The beach is right in front of the hotel and easy to access, and the food was unbelievably delicious—absolutely amazing! Many buffet restaurants start running low as closing time approaches, but here it felt like everything was replenished right up until the end. There was sushi, meat dishes, noodles, desserts, and curry—and every single one of them was incredibly good! The open-air bath also had a great view—everything about this stay was wonderful.

We planned a last-minute trip as a couple, and never expected to find such a wonderful Accommodation available during the Obon holidays at such an affordable price. Dinner was impressive, featuring dishes that brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients, served on Hagi-yaki–style ceramic tableware. The buffet breakfast was also full of delicious options. While the annex is not very large, it felt newly finished and was comfortable. Above all, the location alone—an expansive view of the majestic Sea of Japan right below the window—seems worth tens of thousands of yen. The staff were warm and welcoming as well, making it an unforgettable stay.

As soon as we entered, the ocean spread out before us—it was so beautiful and truly moving. The Room also had an ocean view, and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. The food was delicious, and the staff were very kind and attentive. Thank you very much.

At dinner, the proprietress came to speak with us, and when we mentioned our 30th wedding anniversary, she gave us a wonderful handwritten gift that truly moved us. We were so happy. We have it proudly displayed at home. The unexpected present became a very special memory.\nThe views from the Room and the dining area were exceptional as well.\nAt breakfast, we also had the chance to chat with a staff member from our hometown. We were touched by everyone’s kindness and thoughtfulness.\nIt was a truly wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much. We hope to visit again someday.

We were able to stay at a great price with a last-minute deal during heavy rain. The Room was disappointing in that there was no valuables box, and the toilet exhaust fan didn’t work. For valuables, we had to go all the way to the bath area on the 5th floor to use the valuables box there, then head to the far open-air bath on the 6th floor. The open-air bath was amazing. We went in during heavy rain wearing a woven hat, but there were only two, so other guests seemed inconvenienced. We enjoyed it enough and handed our umbrella over before leaving. It would be better if a few more were provided. Amenities in the Room were minimal, and anything else you need is placed on the 1st floor, so you go pick it up yourself. The pillow was very thin, so we borrowed one from three types of pillows available on the 1st floor. When I visited it was pouring rain and there weren’t many other guests, so pillows were still available—but I wonder if they restock them when it’s busy? As for meals, for this price they were acceptable. The steak was processed meat. It’s all-you-can-eat crab, but it’s better not to expect too much. There was also eel; warming it up on the hot plate after cooking steak made it tasty. For breakfast, the DIY rice bowl (toppings over rice) was delicious. Above all, drinks were all-you-can-drink from check-in until 11:00 p.m.—dinner started just 30 minutes after welcome drinks ended—and after that we went to the bar. Since you can take drinks back to your Room as well, we relaxed and drank plenty. The welcome oden and steamed meat buns were also delicious. We also enjoyed midnight udon as a late-night snack—overall we fully made use of everything. The staff members were foreigners as well, but everyone worked very hard and they were wonderful. We would definitely like to return again. Thank you very much.

Modern, clean Room overlooking the beach. Delicious meals you could enjoy day after day without getting tired of them. Cozy, home-like hospitality. Best of all, a beautiful beach where sea turtles and many kinds of fish swim—reserved exclusively for this Hotel’s guests.

I really loved the open-air bath on the rooftop. The view was beautiful and it helped me unwind after the trip. The dinner buffet was delicious, and I ended up enjoying quite a few drinks. The next day, I played at the neighboring Cherry Golf Amakusa Course. It was a wonderful trip.

We stayed in a Room with a private pool at SideB. Both the Room and the pool were spacious, and we were able to relax deeply. The pool, which seems to have been newly built this year, is large enough for serious swimming. All of the Hotel staff were kind, and chatting at the café and during breakfast became one of our highlights. It’s a wonderful Hotel, and we’d love to come back.

The Accommodation was in a great location. The large public bath with panoramic views had an amazing outlook, and I was able to relax. We only had breakfast, but it also had a great view, the food was delicious, and we were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

Because my son uses a wheelchair, the restaurant staff kindly assisted us, which was very helpful. We truly appreciate their thoughtful care. The meal was delicious, made with very fresh ingredients. The wine explanations were excellent, and the timing of serving the three wines was perfect. We would love to stay again.

The infinity Onsen was wonderful. It was the perfect temperature, and my husband and I stayed in for two hours. Since Onsen are usually separated by gender, I’m usually alone wherever we go, but this was the first time we could enjoy an Onsen together. The buffet didn’t have a huge variety, but the individual sashimi servings were very delicious, and for someone my age it was more than enough. This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

It had been a while since my spouse and I stayed here, and thank you for taking such good care of us. As always, the staff, the Room, the meals, and the bath (in-room bath) were all very satisfying. This is an Accommodation we would like to stay at again.

The fresh fish sashimi was outstanding. The meat dishes were also delicious, and we were very satisfied. The service was courteous and attentive. I think this Accommodation would be comfortable with no issues for guests up to their 60s. As Tokiwaya is a traditional Ryokan, I felt there are many challenges in terms of accessibility. I stayed with my 95-year-old mother, so I made a Reservation for a Room with a private bath, but there were many steps inside the Room and the bathtub was deep (my mother was able to step over it), which unfortunately made it difficult to use.

This was my first stay, and all the staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious.

We used the Parent-and-Child Trip Plan and the 50+ & Weekday Plan. Our Room was a Japanese-modern suite with a Shigaraki-ware open-air bath (smoking allowed). Spacious and comfortable! The bed was great too! And with breakfast and dinner included, it was just over JPY 11,000 per person—such a good deal! I use e-cigarettes, but even though an ashtray was provided, the Room didn’t smell of smoke at all, so I felt bad and ended up smoking outside. There are ashtrays in several places within the Facility, which was helpful. There isn’t much around within walking distance, so we decided to enjoy our time at the Accommodation. The karaoke was busy, but we managed to get a one-hour slot (additional charge). The karaoke room is quite spacious. The baths do not allow tattoos. My daughter used the public bath while I used the tub in our Room. She said the public bath felt wonderful. The in-room bath was also very comfortable with a nice view. One thing to note: I couldn’t find a faucet for washing up by the bath—maybe there was one? Since there is a separate shower room, I washed there and then moved to the bath. The bathroom door has good soundproofing, so noise hardly reached the bedroom. I relaxed while playing music on my phone. One more thing... The bathroom is fully visible from the bedroom, so when my daughter wanted to use it, I went for a walk outside. A small screen or partition would be helpful. There were bathrobes, but only two small towels and no bath towels. I had brought my own and used that; if you hang it on a hanger it dries quickly. The tub is fairly large and deep—very comfortable. We often stay at Livemax when exploring around Izu, and this place also has great food. I like lively buffet atmospheres, so we enjoyed it here as well. All-you-can-eat salmon roe at both dinner and breakfast—this was amazing! Dinner items like meat and shrimp sashimi were great too, and breakfast breads and egg dishes were delicious. The shower head, hair dryer, and iron were all ReFa—my daughter was thrilled. They really are nice. From check-in to check-out, all staff provided excellent service. Service in the restaurant was also attentive, making our time very comfortable overall. Thanks to you all, my daughter and I had a wonderful trip. Thank you! *One small concern: When we entered the Room there were empty cans and some trash left in the bin. It seemed like something had been missed during cleaning—and I also wondered why someone would throw cans into that bin.

We stayed as three generations—parents and adult children. The sunset from the Room was truly beautiful, and we enjoyed the contrast between the sea and the setting sun. Every dish was delicious, and the portions were generous—we left completely full. Breakfast also featured many local specialties with a wide variety, so we ended up eating too much in the morning. The Room was kept clean and well maintained, and we never felt uncomfortable. The bath also offered a panoramic view of the sea, and we enjoyed it many times. One small downside—if I had to mention something—was that one of the locker doors in the changing room wouldn’t stay open (it wouldn’t hold in place when opened and would close on its own). Everyone at the front desk and in the restaurant was very kind, allowing us to spend our trip comfortably. It’s a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again if we have the chance. This was my first stay here. The staff were very courteous, and the meals offered a wide variety of dishes. Being served in the Room allowed us to relax and take our time. I did notice some dark staining on the shower hose and floor in the bathing area, but there were many types of facial cleansers and serums available, as well as horse oil shampoo, which left both my skin and hair feeling great. Early in the morning by the sea, I went fishing at a spot I was shown and caught plenty of good-sized whiting. Because of the heat, it was a short trip, but I was very satisfied with the catch. Next time, I’ll visit during a cooler season. Overall, I was extremely satisfied—especially with the meals! Thank you again, and I look forward to staying with you again.

I stayed here last year and it was so comfortable that I came back again this year. You can use the pool until late at night, the Room has a great view, and the on-site restaurant is excellent. It’s efficiently managed, so there are quite a few self-service aspects. That’s convenient with no hassle, but older guests may find it a bit confusing. Having a front-loading washing machine in the Room is extremely helpful (detergent is also provided). If you plan to enjoy the pool and other facilities, be sure to make your Reservation in the Central Building, as each building is separate.

What stood out most during this stay was the French cuisine at the restaurant “BLUNO.” It was truly delicious. Each dish was prepared with great care, and I enjoyed everything to the very end—not only for its beautiful presentation, but also because you could really taste the quality of the ingredients. Rather than just “Hotel food,” it made me think, “I want to stay here again just to eat this French cuisine.” It greatly increased my overall satisfaction with this stay. The Hotel itself was clean and comfortable, with a calm atmosphere. For bathing, you use the adjacent spa Facility. The water temperature was pleasantly lukewarm for a long soak, but I prefer hotter baths, so that part was a little disappointing. Even so, it was still a highly satisfying stay overall. In particular, I would love to enjoy BLUNO’s dishes again.

This was my fourth stay. It’s a wonderful Hotel with great value: an Onsen public bath, unlimited welcome drinks in the lounge until night, and above all, an excellent breakfast. I did notice the limited amenities, but given the outstanding cost performance, it may be unavoidable as a cost-saving measure. However, I would like to see improvement regarding the drinking water in the public bath being unavailable (it may have just been out of order that day). I usually choose a Plan with dinner and breakfast, and for the selectable dinner I ate at “Toyotsune,” but since their station-front branch across from the Hotel is currently closed, this time I chose breakfast only. The breakfast features Oita specialties such as freshly fried tempura from a live kitchen and “Ryukyu,” and you can also make a luxurious TKG using the branded egg “Ran-O.” Even the miso soup included Kurome seaweed from Oita, with a rich dashi flavor. It’s such an impressive spread that I look forward to it every time. The Room was also clean and comfortable with a smart TV. Thank you again for this stay.
