Thank you very much for having us during our stay. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our meals comfortably on a floor with a wonderful view. In particular, the handwritten message and lovely illustrations at breakfast were very soothing, and we truly felt the staff’s kindness. Thank you. Thank you as well for the Shuttle Service the following day. If there is a regular shuttle to the station, we would appreciate being able to use it on our return trip as well.

It was my first time at Shirahone Onsen, and it exceeded everything I had heard. A milky-white, wonderfully silky bath with a proper sulfur scent—my skin felt so smooth afterward. As for the Ryokan, the hospitality was astonishing by today’s standards. They greeted us right at our car upon arrival and even carried our luggage. Every staff member was consistently polite, and if they saw us heading to the baths, they would immediately call the elevator for us. Most surprising of all was the food—everything was delicious. It was my first time trying snow trout sashimi, and I couldn’t believe how good it was. The dishes weren’t just tasty; they were also beautifully presented. The Ryokan’s Shifuku Mochi was also amazing—I bought three boxes as souvenirs. My husband usually doesn’t eat Japanese sweets, but he unusually ate four pieces. When we contacted them out of concern that heavy rain might close the roads, they kindly explained everything in detail as well. Overall, I felt the staff’s level of hospitality was exceptional—it’s easy to see why so many guests return. I’d love to come again next year. Thank you very much!

Not only were the meals and the wonderful Onsen outstanding, but I was also deeply comforted by the staff’s hospitality. Their warm smiles and sincere service reminded me that people can be healed by people. I would love to visit again in winter. The coffee after breakfast was delicious, and I could really feel the proprietress’s attention to detail. It became a memorable trip to Akita. Thank you very much.

The staff’s service was courteous and flawless from our arrival to our departure. The meals were generous, and we ended up eating too much. The bath in the Room was an Onsen where we could relax and soak for as long as we liked, so we didn’t mind the view outside the window. The road noise was a little loud, but it wasn’t noticeable inside the Room. One disappointment was that the bed was a narrow single, and I worried about falling off.

Because the Reviews were so positive, I had wanted to stay here for a long time. When I actually stayed, all the staff were very kind and attentive, and I was able to spend my entire stay feeling comfortable. It was a very good Hotel. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

Thank you for your hospitality the other day. When I told you I can’t eat raw fish, thank you for preparing alternative dishes. The food looked great and tasted wonderful, and we also enjoyed the complimentary extra dish. The bath warmed me up so well that I stayed warm for a long time afterward. The detox water after the bath was also delicious. It was great to be offered a draft beer as a welcome drink at check-in—it was the perfect refreshing drink after a long drive. I would love to stay with you again.

I had stayed at Kinkonko several times before, and after it became Regina Resort, we chose to stay again—especially as it coincided with our younger child’s birthday. It was an even better stay than I imagined; the time spent with our dog felt truly special. Just as rumored, the consistently dog-first hospitality warmed our hearts throughout the trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with smiles and greeted us by name, and our dog immediately relaxed. The Room and shared spaces were exceptionally well stocked with amenities for dogs, and their thoughtful attention to detail really stood out. A surprise that made us especially happy During our stay, I casually mentioned in conversation that our dog’s birthday was coming up—and to my surprise, they quickly prepared a birthday cake as a special treat. I was amazed by such a wonderful gesture, and having the staff celebrate together with us filled my heart. Seeing our dog happily enjoying the cake became an unforgettable memory. Surrounded by Yufuin’s beautiful nature, this is truly a dream-like Accommodation where both dogs and owners can relax without any hesitation. It was an outstanding Accommodation that I would wholeheartedly recommend for important anniversaries or creating special memories with your dog. We definitely want to come back again! We have stayed at many pet-friendly Accommodations before, but Regina Resort Yufuin was the most satisfying in every way. Next time, we hope to stay in “Kakoi,” the new annex.

Although we often visit Kyoto on day trips, we decided to stay overnight for a change and used this Hotel as a family. We checked in early and planned to sightsee around the Hotel, but it was so comfortable that we didn’t go out and instead relaxed in our Room. The building, made with locally sourced timber, had a wonderful atmosphere, and the Room Facility was new and very pleasant. All of the Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Personally, I found the welcome sweets especially delicious. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

I had always remembered that my late mother stayed here about 35 years ago and said it was a wonderful Hotel, so I decided to stay this time. We originally made a Reservation for two Rooms for six people across three generations, but one person couldn’t come due to work, and then two days before our stay my father and brother (in a separate household) came down with fevers from colds. In the end, our group was reduced by half, but despite the repeated changes, you handled everything very kindly and thoughtfully. Thank you. We arrived at 11:30 after checkout time and planned to park our car first and go sightseeing in Matsushima by the Hotel shuttle bus. However, your staff told us we could complete check-in procedures in advance, and when we returned they arranged it so we could simply pick up the key at a separate counter and go straight to our Room. This helped us avoid crowds and was truly appreciated. Because I have difficulty walking, I requested an ocean-side Japanese-Western style Room. The view was excellent, the Room was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was just right. We could see the sunrise directly in front of us. For dinner we chose the seafood buffet; there were many kinds of sashimi and grilled items, each dish was high quality—it was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed it. At breakfast as well, they cooked items like cheese omelets individually on the spot for each guest. The food exceeded our expectations! As for the baths, there were no issues at all. At sunrise time, watching the sun rise over Matsushima Bay right in front of the open-air bath moved me deeply. For someone like me with limited mobility, getting around was easy—the layout made sense and walking distances were reasonable—so it wasn’t physically taxing. It helped me truly understand why my mother, who had limited use of her hands and feet due to a similar condition, said this Hotel was so good. With check-in at 14:00 and checkout at 11:00, being able to relax without rushing is another great point. The staff service; the view from the Room; amenities; meals; baths—everything made this an excellent Hotel. When I come to Matsushima again, I sincerely want to stay at Taikanso again! Since expectations are high now that I know how good it is firsthand next time I'd like a Multiple Night Stay so I can enjoy other meals as well. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

We stayed with an infant and a young child, and had a very comfortable stay. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and every staff member was extremely kind and hospitable, so we felt at ease throughout our stay. The meals were well prepared and thoughtfully presented. Since we have children, we are careful about ingredients and additives, but we were able to enjoy everything with peace of mind right through to the final dessert. It was also convenient that the bus stop for the Komagatake Ropeway Station is right in front of the Accommodation. For families with small children, this Accommodation has it all—the spacious Room, the warm support from the staff, reassuring meals, and a convenient location—making it very easy to stay here. We would definitely like to return.

Our family of four stayed for two nights. From check-in onward, the Hotel staff were wonderfully welcoming, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. What impressed us most was the outstanding hospitality of everyone on the team. Not only the person who assisted us at check-in, but also the staff during meals were consistently courteous and attentive. It never felt like formal or scripted service—just genuine care that made dining as a family truly enjoyable. The Onsen was also fantastic, and we were able to relax and unwind at a leisurely pace. Spending two nights together as a family made for a truly wonderful trip. There are many reasons to choose a Hotel—Facilities, location, and more—but what really makes you want to come back is the warmth of the people who work there. We were all very satisfied. When we visit Karuizawa again, we would love to stay here again. Thank you for such a lovely time.

Thank you for accommodating us on short notice for my father’s celebration. He was truly moved. He also really enjoyed the Hotel breakfast and said he would come again on his own next time. We stayed again this year, following last year’s visit. This time, it was a 2-night, 3-day beach trip for three of us: an elderly couple and our granddaughter (first grade). Both on arrival and departure, the staff guided us in the parking lot, helped carry our luggage, and spoke to us kindly—this was extremely helpful. Working in this heat must be tough; thank you for all your hard work. The building was very clean, and the Room cleaning was thorough. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed dinner both nights while watching beautiful sunsets. The dinner style differed between the first and second nights: on the first night we had a kaiseki course featuring Murakami beef shabu-shabu as the main dish, and on the second night we had a seafood kaiseki course. Both the Murakami beef on day one and the crab on day two were excellent—our granddaughter finished her crab within minutes of starting dinner. If I had to ask for one thing, I would have loved even a small portion of Murakami beef on the second night as well, since it’s something you can only eat when visiting this area (though we do make use of hometown tax donations). We were originally told that dinner would be at “Kaiou” on both nights, but about 15 minutes before dinner on the second night we suddenly received notice of a venue change. The staff member apologized repeatedly; however, in a Hotel that accommodates so many guests, it actually reassured me that careful checks are being done in advance. Buffet-style dining isn’t bad, but for an elderly couple like us, having kaiseki served at just the right timing is much easier. I sincerely hope you will continue offering it. It’s also wonderful that right behind the Hotel is a beach with excellent access: after leaving the beach we could rinse off sand at the outdoor showers and head straight to the Onsen. There was even a washing machine available to rinse swimsuits—truly convenient. After soaking in the Onsen, all three of us relaxed in the lobby while enjoying complimentary Momotaro ice pops. On day two, when we asked at reception for advice so we could enjoy swimming at Sasagawa Nagare Beachline area more fully—including which beach and where to park—they kindly helped us with great care. There was also plenty of information we couldn’t get from checking with AI beforehand; combining both made our trip even more enjoyable. Local knowledge really is invaluable. On our final day as well—at our granddaughter’s request—we enjoyed swimming until mid-afternoon before rinsing off sand in the shower and saltiness in the Onsen prior to heading home. Driving back to Tokyo after swimming was tiring, but it became a fulfilling trip full of wonderful memories. If my stamina holds up, I’d love to come again next year. Thank you very much.

The male front desk staff member was wonderful, and it made me very happy. When I asked a question, he responded with far more flexibility than I expected, which truly impressed me. Thank you very much. He also listened to my conversation with my parents and kindly informed us of the bus schedule without us even having to ask—his thoughtful attention was very pleasant. Thank you for taking care of us during our stay. Dinner was served at a fast pace, so it felt a bit rushed. Since we had the earliest time slot and other guests were coming in afterward, I understand it couldn’t be helped.

I made a Reservation the day before my stay after reading the reviews. It was No Meals Included, but the service and atmosphere were great—this was a wonderful Hotel just as described. There is parking, and it’s fairly close to the station, so I recommend it. If I have the chance to visit again, I will definitely stay here. To all the staff, thank you for providing such a comfortable space.

Since we reserved a detached Room, we were able to check in early and enjoy the open-air bath at the large public bath at our own pace. The Room was spacious and spotless, and above all, the charming open-air bath was outstanding. The meals were not only made with quality ingredients but also thoughtfully prepared with extra care, which we enjoyed to the very end. Every member of the guest room staff was pleasant, chatting with us in a friendly way while keeping a comfortable distance. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again.

Although we only stayed for just under six hours on a day trip this time, it was a soothing space where we could relax and feel refreshed after a long time. The full-course kaiseki dinner was beautifully presented with a seasonal touch and was absolutely delicious. Next time, we would definitely like to return for an overnight stay.

The Room and beds were flawless. The meals were also more than sufficient for us as an older couple with smaller appetites—we even wondered, “Is this really a lighter portion?” Everything was delicious. Not only was dinner served in our Room, but we were also able to have breakfast in a private dining room, so we could enjoy it at our own pace. When the season changes, we would love to stay again and look forward to the seasonal menu changes.

I love Manyo-no-Yu’s hydrogen-rich water bath because it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. Manyo-no-Yu also offers both Japanese and Western breakfast options, and during a Multiple Night Stay I enjoy choosing whichever I feel like each morning. I’d like to stay at more Manyo-no-Yu locations in the future.

I have been staying here for several years, and this is my third stay this year, following winter and spring. The seasonal cuisine is both delicious and beautifully presented. The drinks in the refrigerator have changed from Jurokucha to green tea since last year, but I would prefer a caffeine-free tea at night.
