during our time; however, I think that’s unavoidable during busy mornings. It was a lovely Hotel that made us want to return!

I was surprised to find someone waiting to welcome us at the entrance when we arrived by car. We were greeted by the scent of lilies, and while waiting our turn for check-in, my husband quickly started enjoying a beer. Our Room was on the 3rd floor and felt more spacious than expected. The tatami flooring made it very comfortable. The view from the window was wonderful, and we kept it open for a while just to enjoy it. The amenities were well stocked, and we didn’t feel any inconvenience. One thing I noticed was that there was quite a large step up into the in-room toilet, which made me a little worried about tripping if I got up during the night. What stood out most was the wide variety of dishes at dinner. The boat platter we reserved was extremely fresh, and the sushi prepared right in front of us was delicious as well. I love grilled seafood, and I went back for it twice. The steak was also excellent. We couldn’t possibly try everything—of course there wasn’t any room left for late-night ramen, so I’d like to have that next time (laugh). We made our Reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they surprised us by bringing dessert and taking photos for us—it became a truly happy memory. Breakfast was also buffet-style. In the morning, I made my own seafood rice bowl and enjoyed it very much. The freshly cooked French toast was delicious too. There were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all—it was a one-night stay filled with food that delighted both our eyes and taste buds. Lastly, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff who always greeted us with smiles—we had a very pleasant stay at your Accommodation. We will visit again.

Although I’m used to being told “That’s not possible,” every staff member handled anything I asked for or wanted to request with polite, attentive service and without the slightest sign of displeasure. Their phone support was also excellent. This Hotel truly made me feel that this is what real hotel professionals are like.

Our family of four stayed in a room with a private open-air bath, and it was amazing—even putting it mildly. The meals, baths, and views were all excellent. The food was generous and delicious, and at night we enjoyed a sky full of stars. The bath left our skin silky smooth—especially the morning bath, which I highly recommend. This was our first stay, but it’s an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much.

On September 2, after the Obon season had ended, I visited Kitayama Cemetery in Tomobe to pay my respects for the first time in six years. I used to stay at an Accommodation in Tokyo, but this time I wanted to see the torii gate by the coast. It’s located past Oarai Isosaki Shrine. To see the torii, I made a Reservation and stayed at a nearby Hotel in Oarai. The Hotel was clean, and the Room was great as well. The bath was also very nice (I would have preferred slightly hotter water). Dinner and breakfast were buffet-style with unlimited servings, which was great. The service was excellent too. I’d like to come again during monkfish hot pot season.

I decided that morning to have the breakfast buffet. I really enjoyed the Hiroshima local specialties—dumpling soup with shiratama, steamed egg custard with oysters, and dried nodoguro fish; everything was delicious. I usually choose No Meals Included no matter which Hotel I stay at, but this time it was absolutely the right choice. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
